Quite a fragrant char kway teow with good wok hei, garlic and pork lard fragrance, and more savoury and dry than sweet and wet.
汤是清甜型,奶白而有猪骨味。This was a pork bone broth rather than seafood broth, but was sufficiently thick and savoury.
This stall was in the food court on the left of Sultan Plaza, facing Jalan Sultan. Very savoury and layered soup cooked from pork and seafood, and laced with alcohol. The thick mee sea was cooked just nice and possessed some bite, while the lala and prawn were all fresh, plump and sweet. Quality stuff.
I truly enjoyed Famous Pao Fan, especially their rendition with lobster.
There used to be a time where Pao Fan is only served in premium Chinese restaurants and the Pao Fan trend in hawker stalls over the past six months is a welcoming treat for all Pao Fan lovers. Drop by Famous Pao Fan if you are in the vicinity.
I kinda liked the thin slices of kurobuta pork here.
The signature is the Lobster Pao Fan ($16) which comes with half a lobster, clams, fried egg and crispy rice puff.
