Definitely worth a return visit, assuming I can get another slot – it’s a really small place so it tends to get booked up super quickly (wasn’t even sure I wanted to share about it but I guess good business for them is good for us too in a way).
Yeah, it was good. There was a huge selection of fresh ingredients to choose from, and the broth was smooth and satisfying.
Miraku is surely one of those local small-time restaurants that I hope stays around for a long time.

Overall, Sumo-Ya is a hidden gem in the heart of town; not only were the prices affordable, the quality of the food and its execution is certainly being well taken care of at its price point.

They were so understaffed that I waited at least 30 minutes for that bowl above, and the restaurant wasn't even full. Worse, the noodles were too soft, and the karaage was stone cold, as if it'd been sitting around for perhaps the same 30 minutes...and weirdly using some kind of cereal flake rather than batter.
