A really instagrammable cafe. The Korean Dalgona Coffee was bitter, but creamy and smooth. The caramel crisps were a very nice accompaniment.
Recommended by The Ranting Panda. The Japanese Dashi Noodle was a nice light ramen. The dashi broth was light and refreshing, yet savoury and slightly porky and oily with hints of citrus. Both the pork and duck cha shu were flavourful, with the pork carrying some smokiness from being torched. The noodles were springy with bite. Nice comforting bowl.
Recommended by Johor Kaki, and many others before him. The noodles were soft and the sauce was really plentiful, flavourful and strong without being overwhelming – ketchup sweet, vinegary, savoury and lardy. Sweeter and more tangy than many others. The fishballs were standard springy ones with good fish flavour, minced pork fresh and savoury, liver crunchy, mushrooms juicy and earthy. The soup was also porky, rich and tasty. Nice.

I was at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay to check out the Afternoon Tea at the Portman’s Bar. The pretty afternoon tea served in a whimsical briefcase has been making its rounds on social media and I wanted to see if the quality and taste would live up to the pretty images.

This is allegedly a shop from Japan, although I'm not entirely sure how similar the local rendition here is (18 Robinson Road #03-02).
