The ambience in itself transforms seamless when the sun goes down, and then it’s a nice place to chill.
Overall, Rookery is a casual modern all-day dining destination in CBD.
Rookery is a cafe and bar located right in the CDB area.
I'll say it is a great place to go for a nice dinner with the folks or colleagues (lunch sets, I heard, are also good).
Diners can choose between three dim sum sets and three lunch sets from the wok station.
Kia Hiang Claypot Organic Chicken is definitely a must order whether you are at Kia Hiang or at Myo.
Overall, it was a unique and enriching experience.
The food here is not bad, and I did get some education with reference to the kazuki toro.
a place that office folks would love to have as a lunch option in the area.
It looks like Shimonoishiki has been expanding its lunch menu, with things like this anagodon appearing now. It was a sauceless shirayaki, and fortunately still based on good quality products. But I wasn't flipping out about it either. At least it added to the midday options available.
Here's the lunchtime kaisendon from Shimonoishiki. The rice was a bit heavy on the vinegar, but the cuts of fish were good enough that I was still happy when I ate it.
This is allegedly a shop from Japan, although I'm not entirely sure how similar the local rendition here is (18 Robinson Road #03-02).
SO Singapore Christmas Brunch 2021, SO Singapore Christmas 2021 Review by Chubby Botak Koala, So Singapore Festive Dining 2021, SO Singapore Christmas

I was still happy to eat it all, including an impressively spicy Merguez sausage.
Possibly the first Muslim-owned Bagel Shop in Singapore and located in the heart of the CBD, Beigelhaus served generously filled and delicious bagels!
Chunky lobsters mark high in terms of affordability although we felt that it has great potential that have yet to be unleashed.
Fortunately, the quality of the lobster meat was good, being nice and firm without drowning in mayo.
Go early, they sell out quickly, and the queue is long.
I find the sides here more interesting compared to some other established salad bar.
Still, not complaining about having another healthy lunch place!
Pickleville is great for coffee with friends or for even some me time.
A place that is hidden away from sight; perhaps a deliberate move considering it is situated within a co-working space in the heart of the Central Business District, Pickleville is a gem for those in the area waiting to be uncovered.
It’s refreshing to find a café in the central business district that peddles both local and western style coffee and tea, catering to the needs of everyone.
We don't know how long this place is gonna remain a secret. We reckon that it will get really crowded in no time!
I would recommend diners to come off peak because when the store was packed, it got rather claustrophobic and some orders seemed to have got mixed up.
Overall, we enjoyed the ambience at Mellower Coffee and I would likely drop by again.
There is a Sendakan stall right next to Jiakali at Chinatown Complex Food Centre (335 Smith Street #02-254), where I grabbed this fried pork hor fun.

Every item was good, with the only exception being the noodles having a slight kee or alkaline flavour, although this was made up for by the outstanding sauce made of dried shrimps and kelp.

A trip to Maxwell to da bao brought us to some of our favorites and some new experiences too. China Street Fritters and their Ngoh Hiang, Liver Rolls, Egg Slice and Sausage with Bee Hoon.
Nice. The rendang was nutty and lemak
Here was the yuxiangqiezi from Birds of a Feather, a place that I haven't been back to in ages. The dishes were dressed up with lots of fancy garnishes; their barramundi chazuke was more upscale (complete with a theatrical presentation) compared to the one at Sichuan Alley.
Birds Of A Feather 2022 115 Amoy Street #01-01 https://www.birdsofafeather.com.sg/ Pork Dumplings (SGD $17)
Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.
The Coconut Club 必點美食有椰漿飯,半熟蛋、花生、黃瓜、魚乾及叄巴醬,主食是用香料醃製的炸雞,外酥內軟一點都不柴,整體椰香濃郁好吃
Dishes are generally still good, though prices have also gone up as with most establishments in Singapore.
The highlight was the Nasi Lemak so we ordered the signatures and side dishes to try for 5 of us.
