Istanbul restaurant in Horizon Hills, Johor Bahru. Is where you go to find authentic Ottoman Turkish cuisine apparently.Well, let’s go and check it out then....
My most favourite is also the chef’s recommendation, Firin Beyti Kebabi. This is stated as the favorite dish of Sultan Abdul Medjid. It contains beef mince, lamb, garlic, chili, cheese, mushrooms and tomato in dough.
Terpegun kejap tengok deko kedainya. Mengikut kata tuan punya kedai En Mustapha, kesemua perhiasan, termasuk lampu, karpet, cawan, pinggan mangkuk dan juga Chefnya pun, semua dari Turki. Dah kata kedai makan Turki, so mestilah fefeeling pun nak kena ada kaann, hehehe.
As I nibbled the tender lamb off its bone, the soft-spoken Chef Geoff patiently explained that the taste of their quality meats was carefully maintained while the meats were skillfully grilled in their lava-stone grill.
A favourite with many Indians and non-Indians since opening, Vanakam India wins big points for their consistency, quality of its pan-Indian fare and the knowledge of the friendly serving staff. If, like us, you’re into the origins of authentic recipes and travel vicariously through eating, this Indian restaurant by Bala and acclaimed show celeb Gowri will definitely appeal!
Black pepper crab is humongous, meat is fresh and tender :)
(This is purely my personal food review and i am not getting paid for this review)This restaurant serves authentic Indian food which will give us the taste o...
As I savoured each comforting spoonful of soup, I could understand why Teumsae is where homesick Koreans come for the comfort of family-style, homecooked favourites.
Restoran Teumsae is simple, clean, bright and comfortable inside with furnishings well spaced out.
With its headquarter in Myeongdong and one of the most popular fusion food restaurants in Seoul since 1981, TEUMSAE actually means “a narrow space between walls”. Despite its small space, there’s always a queue lining up around the place. Another interesting aspect there is we can leave any messages on the restaurant’s wall. Covered with thousands of testimonials written on slips of paper, it’s obvious this place is something special.
All in all, the ambience of Fika Farmhouse scores but the food on the other hand was pretty decent and standard fare.
Fika Farmhouse serves up a mix of Western and local cuisine with a twist so you can choose what you’re feeling like that day. Try their Char-Grilled Seafood Fried Rice if you’re craving something local. Or choose from Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti, Szechuan Mala Tenderloin Pasta, Pan Seared Salmon Steak – and end your meal with their coffee, hot tea, fizzy drinks and variation of desserts. There’s no better way to celebrate good brunch!
I know that my nephew’s choice of Salmon Mentaiko Benedict meets with his expectations. It comprises two poached eggs topped with Mentaiko Hollandaise sauce and asparagus sticks resting on split toasted English muffins spread with house-made Guacamole. Two poached eggs in Salmon Mentaiko Benedict I can see how he’s enjoying his gooey eggs that blends well with Mentaiko Hollandaise sauce and the way he’s wiping the plate clean with pieces of muffin.
I think it tastes great! I’ll start with the pizza first and I really enjoyed that combination of a tasty provolone-mozzarella cheese. The cheese is definitely striking whilst that chorizo is really tasty as well with that mix of spice and meatiness. But overall, a good quality pizza that fixed my craving for a good pizza! Definitely a pizza that I enjoyed!
Coppola will not be complete without a dish named after the famous film icon so the next recommended item is Pizza Francis. This popular choice of freshly-baked flatbread is topped with bacon, chorizo (pork sausage), mushrooms and sliced chilli, for a hint of heat.

至于味道方面,我觉得他们的料理属于偏酸带微辣
Spice Grill is a fine dining restaurant that serves fusion and authentic Indian Cuisine.
Hidden underneath the bright and glitzy Puteri Harbour is a cozy little restaurant in 7 Grapes. Although narrow in size, 7 Grapes offers a very wide menu which will definitely leave you wanting to taste other items on your menu (sorry for the pun).
In case you feel a little famish after extended chilling out, there's no need to adjourn to a mamak shop for round two. Wrap up the session with pasta from 7 Grapes' kitchen such as this Seafood Linguine.
While it has a good environment with friendly staff, I believe that we will be back again for their beverages, if not their food.
The breakfast was decent and if you are looking for an air-conditioned breakfast place with local food, this place will suit you.
27 At Cove is a lively waterfront Bar & A restaurant in Puteri Harbour situated on the Puteri Cove. This place offer panoramic scenery with great food and tipsy cocktail.
And when the Lamb Chops with a side of vegetables and mashed potato is served, it was sheer pleasure to slice through the tender meat and savour its natural jus with every bite.
Quite tasty and generous pasta, in a chill ambience.

Then comes the piece de resistance, Bistecca alla AUS Wagyu MB6, 100 gm of Australian Wagyu Beef Steak in Medium doneness, which Chef Moka deftly sliced up for our convenience… This well marbled MB6 Australian Wagyu Beef is both tender and rich in flavour, and with a gentle chew, it just melts in my mouth…
Iberico Pork My portion looks grilled with charred bits outside but when I slice through the meat and sink my teeth into the first bite, I know that this tender tasty pork was initially prepared by the sous vide method.
Come and enjoy a delightful dinner, be inspired by youthful aspirational energy and support the leading edge of Johor food.
