Makan tengahari di Restoran Waroeng Penyet The Curve Damansara.Menu:1. Nasi putih2. Ayam penyet3. Ikan goreng4. Kangkung masak belacan5. Keropok warna6. Jus ...
Waroeng Penyet recently launched the Indomie Ayam Penyet @ RM12.90, which consists of crispy ayam penyet, fried tofu, tempeh and fresh local vegetables. Their ayam penyet is marinated with 9 types of Java spices and then deep fried. Taste wise, the ayam penyet had a spicy aroma in the chicken skin. It was meaty and tender, surprisingly paired well with the slightly heated Indomie noodles.
Lele Penyet/ Flattened Fried Catfish (RM7.90) Another recommended dish from Warong Penyet Penyets section. Deep fried to perfection, the fish is crispy outside with soft, fleshy fish filling. Again, the spicy sambal continued to whip up our appetite, we screamed for spiciness after every dipping but the spiciness was so good and addictive, too hard to resist. Served along with deep fried taufu and tempe.
Overall the food is good and the ambiance conducive for a comfortable (cool), unhurried meal. The service staff are helpful and polite (The Curve outlet) though they can be overwhelmed at times, especially during busy hours.
Raw Chef Yin visits Macha & Co, The Curve for some pure vegetarian banana leaf rice!
Ketika ena makan kat sini, first time la kan, so tak tahu menahu sangat.
Nasi Lemak Beef Rendang at MYR 9.48++ (5% service charge and 6% SST, MYR 10.52 nett) and a glass of hot teh tarik at MYR 3.10++ (MYR 3.43 nett). Taste is acceptable and price is not that high so this is our regular eatery.
Mutton Murtabak - MYR7.50++ (5% service charge and 6% GST making it MYR8.35 nett). Quite tasty with the minced mutton fillings but some people may find the mutton taste too strong for them.
Whenever we are at The Curve, we would go to Teh Tarik Place if we wanted to have a tasty meal (inclusive of a drink) for under MYR15 per person.
We were happy with our steaks though I agree with my brother that we could do with a better sear on the steaks.
Prosperity Beef Burger without the black pepper sauce and I have replaced the soft drink with hot tea.
There is a choice of 1 piece or 2 pieces of fish. I went for the 2 pieces of fish and chips set (MYR17.95 nett) that includes a soft drink which I changed to a cup of hot coffee by paying a top up of 50 cents.
I had the spicy chicken stew. It was very good with generous portions of chicken.
The chicken came sizzling hot! It was quite good. I liked the flavors, sweet, salty and spicy.
Possibly West Sumatra’s most popular export, Nasi Padang (rice from the town called Padang) is a specialty of the Minangkabau community. The cuisine encompasses assorted dishes: ranging from hot, spicy curries and milder, flavourful stews to deep-fried delicacies and vegetables cooked in sambal, to complement white rice.
连锁式的餐厅就是这样,不会难吃不过也不要想有什么惊喜,我还是喜欢在各家不同做法的餐厅里头冒险,有惊喜有时也会有地雷,有高低起伏才是人生嘛!
Deep fried red fish (small for 3 to 5 pax) at MYR 0.94++ (MYR 1.09 nett after 10% service charge and 6% SST). Crispy.
Set lunch at Red Lobster - prawns pasta at MYR 19.90 nett with a drink and unlimited cheddar biscuits. Both of us selected bottled water as the drink instead of iced lemon tea.
2nd course: Whole lobster pasta with mussels, prawns and scallops. The pasta is hidden underneath the lobster. Although the pasta is tasty but all 6 of us could not finish it because it was a big portion. We left a bit of pasta behind.
Lobster Tail, Shrimps and Salmon - MYR 119.90++ (10% service charge and 6% GST = MYR 139.80 nett). The lobster tail could be less salty. The salmon is tender and tasty. I don't like the shrimps because they are too crunchy so I won't ever eat shrimps here again. Should have known this from my previous visit to this chain. The half lemon saved the day by bringing a refreshing taste to this dish.

With over a million followers on Facebook, Wingstop- the popular fried chicken brand is finally here in Malaysia. This fast growing chicken restaurant brand is now open at the Curve, Mutiara damansara and is said to be opening more outlets in different locations in Malaysia over the next 6 years. The thing about fast casual restaurants is that diners are enjoying fast food in an ambience a lot more comfortable with food served to your dining table. With all this reputation, it is inevitable to admit there’s something about it that is alluring and at the same time attractive. And that, we are talking about signature American flavours like the buffalo wings and sticky BBQ wings as well as some of those Louisiana flavours etc, being served and made upon orders. Here, the personal meal is served with your choice of side; and each serving offers two flavours in a plate.
Their Milkshake and smoothies are the 2 range I will be recommending. One of the best milkshake in KL that I have come across for Malaysian market and worth to give it a try, also do try their hot milkshake. I personally find that the taste is richer.
The rib eye with truffled butter sauce in Ante is the star, tastes bit salty with the gravy and goes very well with the pork steak. Like it!
它家的『香烤豬扒』份量十足、魅力足以讓你神魂顛倒,烤香後的豬扒口感鮮嫩多汁,好吃到讓你吮手指,超讚得嘞~😍!
Ante, located beside Nandos, (2 shops beside Nandos to be exact) is a non-halal restaurant that serves premier pork steaks in One Utama. Although the meals displayed in the menu below is on the high end, we are here today to review on their set lunch which only available from 11AM to 3PM.
What do We Like about Mak's Chee Authentic Wanton? -Delicious springy wanton noodle and wanton -Soup base full of flavor and umami taste -Many possible combinations to choose from. From beef, pork, prawn, prawn roe, dried, soup, dumpling, wanton, thin to thick noodle
And madam got this order of rice with pork lard and luncheon meat. The rice was quite stodgy, taste was so so. I loved the runny eggs and the soy sauce that was served separately. The luncheon meat was good, not too salty at all.
This is something you would order if you want the best of both worlds, the wantan mee and the prawn wantans as well as prawn sui kow with black fungus. The noodles was totally dry, unlike the usual wantan mee which is served with dark sauce except this was dry so that we can feel the fragrance of the prawn roe. The prawn dumplings are to die for, absolutely heavenly. Quite worth the price since they gave about 6 dumplings instead of 4 pieces like in other fine dining wantan mee restaurants.
Molokhia Minced Leaf Stew + one side dish - RM11.55 Actually, I was a bit skeptical initially. Well, surprisingly, this Molokhia Minced Leaf Stew at this Tut's Eatery tastes great, I do not smell or taste anything greenish like grass. Molokhia is made up of stewed Molokhia leaves spiced with butter, garlic, coriander, cumin and black pepper. In fact, my friend love it, especially when it is eaten with toasted crispy buttered bread. Another highly recommended dish.
Bamya Lamb Stew + 1 side dish (RM 38.50) Double thumbs up for this dish!. Enjoy this tiny lady finger from Egypt where they are beautifully cooked in a delicious stew with the tender premium lamb cubes. Enjoy them with the dish of your choice.
Biram bamya succulent beef stew with 1 side (RM23.90) Daging lembut bersama bendi kecil. Kuah pekat. Very recommended..
While the meat is good and all, my favourite is actually the scallops, which are served in small tin foil bowls swimming in a flavourful broth. The scallops are sweet and juicy with a buttery taste – extremely addictive – and the broth is delicious too
Our lunch for two came up to RM120, which was pretty reasonable for a barbecue buffet. If you come on weekday afternoons, it’s RM39.90++ per pax.
Craving Japanese bbq ? At Rocku Yakiniku @ 1 Utama Shopping Centre, take your pick from premium cuts of meat and seafood, from tempting slices of pork belly ...
Amongst the mains, Claypot Lou Shee Fun left us with the deepest impression. The texture was amazing... addictively bouncy and the dish was expertly cooked. There were not much ingredients and toppings inside though... except a handful of deep fried Pork Lards
Snack for lunch - Curry Chee Cheong Fun (flat rice noodles) with pork slices, potatoes and beancurd puffs (tofu pok) at MYR 10.90++ (10% service charge and 6% SST so total is MYR 12.64 nett) at Oriental Cravings, One Utama. The chee cheong fun was hidden under the potatoes and beancurd puffs. As this was a snack portion, I was able to finish it on my own but was quite full after that.
Pumpkin, prawn and siu yoke fried meehoon... SWOON FACTOR, 9/10. Plump fresh sea prawns from sekinchan, sweet pumpkin and the crispy bits of sesame seed. If this dish isn't on the menu soon, I will personally write and complain to the management. Whoever they may be.
