The rib eye with truffled butter sauce in Ante is the star, tastes bit salty with the gravy and goes very well with the pork steak. Like it!
Ante, located beside Nandos, (2 shops beside Nandos to be exact) is a non-halal restaurant that serves premier pork steaks in One Utama. Although the meals displayed in the menu below is on the high end, we are here today to review on their set lunch which only available from 11AM to 3PM.
ANTE has upped the ante, let's hope the other eateries will place their bets the right way too!

Pasta lovers should not miss the BRAISED PORK SHOULDER LINGUINE (RM21.90) which came with nicely cooked linguine, trimmed boneless pork shoulder, and a dollop of sour cream. The pasta had a nice bite, wonderfully blended with the sour cream, which sort of enhanced the entire dish, flavourful without being overwhelming.
I have read about the tasty and juicy pork chop at Ante a few years ago and just recently I went there for lunch with my friend. I ordered pork striploin set lunch at MYR 25.90 nett which includes a glass of fresh lemon drink that is slightly sweet. I find the mashed potatoes to be very creamy and buttery.

I never knew the existence of a pork-centric restaurant residing in 1 Utama before a lovely dinner on the occasion of Ezel's birthday. From that moment onwards, Ante had become my go-to restaurant for amazingly delicious pork steaks. It is my trump card when needing to impress. Ante is aptly named. they have definitely upped the stakes and standard of pork steaks in my books. I may never be able to eat another pork steak that is not Ante's.
Overall, it was a perfect dinner for us. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. Second visit? Definitely, a BIG YES for me.
