thoughtfully-crafted creations with quality and upcycled ingredients, alongside brunch classics to cater to diners' discerning palates.
One can be adventurous, but we as diners will ultimately want every possible canon of legitimate taste — which can be found in the featured dishes, All so good.
So yes, i'd come back to strangers' reunion for the savoury brunch options. there are a number of items i have my eye on, and i'll love to come back to get my hands on those.
Beer's $5 a mug during happy hours. Sapporo on tap or Orion from bottle.
Dolc Patisserie is definitely worth a visit and perhaps even a few more.
In fact, they are home to a variety of other items on their menu, including sandwiches and bagels, which I look forward to trying the next time I visit with some friends.
Prices here are also reasonable, I find, with most of the menu priced under $20.
Kream & Kensho is a lovely addition to the cafe scene in Singapore, and I for one hope they stick around.
Good coffee at Kream & Kensho and I do like the cafe vibes here. It is worth checking out if you are a cafe lover.
While it is great to see more Korean-inspired bakes in Singapore to tide us through any Seoul wanderlusts, it is also lovely to have them even in local flavours.

I order their Thai Milk Tea and I am very disappointed! Their Thai Milk Tea doesn't taste like Thai Milk Tea at all! It tasted like diluted milk!
Overall, I have eaten at Ah Orh at least 3 to 4 times over the years and I do notice that in my recent visit, the standard of the dishes is not on par with previous years.
Ah Orh Teochew Food Delivery / Takeaway
Very fat, creamy, salty and fresh oysters, on top of a fragrant and unoily egg omelette.
Although we finally get to it here, we did not have enough stomach for other items on the menu. I will like to try out more of their recommended dishes on the menu. Let's make a return trip soon!
Makko Teck Neo is definitely a hidden gem located in a sleepy old neighbourhood.
Overall, we are glad that Makko Teck Neo Metropolis has opened. A good Peranakan restaurant is always welcome in the Buona Vista / Ghim Moh neighbourhood.
The char kway teow was toasty with wok hei, and more savoury than sweet, resembling Penang char kway teow. The noodles and kway teow were still quite firm, although soft enough. Not bad.
While the kway teow and bee hoon here are not the types I would typically favour, Hai Yan Fried Kway Teow Mee seems to have a cult following of customers who have a taste for these traditional, old-school local favourites. Let us know what you think of their Fried Kway Teow and Fried Bee Hoon should you decide to pop by and give them a go!
The porridge had a nice wok hei and savouriness, with an underlying sweetness to it. The eels were really bouncy (almost like kueh), qq and fresh, and they were really very generous with the eels. Something like fried porridge, but more luxe and sweet.

My experience at Rumah Rasa was mixed, at best. For every dish that I didn’t like, I could find another that deserved high praise.
If you love Indomie, check out this noteworthy menu at Rumah Rasa Pan-Indonesian restaurant that any instant noodle fan would die for!
We left with a satisfied tummy, and also a commitment of no instant noodles for the rest of this month.
This was a light and tasty bowl of fishball noodles. The mee kia was sold out, so I had the mee pok. The mee pok was cooked just right, springy without any residual doughy taste, coated with the lightest of a fragrant sauce (comprising I think pork lard oil, sesame oil and shallot oil), with just the slightest hint of spiciness. The fishballs were clearly handmade, with the mouthfeel landing between springy and textured, and a nice comforting and light flavour of fish. Nice.

Fatty Aunt's noteworthy for its boggling array of fried stuffed ingredients
I visited during off-peak hours but I reckon that diners have to sit shoulder to shoulder at this establishment during lunch time.
Having tried their bak chor mee and bean sauce noodles, I will definitely bring my parents back to try their other YTF pieces, as well as their laksa!
Tarts and eclairs also make an appearance on occasion.
It was quite a crowd when I arrived before 10am on a Saturday morning, where some of its items like the signature Kouign Amann (S$7) is already sold out.
Daniu Teochew Seafood Restaurant 大牛潮汕海鲜 is a new Teochew restaurant at Kampong Bahru which opened around the end of 2020.

Good Chance Popiah Eating House in Silat Avenue is a basic unpretentious restaurant. It is probably not the place to go on a first date when you are trying to impress.
Only kway teow with no noodles. Quite moist and oily, with the kway teow quite distinct although fairly soft with some bite. Not a bad char kway teow, with a slightly sweeter flavour profile, although not overly so.
