Here's the location.
我喜欢这里的硬尾鱼, 鱼肉里塞满了迷人的叁巴料, 让人垂涎欲滴, 胃口大开。
The portion was rather huge to be honest and ideally could comfortably fit up to 3 pax. It was dense, rich and undeniably sinful. Only those die-hard cheese fans would truly rejoice in such decadent piece. Nevertheless, it posed quite a challenge for both of us to chow it down- especially with the many big century eggs daintily sitting at the base as if beckoning to us try to clear ‘em all, lolz……
After some brief hesitation in a jiffy, we decided to go for the house famous best seller, namely Hybrid Madness (MYR 44). Each components of the cake sounded as boldly as they were contradicting to each other, but ironically this unison didn’t turn out that worrisome. Instead, they seem to be complementing each other subtly in arriving at a mutual balance of nuance. I mean, how not to wonder when you see the savoury anchovies which you would usually see in Nasi Lemak, was seen as your cake topping together with best ingredients to your porridge- salted egg and century egg! (=
The Mystery Moon - Century Eggs embedded into a cheese cake with lots of salted egg yolk toppings and deep fried caramelised anchovies toppings. So in summary, I will stick to my favourite cheese cake here and not try another cheese cake from this overly creative cafe but many returning customers vouch for their cempedak cheese cake and other cheese cakes which is the reason why they have been around for quite a number of years now.
Overall, I think this was a good meal and the roti and chicken stood at RM9, which is not too bad especially when you count the chicken.
Turun dari feri, gua mula berkayuh mencari arah. Destinasi pertama yang dituju bila mana turun di jeti feri Penang adalah dengan menuju ke lokasi sarapan ...
The roti canai at Transfer Road in Penang has been around for a long time and is often packed during weekends and public holidays. It is best to get there ...
And usually, I will have it with kaya and margarine. This is where one side of bread is spread with the creamy fragrant Kaya and another is Margarine. Or you can have them with curries as Well.
The Mee Udang was served with 4 mid-sized Prawns, the gravy was thick and carried a mild but discernible sweetness. The spicy-note can be tasted but slightly too mild for us. The texture of the noodles was nicely controlled, overall, we thought it was a decent Mee Udang.
Today, after 84 years of operations in Penang, See Kong Ooi has announced on their official Facebook page that they are closing down.
Salted Fish Minced Meat was one lovely dish we had during the night. Minced meat texture was great and coupled with the slightly salty condiments made this simple dish into great wondrous. It would go even better if eaten along with porridge.
我们喜欢这里,除了好吃的菜肴,就是喜欢这里的上菜速度够快,尽管用餐高峰时段高朋满座,绝对不会让你久等。
Kampung Nights, E & O Hotel RM198nett per adult, RM118nett per child/senior
Dining here is really nice, the environment is good and the food is tasty too. If you walk out from Sarkies, you can actually see the beautiful sea view just behind E&O hotel.
After a while of MCO, E & O Hotel is backed with the usual unlimited ala-carte and buffet lunch. This round a bit different is the add-in of dim sum series. For those that love to eat dim sum, you don’t need to go far. E & O Sarkies is serving the fresh and delightful dim sum. For my personal preference, I love the har gao (shrimp dumpling) here, where the shrimp inside is bouncy and fresh, the outer coat is thin and soft. It is one of the best in town.
Penang is famous for its Peranakan culture, particularly the well-known Baba Nyonya community. Established in 1933 as a kuih-specializing factory, Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay expanded to include a storefront in 2016, showcasing a remarkable commitment to Nyonya kueh.
Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Kuih has earned the prestigious Bib Gourmand status in the 2023 Michelin Guide KL and Penang list.
Moh Teng Pheow Nonya Koay was where we headed for our fix of Nonya Kuehs. Having visited Jason’s Nonya House and still craving for Nonya fare, we found Moh Teng Pheow Nonya Koay a popular venue for koahs such as Kueh Lapis, Kueh Talam and Kueh Bengka.
It was a night of splendor with the luxuriousness of ambiance, service and exquisite scrumptious cuisine.
虽然已经在槟城有稳稳地名誉和口碑了 他们也一直在提升自己,把料理做得更好。
Farquhar Mansion is a fine dining restaurant near Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
The name "Tok Tok" originates from the onomatopoeic sound a chef makes while kneading noodle dough with a bamboo pole, a tradition still observed at the entrance of this establishment.
The taste of the wantan mee are almost the same as before despite the chewiness of the noodle not as much and the gravy is more starchy. As for the Char Hor Fun, the taste is packed with wok aroma.
Tok Tok Mee Noodle House, used to known as Hong Kee Wantan Noodle now is operate by the next generation where the legacy of bamboo noodle was passed down. The taste of the wantan mee are almost the same as before despite the chewiness of the noodle not as much and the gravy is more starchy. As for the Char Hor Fun, the taste is packed with wok aroma.
Tasty savoury fragrant KL style wanton noodles with tasty plump wantons.
Polo Bun with Butter (菠萝油) – RM4.50, a very typical Hong Kong pastry. The top of the bun was covered with slightly sweet crust while the inner of the bun was stuffed with a piece of creamy butter. In Penang, it is so difficult to get Polo Butter Bun. That is the reason I came to this cafe to try out the bun. It is in fact one of their best-sellers and usually sold out by noon. The top crust was so nice and the bun was soft and warm. Having it with soft and creamy butter was simply satisfying. This bun is perfect when it is served warm.
For the menu, although I thought that the price is wallet-friendly but the choices are limited.
Pitt Street Koay Teow Thng is one of the famous Koay Teow Thng in Penang that has been around for 60years. The original location of this Koay Teow Thng was at Pitt Street. It was moved to the new location at Carnarvon Street a few years back. One of the Specialists of this shop is the fish balls that are made of Eel Fish and the fish balls are homemade. Pitt Street Koay Teow Thng also selling Char Koay Teow now and the taste is promising too.
Koay Teow Th'ng is flat rice noodles, served in soup. It is topped with their homemade Eel Fishballs, pork meat that has been minced and flattened, and we were surprised to find some golden deep-fried Pork Lards in the bowl as well. The noodles were silky smooth, every ingredient is in perfect harmony. The Eel fishball though has a slightly different texture than the usual fishball bounciness, we can taste the delicate sweetness of the eel itself. It is definitely a hearty bowl of delicious Koay Teow Th'ng!
The broth was out of this world. Subtly rich with the extract from the bones.
Besides the Teochew-style noodle, you can go all the way through to the Steamed Hor Fun with Groupa Fish Fillet and Roasted Pork with Crispy Noodle.
L Kitchen is a place where it’s suitable for all ages.
Overall, the food here was nice and some of the dishes were unique. However, certain dishes had a sweet ending
Narrow Marrow had been on our list for some time, and it truly did not disappoint when we finally visited it during this Penang trip. It’s definitely one of our favourite cafes in Penang.
Narrow Marrow is now open in Beach Street as of 30th July 2020.
There is the dirty bourbon tiramisu, and the kahlua tiramisu. The latter with the kahlua coffee-flavored liqueur leaves one with a feeling of contentment
Looking for a place to chill while having a good meal? Kraffmen Cafe is definitely the place to be.
St. Ali在墨尔本是一家相当有名气的咖啡馆,超高辨识度和知名度,这道菜式正是以这家咖啡馆名字命名
It’s amazing at how much care and effort Roots Desserts Bar puts into their food. The pictures on their menu, whether intentional or not, don’t make much of an impact so that when you actually receive your dessert, you’re wowed with its aesthetic. Mark came here alone when I wasn’t in the mood for dessert, then talked it up so much afterwards that we came here together the next night. With style and substance, Roots’ desserts are expertly presented while still being yummy.
This is the Christmas Special - about MYR 18.
Farquhar Bar at the E & O Hotel is a sophisticated oasis in the city, offering handcrafted cocktails and delectable finger foods. It's a go-to spot for discerning patrons seeking relaxation and indulgence in a luxurious setting.
Reasons to visit Farquhar’s Bar: a beautiful, stylish setting; excellent wine list; quality cocktails – be sure to try their barrel-aged Negroni; actually, they have an entire page of Negronis – reason enough to visit in itself.
♥Verdict: Anytime is a good time for cocktails! The Farquhar’s Bar team serve a delicious variety of cocktails in extremely decadent surroundings. I’m now imagining myself nestle into the poshy leather sofa and soak in the bar’s air of elegance and old-world charm.
But yea, overall nice experience and my first hidden bar!
来到【天下第一客栈】,大家一定要点他们的招牌鸡尾酒 -- 女儿红!
Definitely, a "superb" interesting place to hang-out.
New World City Food Court is located right in the heart of Georgetown. For me, point me to Penang Char Kway Teow and I will go for it! The version here is with Duck Egg and perfect. Wok Hei, not to…
Overall, most of the food here in New World Park Food City are great and delicious.
The food is also quite reasonable and has a good mix of pizza, burrito, pasta, big breakfast etc. The only downside is the carpark beside charges RM8 per entry for the night.
The Charcoal Four Cheese Margherita Pizza, with thin crispy charcoal crust and generous lashings of pizza sauce, cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, feta cheese), tomato, sweet basil and extra virgin olive is memorably tasty.
