Our lunch at Yilo Restaurant & Bar was a satisfying one. The Moonlight Hor Fun and Huo Bao Pork Slice dishes stood out with their delicious flavors. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service added to the experience, making Yilo a place worth revisiting.
Jiang Nan Style Noodles cooked in Cantonese Style with egg soup sauce mixed into seafood such as prawns, cuttlefish, vegetables and mushroom loaded with the noodles where Malaysian love this dishes and one of the popular and signature dishes for Hot Plate Noodle. The serving size should be enough for 2-3 person who share this dishes. Yummy!
The SS23 branch offers 12 high seat bat stools facing bar counter but now closed and 15 "4-seater" tables with CMCO only 11 tables with 2 customer max/table
‘Woon Chai Taufoo’ (Taufoo Bowl) is one of their specialties and I recommend that you go for this. The name of this dish is being derived from the way its prepared i.e. taufoo in a bowl. The taufoo texture is really smooth and is served together with oyster sauce and crispy dried prawns. The amount of oyster sauce can be reduce though. This yummy dish costs RM8
The Nasi Lemak stall operated by an elderly couple offers chinese cooking Nasi Lemak with Sotong, beef, achar, fish, curry chicken, and fried mushroom. My plate of Nasi Lemak with the fried mushroom, beef, and boiled egg is at rm$7.50.
definitely quite a few breakfast choices to choose from.
What a wonderful world at Sis & Co at Ara Damansara. A spectacular sight to behold! Tastefully done interior with a luxurious fe...
Roast Pork Belly (MYR 35) Crispy roast pork served with pickled papaya salad, mashed potato and dipping sauce. Would love to opine that the siew yuk here was actually pretty good- considering this Oriental affair is delivered from some Western kitchen but still got executed with crackling crispy skin! The accompanied relish was lovely too!
Piggie Pesto, 29 ringgit. This was good. It was a classic pesto pasta with smoked pork bacon and pork croutons. A lil dryer than the pesto pastas I usually have and with a whole lot lesser pesto sauce but it was nevertheless tasty. The pork croutons was a creative inclusion, it certainly did add flavor and some chewyness to this dish. There were button mushrooms scattered all over which added more texture to the dish. Overall, a good dish.
Eat at J's cafe in PJ.
BANANA CREAM PIE & KEY LIME PIE (MYR 10.50 each) Pies are lovesome here, namely Banana Cream and Key Lime. Contrasting with the tartness of the calamansi themed confectionary, I personally love the former one as the banoffee-like pastry is house-crafted just nice, not overly sweet nor soggy, which more often than not, is kinda saccharine after the banana got caramelized as encountered elsewhere. So whenever now am craving for some sweet fix, I’ll literally ‘Eat @ J’s’! (✿◠‿◠)
The entrance has an outstanding decoration with all the wooden walls, which enhance the cafe's unique and retro feel. It's a perfectly pleasant little space from the look of the outside.
I think the food here is alright, albeit priced slightly higher. Pork belly is not exactly great, slightly salty, but decent. My mom claims the assam fish got not enough kick and different from..
♥Verdict: We really like the Assam Pedas and willing to give this place a second chance to try out more of their dishes such as the roasted duck, purple porridge and braised pork belly which are quite attractive to me.
Good quality food, and tasty.
Verdict: MJ Wang is a place that we’ll happy to return to try have the GSHF again. There’s a beef noodle that I would like to try out too on my next visit, stay tune for more reviews!
When this was recommended by Elmo Lee on one of his Youtube videos (click here), we decided to check out the Ipoh Mali YTF stall here. Priced at RM1.40-RM2 apiece, the YTF here is quite substantial with a good amount of filing.
We really enjoyed it. The filling was quite scrumptious and seasoned well with enough fish filling (instead of mainly flour). We like that they added a generous amount of scallion in the paste as well as big chunks of radish. This gave us different textures to bite into. Great stuff!
What do We Like about Sea Park Dessert, Paramount Kopitiam? -Many variety of stuffs suitable for tea time, snack and even as full proper meal -Cheap and tasty
If you’re looking for cheap and decent Chinese teatime snacks in PJ, this is the place to check out. Their Glutinous Rice and Fried Bee Hoon (doused with curry gravy) are among the more popular dishes here.
百乐门茶餐厅 Paramount Kopitiam is a typical corner shop lot multi-store Chinese kopitiam with indoor/outdoor seating. I remember for many years the outdoor seating is an open air space with hawker stalls as well as a dry market selling vegetables and meats; the open air is now a covered area which houses the outdoor seating areas and hawker stalls.
The home- roasted coffee beans are freshly ground and brewed in all outlets to ensure the quality of every cup.
Our foods are simple and nice. Love the space and interior, especially their high ceiling. Good ambience, airy and the space not confined. They decorated the place with plants, pastel tone fittings, which made it soothing and comfortable as you step into their store.
The Nasi Lemak rice bowl was very good, was beyond my expectation. As you can see, this is not your typical, basic Nasi Lemak. The one here came with more ingredients and variety. Their sambal was a fusion between nasi lemak sambal and satay peanut sauce?? That was what it tasted like to me. It certainly was unique and I loved it. Their Signature Chicken consisted of chicken meatballs dipped in sweet sauce with sesame sprinkle. Ooooo yummy!
The Yong Tao Foo fish paste was very nice and fresh!
店里的装潢简单,价格亲民,十块钱以下也可以享有一顿异国料理。天气凉的时候更是让我有冲动想要来这里吃一碗热腾腾乌冬,尝一口简单的幸福滋味。
Their Loh Mai Kai however was very good. Came with minimal oil and taste wise, it was excellent. 9/10 shall be my rating for this.
Aspired to nourish each person that comes through their doors with a variety of home cooked Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine, emphasizing on the freshness and original taste of natural ingredients. A restaurant which would encapsulate you the feeling of home, family comfort and heartfelt simplicity in every dish.
新年火锅套餐 1:“鸡”唱吉祥到 CNY STEAMBOAT Package 1 Price: 6 pax = RM388 10 pax = RM688
I love it that alcohols are available and this is apparent as soon as we enter when greeted by the bar facing the dinning floor. Overall, Secret Garden isn’t Earth-shattering but there’s great potential for this eatery to be really popular.
I'd say good combinations, although a little salty as expected but tasty, appetizing, and satisfying meal.
Food today: 7 / 10 👍👍😋😋
This is the 8th visit to Milligram since October 27, and some days like today, the Café is almost empty before 12pm and then empty again after 2pm.
Overall the food is still up to expectation and the price is still reasonable (market rate in PJ). Consistency is of the freshness and taste of their food is the key of the popularity of Lala Chong Kayu Ara Seafood Restaurant.
The Kam Heong crabs were super huge and super-satisfying. We ordered two crabs (RM88/kg) to feed five. The kam heong sauce was fragrant - we detected the addition of bunga kantan, which really elevated the dish.
There is also a satay stall here at Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant. Satay is tasty and juicy, worth to order as side dish while eating your dinner here.
I like the Hakka noodles, nice texture and slightly stronger taste. Wanton Noodle is nice too, and the glazed BBQ pork is pretty good. Nothing is cheap nowadays.
Toast & Roast, as the name proclaimed the “the Real CharSiew” . . . well, totally agreed and hands down their “char siew” is impeccable delicious, literally melt in your mouth.
TnR by Sean & Angie serves one of the best char siew in PJ. They are always nicely charred with lovely caramelisation.
Overall, the food is good at Pantai Seafood Restaurant Kampung Sg Kayu Ara. Surprisingly, the food prices here are still within our budget. They have premium live seafood and they have affordable ones so do order based on your budget. To be honest, we don’t mind coming back again.
First dish – the Nyonya Fish. This was my favorite dish of the night. The fish itself was Tilapia, which was a perfect choice if you want something cheaper yet meaty and delicious. The Nyonya gravy to me was the star of the dish. It was flavorful, a little spicy and a little sweet and having it with the rice was da bomb.
Pantai Seafood Restaurant is full service casual dining restaurant with guests profile comprising mainly of families, group gatherings and office workers, many of who are regulars.
