NASI LEMAK PANAS ‘YATIE’ At JALAN 223 PETALING JAYA. Hands up if you are often hungry in the wee hours of the morning and have no idea where to go. Supper time for me in PJ has to be my favourite NASI LEMAK PANAS 223 from Gerai Yatie! NASI LEMAK PANAS YATIE is one of the go-to places when one is cr…
I loved Yatie's Nasi Lemak simply for its Sambal Pedas that packs a punch with a smoky sotong flavours. What's best is that you get to choose your favourite part of the crispy fried chicken and I always opt for the meatier part of the breast meat or ribs portion.

整体来说,环境和气氛是很棒的,食物稍微贵一些,味道是不错,大部分都是好吃和满意的,如果跟喜欢的人或闺密来用餐,一定很享受吧.
There’s always room for dessert no matter how stuffed you are – and we obliged to an Earl Grey Mousse with Vanilla Ice Cream and Crumble. 10 points for presentation – it looked like something out of a fine dining establishment. The mousse was exquisite, and I liked how they served it with a ball of white chocolate and boba pearls; an excellent combination.
Yes, here is the main food and wine with music. Like music and red wine, maybe this place will be for you.
♥Verdict: I can’t say this was a memorable lunch considering the food was very much a hits and misses affair. But that day’s gathering was all about the precious family bonding time.
♥Verdict: Not a restaurant that we can afford to visit regularly but food wise, you can assure that the quality and service justify the price paid.

All in all, a lunch set that’s value for money and delicious, highly recommended.
Lamb, lobster, dry-aged chicken. These are some of the tempting choices you'd find Joon Dining's Set Lunch...minus the princely sum. The restaurant’s 3 course Set Lunch at RM48++ per person and 4 course for RM60++ per person is a good deal these days.
Overall, we really enjoyed the food here at Joon – with the Izumidai, pasta, and scallops being our favourite dishes, in that order.
Specialising in Asian fusion cuisine, some of the top dishes served here are the Foie Gras Heaven (sushi topped with foie gras) and the Deep Sea Konbu Pasta (Pasta-Italian, Konbu Japanese).
Overall, Nippori Bistro serve great food and the environment is comfortable.
There are so many interesting dishes to try at Miyako Land – which is why I think the place warrants another visit soon! Prices are on the steep side for the portions, but service is good, and the food is excellent. Come check out the place and its Okinawan cuisine if you’re ever in PJ!

[Pork-free] Kuro Coffee in PJ was highly recommended by a friend for its excellent coffee, and it did not disappoint.
This was delicious 😍😍. If you are a fan of Kam Heong, then you’d love this dish. This came with two options: Lala or Seafood, I opted for the latter. No regrets as it was very good. Keep in mind that this is a sharing plate, way too much to be eaten alone. Thank god I brought my friend along, we ‘hantam’ nicely. You’d get lots of squids and medium sized prawns. This dish is served by itself, minus the rice. I strongly suggest adding on a serving of rice at a cost of RM 3 because that is the best way to eat Kam Heong lah…with rice. Burp!!
The Crispy Chicken Burger was yummy. It consisted of buns + a piece of juicy, crispy and tender boneless chicken + a slice of chicken ham + sesame mayo + cheese, with a side of fries and salad. Both of us enjoyed this dish too. No complains, it was finger lickin’ good.

That was a good lunch, our ramen craving appeased, we left happy!
Unlike its counterparts, Bari-Uma has an affordable menu but persistently serving authentic and addictive ramen.
There are several lunch set options, but the star of the show is the Bari-Uma: Ramen in pork flavoured shoyu soup with thick-cut flamed chashu. The set (RM29.90) comes with edamame, two pieces of pan-fried chicken gyoza and green tea. The soup is made from herbs, pork bones, chicken feet, high quality soy sauce and other ingredients, boiled for over 10 hours to extract maximum flavour. The result is a super rich, creamy and thick broth, which diners will slurp to the last drop. The ramen is fresh and springy as well, with just the right amount of al dente bite, and the thick cut chasu had a smokey, slightly charred taste, with a good balance between the lean and fat.
What do We Like about Choon Prawn Mee House? -The prawn mee broth which was rich, and full of prawns’ flavour
The traditional Prawn Mee was very nice, I think prawn-based soup was a little bit on the sweet side and not as spicy as I'd imagine it to be, which fits my taste buds. Nice!
我喜欢Nyonya咖喱鱼丸,因为咖喱包装了一个冲击力。也就是说,这并没有向我招呼“槟城”小贩,所以只把它当作一种(美味的)小吃。
As for the 240g chicken patty, it was made with 70% chicken breast and 30% chicken thigh, the patty was juicy. The avocado pesto salsa was refreshing and fragrant to go with the chicken patty, good combination it was.
The vibes here are quite interesting but a bit expensive, eg. Paleo Beef Burger (RM 26.90) where the portion is quite big.
Would I head here again? Hmmmm, if I want a cheerful place to hang out at , that is noisy and full of laughter and people talking and all, then yea, I would head here. For the food specifically , not so much. Like I said in the intro, first for its boisterous environment and then for the food.
What do We Like about Shokudo Curry House? -The Japanese curry satisfied our craving -The special black curry, though it can be spicier
So came across this neighbourhood local grown brand Shokudo Japanese Curry Rice that serves up a decent array of deep fried pork meat with its homemade Japanese curry.
Our friend enjoyed her Tori Tsukune Curry Udon (chicken meatballs with curry udon). The meatballs have a similar texture to Ikea’s meatballs while the curry is less thicker than ours and slightly citrus-y – which definitely work better as a soupy udon dish. This place has been here for many years, and now we know why. Probably one of the better Japanese curry rice in PJ.
There are several famous Roasted Duck destination in PJ, and one of them is PJ Seksyen 20's "龍鳳燒鴨 Restoran Loong Foong".
Crispy battered chicken with sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Appetising sauce but this portion is too much so half this dish is taken home by one of us as we couldn't finish it. Price is MYR 58.30 nett
Dinner for 2 costs RM51 with 4 dishes, 2 rice and 2 drinks. Food was ok but the service is not really good. When we wanted to get our bill, no one actually came to us despite us telling the workers that we need a bill. It took 15 minutes for the bill to came that piss me off and to get our change, it's even longer! There it goes, off my dinner list. Should considering take away roasted duck instead if dining there.
Our favourite goes to Nasi Ulam. Mixed chilled rice with crunchy local herbs, served with roasted beef or roasted chicken accompanied with coconut milk, spicy gravy, sambal kelapa, sambal chili, fish cracker, salted egg and ginger pickles. Best to have a bit of everything and tuck in in one spoonful.
Top on the list of Genji’s Winter Specials and Signature Dishes menu is the air-flown Wagyu beef. With its rich tender buttery melt-in-mouth texture, thanks to the heavy marbling, wagyu is best savoured grilled lightly or dipped into shabu-shabu. Swirling the wagyu for just a few seconds in a bubbling umami broth is the best way to enjoy the beef. We definitely didn’t stop at one slice! The Shabu-shabu wagyu (marble 10) is at RM380
Every Saturday and Sunday, Paya Serai in Hilton Petaling Jaya presents their ever popular Weekend Hi-Tea Buffet featuring over 40 delectable teatime delights. The buffet, which runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, will rotate between three different menus and will showcase International as well as authentic Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine The Weekend High Tea at Paya Serai is priced at RM122 nett per adult and RM66 nett per child
This is another dish that I would have gone for. The salmon was perfectly executed and was just so darn good.
A’Roma Dinings is our favourite place for authentic, handmade pasta dishes.Think authentic, al-dente pasta lusciously coated with sauce. A food review.
Prosciutto Burrata E Carpione 👍 The highlight of this Hors d'oeuvre has definitely got to be the Burrata cheese. For those of you not in the know, Burrata looks like Mozzarella. They have the same appearance and texture, but that is where the similarity stops. Burrata is actually something like a cheesy pouch of Mozzarella stuffed with fresh cream and soft stringy curd. It is always served fresh and doesn't keep for very long, lasting no more than a day or two at the most. With its rich milky buttery taste, it goes very well with bread, so I was pleasantly surprised it made its way here with the Prosciutto.
