There are several famous Roasted Duck destination in PJ, and one of them is PJ Seksyen 20's "龍鳳燒鴨 Restoran Loong Foong".
Crispy battered chicken with sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Appetising sauce but this portion is too much so half this dish is taken home by one of us as we couldn't finish it. Price is MYR 58.30 nett
Dinner for 2 costs RM51 with 4 dishes, 2 rice and 2 drinks. Food was ok but the service is not really good. When we wanted to get our bill, no one actually came to us despite us telling the workers that we need a bill. It took 15 minutes for the bill to came that piss me off and to get our change, it's even longer! There it goes, off my dinner list. Should considering take away roasted duck instead if dining there.
This is one of my favourite Duck Rice place that I would recommend. Do reach no latest by 7.30pm to avoid any dissapointment as I do know their duck sell off pretty fast.
The amazing thing is the fact that each and every slice of duck meat is seamlessly tender and delicate while the gravy adds a whole new dimension of flavor and earthiness to it, making each mouthful of roast duck so yummy!! The duck gravy and homemade chili adds a whole new dimension of flavor and earthiness to it!
After two not-so-convincing meals at Loong Foong I think I will just stick to having only the roast duck here. In both occasions it was the only dish we found good enough to justify a revisit.
The Roast Duck was golden brown and had a super crispy skin. The duck is very flavourful where it is nice and juicy. The texture of the meat was perfect and easy to chew. Taste: 5/5 Price: RM 24 (1/2 chicken)
Atmosphere: 5/10 Food: 7.5/10 Price: 6/10 Verdict: It definitely lives up to it's billing as one of the top roast duck in the town!
Despite the small shortcoming, the roast duck lives up to its name. This place is not to be missed if you do eat duck at all. The dinner costs about RM 14 for pretty a good portion of duck. I would definately go there again.
