Alkaff Mansion, top restaurant in Singapore, great food, in a great location, with great staff you really can’t go wrong - Beefsteak & Burgundy!
17 reviews of Alkaff Mansion Ristorante "I would do 3.5, but it's closer to a 4 than a 3. average-ly italiano at this quite gorgeous venue hidden up in telok blangah. it's a surprising location, until you realize it's situated in a quite…
Woo.. hoo.. awesome Spanish fare at UNA @ Alkaff Mansion - the grande dame of fine dining in Singapore.
Have a taste of the vast rolling Basque Country right here at the lush Telok Blangah, at the transformed Alkaff Mansion.
Service was on the ball and the vibe is definitely there. We will be back for more.

Wildseed Café is an ideal place for a leisurely weekend brunch.
The Naked Finn folks have converted the original BurgerLabo location back to a small seafood place.
The hae mee here tasted really luxe. The soup was like a seafood bisque/consomme, but with seriously complex and layered flavours, including the seafood brininess and slight bitterness and creaminess of prawn headfat.
Recommended by Mr Seetoh of Makansunstra and with Mr Lesie Tay's writeup, it had already won my heart over for their Wantan Mee, not to mention even if their queue is long.
Thin, light, generic egg noodles but expertly done to a tender springy crunch to the bite.
Needless to say, I think this stall’s food is really so good! It is a die die must try.
If you are one that can't decide with choices, then you can go for the Pintxos Experience ($55++), in which the Basque Chefs will decide and prepare the different pintxos for you.
TXA Pintxo Bar is a one of its kind destination.
The place looked old school.
A lot more people would remember Dempsey Barracks (now known as Dempsey Hill ) better than Gillman Barracks ; for me, I totally forgot its...
Price is explained by the quality of the food and it makes sense to pamper ourselves once a while.
i really wanted to try the Blue cod fillet Burger too. They got me mayo and smashed avo.
I did not realise that they are selling Ban Mian too, perhaps I will be back again for their noodles if I get the chance.
Founded by a former Executive Sous Chef from the renowned Westin Hotel, this hawker stall elevates the art of noodle craftsmanship to new heights.
The noodles were nicely cooked, springy with bite, with a nice layering of savoury soy sauce, sesame oil and other flavourings. The fried fish was very nice, fresh, crispy outside and tender inside. The prawn was sweet and qq, and the fried dumplings shatteringly crisp with a small orb of meat inside.
We had a mixed version of carrot cake at other visits and found that this version suits us most as it has the best of both worlds, black and white. Each serving was placed on disposable plates and served with disposable utensils.
This was a long-standing stall, and the unoily black carrot cake was savoury sweet, soft, eggy and smoky with some crispy bits and a bit of caramelisation. The chai poh and garlic provide an additional layer of fragrance and bite as well.

In bustling Singapore, Fuel Plus+ cafe on Morse Road is a great option for those seeking a cosy cafe off the beaten path. Its interesting and diverse menu and its tranquil location at the foot of Mt Faber sets it apart from the many other good cafes in Singapore.
You definitely do not get to see this rare scene in the urban streets of Singapore.
Overall, food has been slightly above expectation and by looking at other tables orders, i'm kind of convinced that we have to make additional trip back to try other interesting bites, desserts as well as the Mains.
Canopy HortPark ia an all-day dining restaurant surrounded by lush greenery - for brunch, pastas, burgers as well as mains like Angus Ribeye
The food at Canopy HortPark is not particularly outstanding, with improvements needed in some dishes such as the Dry-Aged Beef Burger.
If you love dining in Singapore’s parks and gardens, or love being in lush green spaces, you will love the recently opened Canopy Garden Dining at HortPark. This is Canopy’s 2nd outlet …
Peony Jade Keppel Club, one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Singapore, reopens in Tanjong Pagar as Peony Jade Amara.

The lunch at Vineyard Restaurant in HortPark was a very pleasant affair. Other than the costs of the desserts, the prices were very reasonable. The food was good – quality French-Italian food that was enjoyable.
Beside the gorgeous interior, Vineyard At HortPark offers delicious food.
Nice latte with character – some woodiness and acidity. The aglio olio was average, really spicy, with what seem like mini fried chicken nuggets, and thick and really al dente spaghetti.
Tucked away in Telok Blangah at Depot Heights Shopping Centre, Bailey & Whiskey is the perfect place to relax with coffee! Read more.
Here's the bossam lunch set from Ju Shin Jung. Even though it was only a half portion, it was rather filling; I had trouble finishing it all and I had been on an empty stomach since last night. These guys have some pretty decent lunch deals, especially since they are very generous with their banchan too.
Jiakpalang Eating House is an up-and-coming casual restaurant along Alexandra Road that offers local Zi Char dishes with a twist.
Overall, I think that Jiakpalang is promising, but it needs some fine tuning here and there, especially in terms of its identity and the naming of some of the dishes.
What else can I say apart from visit and be wowed? Chef tasting menus are available by the counter and I am dying for a return!
It’s a perfect place to catch up with old pals and relax after a long day.
Blue Lotus Mediterranean Kitchen + Bar is the latest brainchild of Chef Helios Goncalves from Boca (we could've guessed from his signatures that seem all too familiar!). Unlike the other Blue Lotus outlets, this focuses more on Mediterranean cuisine.
Blue Lotus Mediterranean Kitchen + Bar was exceeded above my expectation. NAHMJ highly recommend to all.
Overall, I felt that the standard of food is nothing to shout at. For Western food, there are a lot of better ones out there and as a coleslaw lover, the Coleslaw taste here do not have the oomph that I'm looking for.
The Original Botak Jones is back and better than ever! Find them at 118 Depot Lane, and expect the juiciest beef burgers and cajun chicken!
Himawari Japanese Restaurant at Alexandra Road is a crowded place at lunchtime on weekdays. Office workers from the surrounding areas come for the affordable set lunch deals.
