A specialty for good reason, the Deep Fried Pork Belly with Fermented Beancurd ($16 for small) was superb: it was flavourful, crispy and luscious.
Overall, it was a sumptuous CNY meal from TFK.
Chong Pang Nasi Lemak should be a well-known nasi lemak in Yishun, especially for those deployed to Chong Pang camp.
It's a dilemma for me; to finish the chilli, i need rice but i am not going to have so much rice so late at night! p.s. the coconut milk rice was quite good but to me, my favourite is still Star Hup Lee Nasi Lemak in Yishun!
I like the kampung ambiance at Chong Pang nasi lemak.
And best of all, dessert lovers no longer need to feel guilty about indulging. Not with Bob The Baker Boy’s healthier offerings to the rescue!
grab yourselves some molten lava cookies; we promise you won’t regret it.
Monti’s Patio is a new dog-friendly pop-up at One Fullerton which is a great place to enjoy Italian fare and drinks with your friends and dogs.
The food from all four stalls at The Patio come in huge portions at very fair prices.
Seoul Kitchen is the other Korean BBQ joint on Sembawang Road which are opposite of each other. I tried the other one before and now it was time for this one.
A good place for group gatherings, Seoul Chicken definitely has the vibe of a friendly Korean restaurant for the after-work chill and is probably one of the better options amongst only a small handful of Korean restaurants in the north of the island for now.
So putting it together with Saizeriya's Chef Salad and a carafe of wine meant gave me a complete meal on an easy budget.
I was pleasantly surprised by their ability to execute both the items we ordered so well, especially since they have such an extensive menu.
Overall, we enjoyed our desserts at this happy cafe and look forward to being back for more ice-cream and or their accompanying pastries.
All of us enjoyed ourselves at Jew Kit. Even though I didn't really like the chicken as it had no chicky taste, all the other dishes were delicious.
Tried out Kei Kaisendon at Sembawang Shopping Center with a Burpple deal (some decent deals there). They have many branches throughout Singapore The Signature dish, full of sashimi and seafood.
We would go back for the Otah Sundae, but that’s only if we’re in the area.
This is pure comfort food at affordable prices in a cosy ambience with friendly service. Do support this Singapore brand if you happen to be in the vicinity, even though there is a famous Chong Pang Nasi Lemak just nearby but this one is worth a try too.
Even if you’re not a big fan of Peranakan fare, it’s still worth coming here for their crabs which are very reasonably priced. Comfy and clean dining environment. Friendly service staff. What are you waiting for?
Besides a range of north Indian dishes, the diner also has tipples on offer.
It didn't stop me from ordering the same pork lard rice with fried egg the next day too! I commented to Alex that should it be my last day alive, this unassuming pork lard rice would be amongst the dishes I would love to eat before I die.
Though such an item is special, if you were to ask me if I will purposely make a special trip down again for it, I would most answer probably not as the queue had somehow horrified me.
Steamed Whole White Eel with Black Garlic Sauce is so soft, tender and the black garlic sauce is so flavoursome that some of my dining partners are literally licking the plate clean.
For the longest time ever, I remember that the only hawker food sold at Guan Heng Cooked Food is the Singapore style carrot cake but that’s ...
Having to endure a craving can be such a frustrating chore! My simple mind was hankering for a bowl of dry prawn noodle one Thursday afterno...
Back again. Really tasty and well made foe coffeeshop dim sum.
Really nice deep fried taro dumpling, shatteringly crispy and crackling outside, yammy and soft inside with a nicely marinated fried shrimp, mushroom and chicken meat filling. Everything else looks nice too – worth a try again for their other offerings.
In a nutshell, there were some misses but the prices shall be the main motivation factor as I only paid about S$42, plus the fact I am literally just minutes' away from home. I would know what to avoid in my next visit; definitely no har gow. And the twin brothers should consider improving their ordering system!
Nonetheless, in this neighbourhood, Heng Hua Restaurant still deserves a talk as their menu is rather extensive with a good list of Authentic Heng Hua dishes we can hardly find here.
The eatery gets pretty packed during the weekends and we highly recommend calling in for reservations. Nevertheless, service here is very efficient so you will never have to wait that long for a table.
Nasi Padang is like the Malay equivalence for the Chinese mixed vegetables rice and nasi ambeng, with origins from Indonesia, is similar but...
Food at Coba Coba is halal-certified Indonesian cuisine, focused on Nasi Padang or Nasi Ambeng. With a selection of over 15 dishes that change daily, there's sufficient reason for repeat visits.
Prices are comparable to other such stalls, budget about SGD $11 per person for a meal here.
The pork belly were tender and soft. I enjoyed dipping them into the homemade chilli which added a refreshing tangy twist to the items.
Even as I was busy slurping away, there were a good number of people who came to ask if they were sold out. Seems like you really have to get up early to secure yourself a bowl of their famous kway chap.
Takagi Ramen started operations back in year 2015 and back then, initial interest was more on its founders who were jailed for sedition due...
