Whatever the case, it was still a satisfying bowl and I couldn't wait to try out the don! One caught my attention; their signature braised pork don!
Thankfully, i stay pretty near which means if i visit on a lull weekday like Wednesday, the wait would be less than 15 minutes.
In terms of taste, i would very much prefer the Poached Chinese Spinach Soup with Egg Trio and Wolfberries from Hualong Fishhead Steamboat & Tze Char but the price difference (S$9.00 versus S$3.80) and the convenience of being closer to Chong Pang hawker centre means i would still go for this stall whenever the craving hits.
Duck Rice - this was significantly better than the char siew! The meat was juicy and succulent but the deal maker was the sauce (which usually has the miracle to make / break a plate of duck rice). It wasn't cloying and goes well with the roast duck and plain rice.
