Bring your friends and family to Mellben Signature for a stellar seafood feast that you won’t soon forget!
There was sweet and sour pork with longan on ice though.
The couple, Steve and Julie, has been offering Banh Mi since 2015 at Tanjong Pagar. Banh Mi baguettes are handmade and baked fresh everyday. Friendly and alw...
If there’s any place that banh mi lovers have to pay a visit to in Singapore, it’s Bami Express down at Tanjong Pagar Plaza, which attracts the most monstrous of queues on a daily basis.
Their banh mi price starts from S$4.00 onwards, which i thought it is quite an affordable pricing for a meal.
Tori karaage was passable.
IKKOUSHA makes the most wholesome tonkotsu ramen, a favorite for traditional ramen lovers and those who avoid overly rich food. You'll enjoy its refreshing taste. Try it and revel in Ikkousha's greatness"
I would encourage you to try the Savoury range, which offers a refreshing Lime Mirin Tarragon, and a rather rare Truffle Ice Cream.
Scallop rolls were okay.
They offered a variety of seafood rolls filled with shellfish like razor clams and crab, and in a variety of styles like chili crab and mentaiko.
For the flavourful grains alone, I’d come back again for sure.
What I enjoyed was the fluffy rice mixture, with just the right amount of seasoning that didn’t tip on being salty, and there was just that whiff of truffle oil without being overpowering.
Considering its location at Tanjong Pagar Plaza, Chirashi King Kong is probably a hidden gem for the office workers of the Central Business District to get their Bara Chirashu fix at pocket-friendly prices.
Was this the best briyani I’ve ever had? Nope. But it served its purpose and left me feeling satiated for the entire day.
I like Ali Nachia Briyani Dam mainly for the rich gamey tender mutton and the feathery light fluffy rice.
The most creative item here, however, is the modified ang ku kueh.
Tanjong Pagar Food Center welcomes Kueh Ho Jiak to their tenant list and having been around since 1930.
Ang Ku Kueh is a small oval-shaped Chinese pastry that has chewy and sticky glutinous rice flour skin wrapped around a sweet filling that fills the centre of the pastry.
All in all, this is a pretty chill place to catch a breather at when you’re overwhelmed with work.
Equate Coffee is definitely a great addition to the speciality coffee scene in Singapore.
It was unfortunately disappointing.
I'm not going back, as the broth was so watered down and uninspiring that I didn't want to finish it.
If you’re alone and in the area looking to have a peaceful lunch, you can consider dropping by Gangsta Ramen!
Even though Gangsta Ramen is not the best ramen I’ve ever had, the opportunity to dine in pure isolation is amazing.
this is hakka ytf had a few fried items…quite ordinary to me no better than ikan bilis ytf at chinatown and the similar one tiong bahru ytf at eng hoon street.
Good yong tau foo promises fresh ingredients, well-cooked noodles, great sauces and a lovely soup. Rong Xing Yong Tau Fu has definitely done well in all aspects.
The gravy, or lor, is not too starchy nor too watery. Taste wise, it is not as robust as I would like it to be. In fact, it taste quite light to me.
I am a big fan of those big chunks of fried shark fish nuggets even though it was not freshly fried but it was particularly tasty when soaked it with the braising sauce. Nonetheless, that simple taste has always been my comfort food.
Honestly, I only like their rice and succulent fried chicken wing along with the sambal chili. As for the otah and sotong fillet, I would suggest skipping them for something else.
For the health conscious, a bowl of Hakka lei cha rice is always a good idea. Some hate it while others love lei-cha for its health benefits.
In my opinion, I find their fried kway teow commendable and worth a try. I only wish the wok hei can be stronger, and give me more juicy see-hum please. Oh, and the chu yau char (crispy pork lard) too.
I did feel that their rice had enough aroma and salt that I didn't even need the sambal though.
I would recommend catching them early as they open at 6 am, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a queue then! The stall will close once they are sold out.
A place that would be worth going for to get the fish & chips craving fixed, and a good option to dine at if around the area.
As for the price, it was very reasonable with the portion given. I’ll definitely be coming back for a second visit, just at a less crowded timing.
