Next time I should try to sidestep those wagyu prices by going for the spatchcock instead.
Overall, it was definitely a memorable experience.
Save to say, Fat Belly gets my votes for the value for money steakhouse in Singapore.
I reckon it’s worth a visit if you live nearby or want to avoid the crowds at popular, central areas!
The rendang was fragrant, rich and layered. The wagyu beef was a bit tough and fibrous, but not bad. The blue pea rice was also interesting, with a slight fragrance, and paired well with the rendang sauce.
I was blown away by Elixir Boutique Roasters’ Brûlée French Toast and can’t wait to be back for more of it.
Very crowded. Very European style fragrant artisanal sourdough bread. Quite nice coffee, but the bread was probably not to my liking, for soft pillowy breads.
That’s enough reason for us to recommend you to make your way down for a casual afternoon hangout or a quick bite before work.
Coffee beans are currently sourced from Common Man Coffee Roasters
The drip coffee uses Colombian beans and is smooth and not at all bitter. Fantastic.
With each loaf beautifully handcrafted with love, this is the place you should add to your list for good quality toasts and coffee.
The sourdough is extremely HARD but the toppings on top is delicious!!! The Hummus Za'atar EVOO toast is so good.
I went to Orh Gao tonight and grabbed a plate of their gado-gado while I was there. It came in just the right portion and was seasoned nicely, making it fun to eat with a glass of suds. But I should avoid the kacang panjang next time given all of the minced garlic in there.

More importantly, they have food that's not only done with care (i.e., this isn't your typical nasty bar food) but also with playful twists on local food.
All in all, there is something for everyone at Sugarhaus + Fat Belly, if you looking for coffee, classic brunch dishes, a little bit more experimental desserts or steaks, they have it.
Priced reasonably, with good desserts to cap the night, Sugarhaus + Fat Belly is a perfect combination to cap a lazy night.
Han Bing Cafe is a homely and cosy cafe with friendly owner/manager and staff. The bingsu is great and we would visit it again to try bingsu in different interesting flavours.
The standard of food is still pretty good as compared to the last visit. Do visit if you are looking for some simple and affordable authentic French Food.
It's probably never too late to realise this hidden gem and without a doubt, I am loving their french classics.
Botanico and Bee's Knees have definitely taken modern SEA cooking to the next level and I found myself surprised at every bite.
Beyond the inventive cafe dishes on the menu, another reason to visit Bee’s Knees is the atmosphere.
I like that the truffle carbonara has arugula leaves on it so that the bitterness can undercut the heaviness.
At my age, I have attended quite a number of Chinese weddings which typically feature round tables that can sit ten persons at a hotel ballr...
Her creations now reflect a greater nuance and finesse with a new focus on South East Asian flavours.
I thought it was a pity that the food didn't quite work out.
Given a chance to be back again, I will very much like to order their main courses.
Open Farm Community New Dishes maybe created and filled with with local flavours, however, I feel that there isn’t any wow factor. Some fine tuning to the dishes may be required. Generally, I notice the vegetarian dishes were extremely well executed, so were the pasta.
A little pricey for the portions but it was delicious.
Crown Bakery & cafe is another great cafe along Bukit Timah Road. They have a really nice blue interior with black and white checkered floors and lamps resembling their crown logo.
Quality of food and service still remain pleasant since my first visit many years back with friends.
My favorite of the lot, was the Japanese Sweet Potato Mini Loaf. When its stated as mini, it really was!
Seriously concentrated, layered and good stuff, this affogato.
Affogato Bar is a tiny cafe in Cluny Court, the small shopping arcade across the Botanic Garden MRT station.

Bakery Brera review - neighbourhood bakery near d’Leedon and St Ignatius Church next to Empress Market Farrer Road.
Overall, most of the items from Brera Bakery hit the right notes with me especially the croissants and I would definitely buy from them again to enjoy some of the perfect bakes they developed.

so 2pax dinner very good standard dishes for S$53 nett. boleh la!
They also provide corporate catering menus like buffets, seminars and meetings, daily packed meals and cafeteria food services.
ambience was great. relax and food was great.
Each dish looks small but we were quite full by the time the kaya toast dessert was served.
The CORNER HOUSE is a two-storey Black and White bungalow built in 1910.
Overall, Corner House deserves its Michelin Star and recognition.
Atlas Coffeehouse has a vibe that I quite like and the food is good and decently priced.
Making Atlas Coffeehouse my cafe regular spot in Bukit Timah. You should too.
Overall, the vibes at this cafe scream “hipster with a touch of comfortable charm”. While the exterior of the cafe is plain and fairly nondescript, once you step into this fully air-conditioned cafe, you will be transported to a softly-lit, artfully-minimalistic universe filled with subdued colours and a buzzing atmosphere. Perfect for a weekend brunch.
Restaurant Atout review of French restaurant at Dempsey Hill Singapore with pictures of dinner and menu with prices, oysters, steak, soufflé
Atout makes one of the best souffles around, and the towering Dark Chocolate Souffle ($24) with vanilla chantilly reached dizzying heights of wonder.
After all the foreplay, this was what we really came for - their rack of lamb.
Nice hae bi hiam and prawn flavours and umami. Pasta well cooked and al dente. I’ve missed this place.
Relish by Wild Rocket at Cluny Court in Bukit Timah is one of our favourite places to eat around that area.
Relish @ Cluny Court is a pleasant, laid back place away from the usual busy places in Singapore.
These lamb chops were from the regular menu. Simple and nicely done.
With something called a chalet soup which involved pasta, beans, some vegetables, Gruyère, cream and saucisson vaudois. Delicious cheesy soup which wasn't too rich.
This was shortly before the prohibition of dining in for restaurants as part of the local government's "circuit breaker" .
