The cabinet food is still there if you just want a really quick and light bight, but what you really ought to do is to order from the menu.
Almost every element of the dishes is made from scratch and using wild fermentation techniques that span from days to months.
Another dessert that you should really try was their Tiramisu ($9). The alcohol taste in this tiramisu wasn't strong and they added those little chocolate crunch balls for extra texture.
The tanginess and tartness of the yuzu combined the mild sweetness of the yogurt make for a refreshing palate cleanser. It’s perfect in-between dishes or just as a way to wrap up a good meal with your pals!
I like the Iced Honey Yucha Soda ($5.80) at Kogane Yama which is packed with heaps of antioxidants and is also great to combat the heat.
With hearty, delicious Japanese bowls, that deliver on both quality and affordability with a wide variety of options to choose from, this homegrown restaurant brand is bound to be a hit among diners.
Overall, some of the starters tasted fine especially the satay if you do not mind the price. The service was acceptable but a little slow. The desserts were mediocre but as we did not order any seafood which is their speciality, I would not mind coming back to try eating a full meal as I remember the last time I ate at their Commonwealth shop, the food was nice. Therefore, I will not conclude my review
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Food at New Ubin Seafood is an eclectic mix of Singaporean and International cuisine, including Chinese, Indian, American, and Japanese.
Overall recommended for a short break from anything else.
The glasshouse cafe is located inside chijmes. Like their name suggests, they are in a glasshouse structure with the interior in scandinavian style.
Visitors to the historic CHIJMES would have noticed a new addition in the vicinity - a compact glass container tucked away from the array of restaurants and bars. The Glasshouse - not to be confused with the Fish and Co. outlet which closed last year - prides itself on serving specialty coffee and...
Renga-Ya at CHIJMES serves good quality wagyu beef at reasonable prices. Its menu also offers a fair variety of dishes besides beef. It is a nice downtown spot for solo dining, an intimate meal for two or group gathering.
This is the second time I tried them and they are even better than the first time.
Their sliced gyutan was from Australian wagyu. Delicious stuff.
I wouldn’t mind eating here again.
Una Una @ Bugis+ delivers on its promise.
El Mero Mero is making me want to visit Mexico so badly! Well for now, at least there's some good Mexican food to tide me over till i visit.
I enjoyed most of the dishes and definitely looking forward to visit them again.
If you are looking for something more exotic for your next date or group meal, this is worthy of a try.
Overall, the meal was not overly expensive with the amount of sashimi we ordered and in comparison, they do better in sashimi than their sushi. In terms of sitting comfort, I will vote for Sushiro who has more spacious chairs and a space for putting personal belongings. While Sushi Plus sashimi is better, Sushiro still wins in terms of overall variety, comfort and taste
The Sakura Ebi Hotate Nori sushi is a heavenly creation, with sushi rice topped with seared juicy scallop sashimi and tiny dried shrimp called sakura ebi. The sakura ebi are so crunchy and flavorful, while the scallops are tender and sweet. The crispy and salty nori seaweed just adds an extra layer of deliciousness to the whole thing.
During my visit, I observed a regular stream of customers coming into Sushi Plus for a quick meal.
Overall, I really like the fish of Big Fish Small Fish as they have pretty good quality and was cooked well with a crispy and thin batter. This single fact was enough for me to ignore the mediocrity of the sides and on top of this, the price is also considered quite affordable at SGD 18.90
The pilaf was spiced and punctuated with sweetness from the raisins but the rice was dry and lumpy and would have benefitted with a bit more of salt.
Big Fish Small Fish is a fish & chips shop for a decent fish meal at affordable price - in Punggol, Northpoint, Tampines, JCube & Bugis.
Dough CHIJMES Review Singapore 2021 New Cafe by Glyph Supply with pictures of menu, bakery, pastries, cafe interior ...
The espresso shot was nutty and had a nice bitter aftertaste to it, and we would definitely pick up another cup if we were in the vicinity.
I really liked the bakery concept and hopefully it fares well execution-wise once COVID restrictions are not as stringent. One thing’s for sure, I’m definitely sitting outside the next time I come!
One of the Recommended Ramen Places in town if you are craving for one.
Ikkousha is a relative newcomer in its native Kyushu, seeing as its founding date was during the Heisei era.
2 reviews of Ikkousha - Ramen Champion "This is a review of a solo lunch at Ikkousha at Ramen Champion - Bugis+. http://tinyurl.com/lrnzbgk This is the second of three of the ramen stalls I've visited at Ramen Champion. After the end of the…
They also had an affordable pan fried sea bass.
Josh’s Grill has got game when it comes to their char-grilled meats.
I like going to Bugis Junction due to its convenient location and numerous shops, but unfortunately it’s never been a place I associate with good and affordable food.
Ambience at Bulgogi Syo channels their concept, being spacious, open, and with a modern elegance. The dark shades are interspersed with bright warm lighting, and the sturdy furnishings and comfortable booth seats are decent. The open kitchen offers a view of the action, particularly when staff break out the massive fire blasters. Dancing flames on the LED screens around the pillars complete the vibe.
Overall, I like the concept of Bulgogi Syo. The food is good, tasty and the spiciness level is kids friendly. I recommend their LA Galbi, Cheesy Tteokbokki with Kimari, Seafood Sundubu and not forgetting the super yummy seaweed rice. Definitely a good place to dine with your friends and family. Geonbae!! Cheers!!
Yup, still don’t understand it and it will still be quite low on the priority list for me. Can’t say it was anything special at all, especially at that price. It tasted like a normal bowl of noodles for me at a high price.
We liked what we ate that night. The ingredients were fresh and clean.
Overall, I think Omurice Keisuke's "can-eat-until-full-full" and great value-for-money yummy omurice will appeal to the crowd at Bugis+. Worth a visit.
I would recommend the Teriyaki Chicken Hamburg ($3.00) because some meat would help balance out the meal.
Service at Don Meijin is completely self-service, with ordering, collection, and payment over the counter.
Blessed with a chill-out ambience, polite staff and a somewhat efficient service despite the long queues, Don Meijin is a good respite from the run-off-the-mill Japanese chain restaurants.
All rice bowls are served with a bed of Hokkaido’s short grain Japanese rice and boasts a consistent al dente quality. Can't go wrong with Japanese rice for me.
This is another cafe that I wanted to try out! It is awfully similar to Hoshino Coffee in terms of their menu. Both serve french and Japanese food. I actually wanted to try their Lobster Bisque Pasta. :x This seems like the common denominator in all of the French Japanese restaurants at least in Singapore.
Belle-ville, originating from Osaka, Japan, enjoys immense popularity typical of Japanese cuisine worldwide
I would say yes because they are darn delicious.
The bread was soft and limp, lacking the crunch and rigidity to support all of the ingredients on top. Plus, it needed a bit more salt, and the service was just horrible today. I don't go to Privé very often, but my impression just keeps getting worse.
I couldn't quite discern the cheese in this, but the Crispy Parmesan Wings ($12) was commendable, and didn't require copious bobs into the garlic-parsley-dill parmesan dip.
Poulet x Chef Justin Quek is certainly the best opportunity for us to experience true blue Classic French food.
