We liked its soup bak kut teh, the soup was flavourful yet not overwhelmed in taste
顺成 Soon Seng not only serves Bak Kut Teh but also chinese dishes.
Soft Shell Crab Salad (RM 18.90) The Soft-Shell Crab Salad is one of my favorites. The crispy soft-shell crab comes fresh and delicious and it is topped with the fresh vegetables with the Japanese Salad Dressing.
The Japanese restaurant offers quite a big list of recipe to choose from but prices are definitely on the high side.
Restoran Pin Chou is the place to look for these delicious glutinous rice balls. The stall originated from Port Klang and was already famous for a long time before we knew about it. Locals would come and queue even before the stall is open for business.
I love to eat loh shee fun and I prefer it all cover in black after mixing , but here they gave so little sauce you won't even able to taste the sauce after mixing it.
Huat Kee "Loh Shu Fun" - Worth returning? Definite Yes for me and for many Klang folks too (i would say). It is part of Klang heritage & good eat.
The price of rm$11/bowl comes with a small rice (add $ for large rice), only another item which is 油菜 "Yow Choi" is on the "wall menu", no 油条 chinese fritters or any other add-ons are available.
The restaurant offers Dim Sum for morning and lunch, and night times are usually for dining-in or Weddings.
Taste: 7/10(Moderate. Overall the food taste just above average. The first dish on the five dumpling is good. The dry steamed prawn is also good. Others is just normal. What really attracted me is the steamed prawn & the way it is cooked. It is cooked on the spot with just pouring a mixture into the pot. Which I wonder what it is).
Before coming here, I have heard plenty of good things about Jalan Batai’s Char Koay Teow in Klang. Despite my initial skepticism and high expectations, it still managed to blow me away. So you can imagine how delicious this char koay teow is. It was definitely worth the hour drive we made all the way from Kepong.
Uncle Eng's Char Kuey Teow tasted delicious and so full of Wok Hei, an important feature of how a good Char Kuey Teow should be. Fried in a cast iron wok with simple ingredients using flat rice noodles, both smooth yet chewy texture with prawns, cockles, bean sprouts, eggs and Chinese chives.
Environment : Warm/Open Air
Price : Expensive ( Total Bill RM 99.70 ) Services : Good Environment : Warm / Hot
Not the best toast (its kaya butter), half-boiled egg was just right (looks like a medium size egg) and a commendable hong kong style milk tea (I like), and what to complain when its rm$4.90!
One of the interesting Dim Sum is a localized dessert which is "Durian Tart" and "Durian Dun", nice!
Price : Average Services : Average Environment : Warm
Signature and must try cake here is the Ondeh-Ondeh Cake. Colourful green layered by fragrant gula Melaka and snowy white coconut flakes icing, this is a unique made in Malaysia cake. Green layer of cake depicts the ondeh ondeh and its soft and fluffy. Yummy indeed, especially to me who is a die-hard ondeh-ondeh lover. As mention earlier, this cake is made by a professional, a dentist! Therefore, to any enthusiastic baker out there, you can sell your cake through Veestronomy Cake without the hassle of opening your own cafe.
Every meal or dishes is served with generous amount and pack with flavor , delicious .. Ho CHiak !!
Love the Mee Hoon Kuih here, nice springy texture, tasty soup and really crunchy ikan bilis (maybe too salty).
It is a famous spot for a hearty bowl for local and those from out of town. Mee hoon kueh is rarely found in KL and sometime is available in pan mee shop if they have this mee hoon kueh variety.
A good outing for me and go for two bowls if you can stand the heat from the soup and eating without air-con.
Taste was general but a bit pricey at rm$7.50 for a bowl of noodle in a Medan Selera.
Regardless of what others say, I'd say Fatman Curry Mee here at Medan Selear Taman Eng Ann is very nice! Tender chicken with lots of Tau Fu Pok, taugeh, and a slice of boiled egg, curry is milky and flavoful for me, I like it.
Very unique herbs with gravy rather than soup based. The pork is really tender & juicy from the long hours of boiling & simmering.
I enjoyed scrapping bottom and scooping it up and mixing it with my rice. Delightful
During our last makan trip to Klang, a Klang native recommended us to try Kee Heong Bak Kut Teh in Taman Eng Ann. This is where she would bring her KL friends to enjoy this staple, mainly because of their great consistency in maintaining the food quality
Price wasn't too bad, as 6 items was less then rm$6.
我认为这可能是我们常规的地方之一,只要dimsum / yong tau foo渴望来电话。
Morning session is the Pork Noodle while evenings are Claypot Chicken Rice! Not sure if it is No. 1 but it is not bad.
I know this is the only claypot rice in Klang which successfully earn it name Restaurant Number One claypot rice mean top 1 in Klang area and their business has been running for years .
The dishes at Hua Wang Steamed Fish Head are reasonably good.
Last weekend, we visited Hua Wang in Klang with the family as we were in the area. The restaurant is famous for its steamed fish head as well as other home-style dishes. BabySumoKids have been here several times in the past with their grandparents.
