Brought to us by the team behind The Good Guys, SuperThai Restaurant is a hidden gem that serves rustic and humble Thai cuisine at pocket-friendly value. Despite its operation for a year, the restaurant remains low key, operating on the 1st floor, right above Capitol Nasi Dagang on the same row of shop lot as The Good Guys.
Verdict: Hits and misses, the food we had was mostly good and I definitely like their wallet-friendly price range which justifiable with the portion served.
For lunch, we went to Super Thai to eat this steamed Patin Fish (Silver Catfish) from Temerloh - MYR52 nett. The fish is fresh and the spicy lime "broth" is very appetising but we need to be careful of the bones.
We are back at SuperThai after eating here in October last year, nearly 3 months ago.
It was superb Thai food. Both of us loved it. Thanks to my Boyfriend for the recommendation. It's indeed good!! Everything is good from the service to the foods. Second Visit? Definitely, a big YES for me. Beside that, NO service charge and NO GST is a bonus point to the restaurant.
After reading PH's many posts about the delicious Pork Knuckle in Sweet and Sour Sauce at SuperThai Restaurant, I went there for lunch yesterday at about 12.15 noon only to be told that it is not available. The waitress was not very fluent in English so communication is a bit difficult. I asked if it is available for dinner and she answered yes because it takes a long time to prepare and cook it. So tough luck, we can't have it for lunch then. Guess next time I will have to call up to make sure that the pork knuckle is available before coming here for lunch. Oh well, since we were already there, we ordered other dishes instead of leaving.
Superthai not only goes down as a 'must visit'.....but also a 'must revisit' place in my books. Why? Because they serve super appethaizing Thai food at affordable prices, that's why! ;)
