Here's the location.
So this is my RM7.80 bowl of James Lamb Curry Noodles. I chose kuey teow and requested for more meat, less noodles. Verdict? I love it! Rich, thick, fragrant and lip-smacking spicy curry and chunky tender lamb – what’s not to like? 🙂 And no, it isn’t super spicy (as case you’re worried) but packed enough burn to stimulate the tastebuds.
The beef satay was very good. The meat was succulent and tasty. A thumbs up!
Guests can choose to sit inside or dine al fresco on the sand where tables and chairs are set up among the trees.
Rating 2.5/10. I wonder how can a 5-star resort serving 1-star foods? It baffled me. Are the foreigners' taste buds so different and so easy to placate. I overheard that some foreigners were staying here for a week and some even stayed here up to a month! What a waste! If there spend their time in Penang island, they'll really know how great Malaysia's foods are. This Pangkor Laut Resort's foods are really a disgrace!
STG Ipoh Oldtown had very friendly service and the feel of the restaurant is classy without being overly expensive. However, the food in their afternoon tea leaves much to be desired. While RM58 is a terrific price for afternoon tea for two pax, the food was mediocre and not even worth that. The savoury fare was especially bad. This high tea set is also very little grub for most people if you share everything equally. I wasn’t particularly hungry when we sat down, but even I still felt unfed and wanted more nibbles when we left. Good thing we were in a food paradise like Ipoh!

As a Ipohrian , I seriously haven't heard about this famous paranakan Cuisine that exists at Medan gopeng until last week I had this opportunity to try out their awesome dishes in front of me . well known restaurant serve Lunh and Dinner .
A popular dish in Ipoh is the mushroom sauce chee cheong fun (rice rolls). The version at Lim Ko Pi came with a side of bean curd stuffed with fish paste and deep fried. They gave a lot of minced meat but there wasn’t enough sauce so the result was pretty dry.
I will definitely come back here for the fried chicken.
Stewed pork leg & duck in clay pot.
Verdict: Certainly had a crush on the soothing ambiance and laid back vibe of Seong Man. If you’re looking for a less crowded place to chill out at Ipoh, this is the place!
Sui kao and wonton dumplings in tasty soup.
Reasons to visit The Pomelo Ipoh: beautiful setting amongst the tropical rainforest overlooking hot springs; quality menu made on fresh, wholesome ingredients.
BabySumoKids love lamb, and they sure enjoyed the Grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack with sauteed vegetables and potatoes. The lamb was wonderfully tender and cooked perfectly with lovely charred edges. Highly recommended.
The food here is just average, nothing extraordinary to shout about but it is a nice place to chill out and relax with family and friends to have something to eat. The Blackpepper Sauce Grilled Chicken that i tried is decent. Serving portion is average, the chicken is soft with strong Blackpepper taste. While the Japanese Curry Chicken is not too spicy and the chicken is ok too.
Stewed lamb with spaghetti for me.
Ona Laksa is their speciality, so I must order this for my first visit. At first, it looked like tuna noodles with milk. I was told to add the spicy paste that came in a small saucer. Hmmmm....yummy! A very special version of laksa.
Hubby ordered a bowl of Siamese Laksa @ RM 9.50 The laksa gravy was thick and taste good but the noodle was overcooked.
If you happen to be in Tong Sui Kai, the stall is recommended for its simple yet nostalgic taste.
This place serves delicious laksa noodle and desserts. We were not hungry so we didn't order any noodle, we just order something light.
Hubby's blue rice "nasi lemak" with rendang chicken. This set costs RM 18.00 Delicious rendang chicken with blue rice (colour from blue pea flower). This set includes a drink, hubby chose iced tea (teh-O) without sugar.
Ayam rempah (chicken) with a very unique sauce on the sweet side.
