Lunch for 4 pax - Soup with Lean Pork Meat for 2 pax in claypot at MYR16 nett per pax so MYR32 nett. A single pax dry portion with lean pork at MYR16 nett. The soup is light in colour and has wolfberries (goji) in it. It does not have the strong herbal taste but instead is like a sweet aromatic rich chicken soup. I was not thirsty after drinking the soup so verdict is no MSG used. All of us could not stop drinking the soup and had to ask for refills.
My Personal Opinion Though we tried only two, I enjoyed the "tai chow" or cooked dishes here. I guess if it's tai chow I want, I'll pop over here and go to E Soo for yong tou foo instead. Having said that, some of Chan Chan's yong tou foo are respectable (especially the fried bean curd puffs)...just not the fried bean curd rolls! ;)
Verdict: Affordable price, decent food, comfy environment and attentive service, these pretty sum up my first dining experience here. (^^)b
EatMor Paradise (previously known as Mo Mo Paradise) is one of the longest standing shabu shabu restaurant in Kepong. Rightfully so, since their steamboat buffet is a bargain (RM39.50/pax) compared to the steamboat restaurants that do ala carte menu. Just to give you an idea, we had a dinner at Ho Ho Steamboat a few days ago and we noticed an increase in their prices. It costs at least RM40 for 2 pax now and that’s just the basic set without topping up anything else. The price for a single portion of pork slices is shockingly expensive too, it’s RM22!
Goljade cafe is a pork free restaurant specializes in their very own western recipes from salads, soup bread to charbroiled beef ribs. What's more special is that they offer free flow of salads, soups and bread! You just have to order a main dish and you'll get to eat their homemade salads, soup and bread as much as you want! Good deal isnt it?!
