Tiki Taka, located in the housing neighborhood of Medan Damansara, has been serving lots of scrumptious East meets West inspired tapas bites. Coupled with their full bar service, it is one of the better place to hang out in that area for good food and drinks. This round, the new menu is bolder and definitely better. Filled with lots of porky fare, there’s plenty of small bites as well as mains and a sweet ending. We visited once evening for a sneak peek and was pretty stoke about the luscious menu coupled with a few giggle juices.

The favourites are still there, Nutella Bacon, Pork Satay, Singapore Chilli Prawns, and yes of course Salted Egg Crab Bun, you’ll never be at risk of the new Pintxos, Tapas & Mains that has become their signature dish and now you will have a whole new selection of sublime taste sensations vying for your attention! Papa C said they have the best Connor’s as Tiki Taka has one of the best pour. It pours black with a thick, creamy beige head. Love the smoothness.

Reasons to visit: In the end, we had a lovely evening of it and left very… uh… satisfied. In all honesty, though, I couldn’t really tell you whether the cocktails had the aphrodisiac powers that they claimed to have, since there is no discounting the placebo effect. But I will say that they were all delicious and fun and very unique – and that in itself is a good reason to try them out.

You may have to spend around RM20 per pax for a meal here if you order their char siew separately by portion sizes. If you find the prices too steep, then go for a more reasonably priced plate of char siew rice. Though this place has been around for 7 years now, I don't know if the standard is still the same as when they first started (since this is my first visit) but it definitely has a place (in my books) among some of the top-notch char siew I've had over the years. We tend to eat at the same places or close to where we live and I'm only discovering some of these places since I started blogging about my food experiences among others. I guess I should have come sooner but better late than never, right? It'll be interesting to see what's in store at their new place.....new additions to the menu perhaps? I shall return! ^_^

The long-established Chinese home-styled restaurant has been there for long and has since, earned its reputation for being one of the best Chinese restaurants around. Nestled within the housing area, the restaurant occupies 3 units with a huge signage can be easily spotted from far. The place is huge and could easily accommodate diners in large groups, air-conditioned seats are available too. For the past couple of days, I have been having cravings for Don (short for donburi - a Japanese rice bowl dish). Hence I decided to drop by Five-HT, a Japanese Fusion restaurant, for dinner. One of the reasons why I enjoy fusion food so much is because the amalgamation of flavors and textures, never ceased to surprise me. Marrying conventional ingredients the unconventional way - sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't, and at most instances, I'd never know what to expect. Five-HT however, was a little bit of a hit and miss for me. Tip: Stick to the Dons and the Coffees.

The Irish stew (RM42) had a wonderful homemade quality to it. The lamb shoulder has been braised until tender, with potatoes and carrots. Usually when I make it at home, I serve it with garlic bread, however Wildflower gives this an Asian twist, serving the stew with toasted Hainanese bread drizzled with truffle oil. Perfect for soaking up all that delicious sauce.

We love the Sakura Premium Pork Slice (RM 15 ( Half) | RM 25 ( Full)) , Sakura Pork Belly ( RM 13 ( Half)| RM 25 ( Full) ) which come real good and every mouthful are just heavenly. Swish swish the meat in the hot pot and you can taste the fragrant and juicy meat of it. Don’t miss out their pork balls as well where they have them with the cheese in it. The ooziness of the cheese coming out with just a bite of it. Hu La La … That’s just awesome!

Reasons to visit Zoe Bangsar: a charming gem just off the main strip of Bangsar; a pleasant balcony area with hanging flower pots and ceiling fans or a spot on a stool at the kitchen counter are my preferred seats; the lunch set is a reasonably-priced way to get a taste of the kitchen; my favourite dishes were the fish ceviche, muhammara, lamb ragu pappardelle and those oh-so-luscious chocolate truffles.

Value Lunch Set: Soy Grilled Chicken Rice MYR 14++ (10% service charge and 6% GST = MYR 16.15 nett). This set includes a glass of cold or ice lemonade and desserts. Buttered rice, yogurt mint dip, soy grilled chicken, sourish mangoes salad taste to me like a strange mix but I finished them all anyway in 2 sessions (kept half for dinner) because I don't waste food.
