Pancake is decent, the crusted fish a bit below expectation. Coffee is nice.
A good neighborhood cafe and bakery to enjoy western breakfast.
One good feature here is that all pastries and breads are all pre-packed with plastic wrappers.
Visited here twice this month for breakfast the 1st time and now lunch, definitely a nice quite place for a cuppa (if there is not a crowd of people having their meetings here)!
The restaurant is air-conditioned and has a clean and simple decoration.
Come try! Fresh ingredients, Fresh food.
Banana Slice, 6 ringgit If you love banana cake, you would be happy with the slice served here. I’ve been to several cafes whereby they serve the same dish, for the same price but the amount of bananas actually used in it is rather questionable. They call it banana cake/slice, but it’s basically 80% flour and 20% bananas. You’d barely be able to taste it. Here though, it tasted awesome. Not only is the slice dense and moist, you would get a generous amount of banana bits scattered all over it. Be warned though, it is filling. To truly enjoy it, its best eaten when your stomach isn’t full.
Taste:9/10(Delicious. I like their banana cake and the flour less chocolate brownie with walnut. Both are outstanding and taste very good. The chocolate is melt in your mouth type and the banana cake using real pisang berangan. One of my friend said the banana cake taste like cecodok pisang. Its somehow 70% true but this cecodok is healthier, tastier and lesser oil plus quite filling. I also tried their mushroom quiche which is good but the scones need some improvement).
Since I don't bake, I am now hooked on the chiffon cakes by RT Pastry because of their soft and light texture and affordable price. When I went to buy the 4th cake, I also bought some buns.
Very nice home-made ice cream gelato in Taipan.
The Latte goes well with Otak-Otak bread!
Overall, we had a good time here. One of the operators was kind enough to check in on us and provided some background on TBX. We also enjoyed the neighbourhood vibes of TBX, and we believe it will be mainstay for Subang-ites for years to come.
Creative, beautiful and definitely tasty cakes
Both the 鸡蛋午餐肉 Luncheon Egg Bun and 鸡蛋火腿面包 Chicken, Egg Ham Bun have always been a favorite for breakfast or snack especially when they are fresh.
Lemon Icing croissant at MYR 6.80 nett. It is one of the lowest price. Lemon icing croissant in a takeaway bag because I don't think there is a dining area for customers to eat in. I wonder can this bakery survive here as it mainly sells croissant. Guess the big student population here may help it stay afloat.
And for first timer, we would recommend you to try their Raspberry Panna Cotta, Golden Cheese Croissant, Apple Croissant, Hazelnut Macron Croissant, and of course their new release Salted Egg Croissant.
Raspberry Croissant is especially outstanding, thanks to its special combination of raspberry puree tinged with fresh lemonade. Sweet & sour, matching right with the croissant.
The Baum Macha is also nice, it is refrigerated, the green machan in the middle is like an ice cream which melts a little bit on the plate as I was eating it.
Jim's Recipe's signature product is the 海綿蛋糕 traditional Sponge Cake; however, also available are the 鹹蛋海綿蛋糕 Salted-Egg Sponge Cake and 芝士海綿蛋糕 Chees Sponge Cake variant.
At this branch, not only you can looks for the freshly baked fluffy sponge cake, there are others pastries like Cream buns, Sausage buns, Egg Tart, Swiss-roll, Layer Cakes and many more.
Crepe Cake and Cafe
Baker's Cottage's specialize in the production of buns, pastries, cakes, cookies and mooncakes, but also offering roasted chicken at what seems every affordable prices.
In conclusion, our personal favorites – Pistachio and Niko Neko Matcha – stood out. If you find yourself in the vicinity of SS 14, Subang Jaya, or any of the other mentioned locations, do check out and treat your taste buds to the magical world of Sugar and I’s Bomboloni.
Some say this is the "Best Pau" in Malaysia!
Le Bread Days were once a big hype in the market for their Molten Egg Yolk Croissant that have inspired many bakers and other desserts shop to come out with Salted egg yolk base taste. Since then, they have expanded another outlet to SS15 where I have pass numerous time and only to try it out recently.
It has actually opened its doors 2008, serving quality food of house recipe, and great coffee within a cozy environment with the intention to offer a slice of Japan- a taste of home in Malaysia where they currently reside, so they started this cafe to offer a Japanese style cafe meal. I do think it is better when refrigerated, although if it is hot from the oven maybe the best as well.
First taste test very nice, not too sweet and good chocolate taste!
