Food at Tai Cheong Bakery is classic Hong Kong tea house cuisine, focusing on snack, desserts, and light bites.
Order this to try as we saw most of the table ordering it! Turn out it was good. I can taste the truffle in every bite and the cheese was well spreaded.
Overall, Tai Cheong Bakery definitely served the comfort food that the Hong Kongers have on daily basis. It is good, but don't expect extraordinary stuff. We'll definitely make a return visit, just not very keen on spending too much time lining up. Cheers!!
Western Food Delivery Bread Yard Cafe Review ; rustic meatball linguine, cheesesteak sandwich, multigrain wholewheat loaf ($6).
It is a pleasant experience and the food is better than other bakery cafes we have been so far.
The Prawn & Bacon Aglio Olio (picture below) looked like a simple pasta dish garnished with prawn, bacon, chilli and cherry tomatoes. But beneath the calm appearance was a fiery taste of chilli.
So the Elvis bagel tasted exactly like how it was described, of candied bacon, caramelised banana and peanut butter. It seemed like a weird combination on what was essentially harder bread, but tasted quite good.
Madmoiselle Chantal featured corned beef, honey baked ham, Swiss cheese with a sunny side up and some Carolina mustard. I liked it as a cold cut bagel with eggs and cheese.
Overall, I am glad that Two Men Bagel House has opened in Holland Village and judging from the queues in their opening week
Wunderfolks tarts are delightful handmade treats - whole & 8cm tarts in 6 flavours including Fruitilicious, Chocolate, Maple Pecan & Lychee.
My family and I like their Fruitilicious Fruit Tart (45 SGD for 9in.) for its generous topping of fruits as well as nice buttery, flavourful crust.

Folks and Stories is one of those underrated local baking studios that definitely deserves more recognition.
They had interesting huat kueh flavours, like Sweet Potato Dried Longan and Rose Lychee.
They also sell Chinese New Year pastries!
Fresh, fluffy and flavourful muffins.
The mochi buns were fluffy outside, with sticky and chewy mochi inside, and sweet but subdued black sesame flavour. Nice.
