The grilled fish was this halibut, nicely done with crispy skin and as expected of a white fish the flesh was tender and had hardly any fat. Overall a good dish, except for the mash potato which was rather soft.
The Crab fried rice had a simple presentation but surprised everyone with its astonishing depth of flavour and wok hei (breath of the wok) β something that can only be achieved by cooking the ingredients over high heat, sealing in all the flavours. It boasted just the right amount of seasoning β not too bland nor salty β and the sambal chilli sauce gave it a spicy kick.
We were recommended to try Chicken Maryland, an off-menu item that his portion could cater for 2 person. The dish is flawless in execution - nicely deep fried chicken breast of generous portion, served along with sausage, ham piece, wedges, French fries and salad. Nevertheless, I would not say it was mind-boggling as well. It weighed as a simple yet nice comfort food that I would glad to enjoy.
Reasons to visit Tiga Cocktail Bar Ipoh: love the entrance, setting and story behind it; knowledgeable bartenders who work with speed and finesse; for something light and fizzy try the Summer Remedy; peanut butter lovers would do well to sample the Buttery N I Know It; and those looking for deep, dark complexity should give the Smokey Grail an order.
Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is massive and itβs also equipped with pool tables, flat screens playing sports, electronic dart boards and live singing to keep you entertained. Happy hour is between 4pm β 10pm (5 half pints @ RM60++, RM68++ for a Tiger tower) and the live singing shows are usually on Sundays starting from 9.30pm onward.
Reasons to visit Kiki-Lalat Ipoh: fun local brews β must try the todi mixed with lemongrass or smoky Mezcal; charming setting; friendly team; craft beer in Ipoh!
After having our plan postponed twice, we finally get to have dinner at the Warehouse, Palo 101. It happened to be raining heavily that evening and it took us a while to find the entrance to the Warehouse, which is a food and brew place located at 189, Unit 3, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Taman Jubilee, Ipoh.
On the other hand, the Honey Glazed Salmon Fish (RM 48) is alright. The Shoyu marinated salmon fillet served with sautee bok choy and Asian spring roll, along with XO Sauce is generous in size, though the texture could be improved by serving it medium rare or medium instead of almost perfectly cooked to have a tough texture.
Verdict: Overall, The Deck Gastrobar is easily beat my expectations on what they came up with. Itβs no brainer that I would recommend you this place for some fancy modern food or for an occasional indulgence.
1st set - Lamb @ RM 30.
I wouldn't go again because of the price of the food and what they served.
Nice place to chill out the day whether alone or with friends!
BabySumoKids love lamb, and they sure enjoyed the Grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack with sauteed vegetables and potatoes. The lamb was wonderfully tender and cooked perfectly with lovely charred edges. Highly recommended.
There is a full-bar-area with draft beer, cocktails, and moctails.
