We look forward to seeing how Kumoya gets morphed into Kiki and Lala’s very own heavenly Land of Stars, with hanging clouds, lots of stars, and decked in dreamy pastel tones.
Have a go with their claw machine and you might walk away with your own We Bare Bear plushie.
From adults to children, there is plenty for all generations to enjoy.
Picture this: perfectly crispy and tender fried chicken perched atop delicate, sweet buttermilk pancakes with a slight crispiness along the edges. While the chicken is a definite highlight, the pancakes may not suit everyone's taste buds. Reminiscent of Artistry's layout, the café maintains a familiar atmosphere.
The space of Earlybird is cosy and spacious, which makes it an ideal space to have a leisurely brunch. The dishes are generally on point for a cafe, with no GST and service charge.
Every dish at Earlybird impressed, and it is safe to say that this is one of the best cafes to open in Singapore this year.
All in all, we enjoyed both cakes a lot even though they were a tad too sweet so if you’re here with your friends, get a few slices to share otherwise it can get really sickly after a while.
I did find the prices a bit exorbitant, but a percentage of their sales goes to Muhammadiyah Home Welfare.
Totally packed, even with reservations we still had to wait for a table
Food at Twenty Eight Cafe (And Catkin By Huishan) is Modern European and Modern Singaporean, influenced by British, American, and Italian cuisines. They offer all-day breakfast, pastries, and mains, all freshly made and served in large hearty portions sized for individuals, but are best shared as it's really filling. Gelato is made in-house daily, as are their artisanal plated desserts, drawing on local Singaporean flavours and memories. Prices are reflective of most cafes, budget about SGD $33 per person.
I like the space at Twenty Eight Cafe and there is so much potential for this cafe. It might just be the dishes I tried, but my visit was far from good.
The common breakfast wasn't that fantastic and did not wow me. Can be easily replicated in my own kitchen.
Chicken Supreme - Pan fried chicken breast paired with asparagus and mash potatoes. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The mash potatoes was really good, highly recommend to give it a try.
Wow. That was a very long post! I thought the Symmetry menu is crazily extensive, and I’m sure that everyone would be able to find something that fits their taste profile and preference! Personally, I liked their mains best, because everything seemed to hit the right spots for me, except for that couscous in the lamb!

I visit the Bugis area at least once every other month so I like to explore new places to eat around the area. Other than Japanese and Korean food, we were looking for something different when we s…
2020 has been a year of staying grounded and canceled holiday plans for most of us and while we may feel restless, itching to cross borders, Typhoon Café has taken the lead to transport us to Taiwan. It has recently opened its second outlet in Bugis+, with its interior simulating a hole-in-the-wall cafe along Taiwan’s quaint Fujian Cafe Street.
Again, passable milky and slightly woody and medium-bodied latte, with some acidity.
Main Street Commissary is a new speciality coffee shop located right in the heart of Little India at 81 Rowell Road.
I do feel that it is a great place to let your hair down and enjoy some peranakan food with recipes that are passed down after all the teething problems are solved.
Maison Ikkoku Bar will be rolling out surprises and celebratory events as the year draws closer to an end. Keep your eyes peeled to their social media pages for updates.
I’m very excited for what’s ahead for them as it’s only been a few months since they’ve opened their doors at Tekka and they’re already doing so well.
Worth a try - a better bet than random generic kopi stalls that often serve ashy concoctions nowadays.
Nice dirty with fragrant and sweet gula melaka notes.
Kampong Glam Cafe is a family-run business serving authentic Malay cuisine at an affordable price. After retiring from professional football, Mr. Bashir Khan has dedicated himself to his business, and to developing the Kampong Gelam community.
Overall, we enjoyed the quiet serenity, spaciousness, quality beverages and friendly service of Mellower Coffee once more.
Except for the pretty space for OOTD, and complimentary WiFi, a handful of charging point, we didn’t find a reason to return.
The Sweet Little Rain (SGD $9.80) is the house signature dessert beverage, created by Korean barista champion and resident coffee director Kim Jinkyu.
All Things Delicious in Arab Street is a very nice spot for a drink or a bite - whether substantial or light, whether sweet or savoury.
Overall, we enjoy the food served at Kelo Food. From a non-ketogenic perspective, we find the food to be tasty, enjoyable, creative and big on flavour. We totally did not miss the carbs and sweets on the night. Cheers!!
Personally, Haji Lane is one area I would strongly recommend to new travelers to Singapore; it has an exclusive chillax vibe different from...
Mondays cafe has interesting comfort food and indulgent pastries and desserts with good coffee; interior is chic with comfortable seating.
Nice earl grey lavender ice cream, subtly sweet and fragrant. Not bad latte.
In the end, I think hygge is not something we can buy ourselves into but rather something that we have to embrace by slowing down – switch off your phone, kickback with a book and enjoy your favorite cuppa.
Hygge has managed to create a conducive environment for people chill out, or to take a breather over a cup of coffee.
All in all, HYGGE has a long way to go in order to keep themselves relevant in the scene, especially with its location at a neighbourhood saturated with cafes.
Indulge in the best Teh Tarik at Bhai Sarbat, a nostalgic gem in Kampong Glam. Watch how the tea masters pull the frothy drink!
Wan Wan Thai Cafe gave us some really enjoyable desserts which satisfied my sweet tooth without being too cloying.
