Service was almost like in HK, somewhat indifferent. Instant noodles was well… instant noodles, with an interesting savoury satay beef that was more five spice beef sauce than nutty satay sauce.
Overall, it was one of the best HK café experiences that we have had in Singapore. LD gave the Chicken Chop Rice two thumbs up, while I enjoy the Beef Ball Brisket Horfun and Satay Beef Instant Noodle.

Back again. Really tasty and well made foe coffeeshop dim sum.
Really nice deep fried taro dumpling, shatteringly crispy and crackling outside, yammy and soft inside with a nicely marinated fried shrimp, mushroom and chicken meat filling. Everything else looks nice too – worth a try again for their other offerings.
In a nutshell, there were some misses but the prices shall be the main motivation factor as I only paid about S$42, plus the fact I am literally just minutes' away from home. I would know what to avoid in my next visit; definitely no har gow. And the twin brothers should consider improving their ordering system!
Maybe it’s age related; after a main meal nowadays, I would seek out an alternative place to chill out and it could be either a coffee shop ...

Set B - Nasi Lemak Wing Set at S$4.50. The price may seem pricey but do keep in mind that you would get a fried kuning fish, a chicken wing, peanuts with ikan bilis and a fried egg.
Not bad, soft and pillowy with a good rice fragrance and interesting fillings. The gula melaka and black sesame were both not bad – sweet, flavourful without being cloying.
海南仔 might ring a bell in the head of some of you as it was less than a week that I blogged about the hokkien mee! But this particular stall...

Wisteria Mall , located in the infamous town of Yishun, has been opened for more than two years. Embarrassingly, as a proud Yishunian, I onl...
Fried Porridge in Yishun? Perhaps you have already known it.
With the café-openings slowing down in Singapore, my recommendation for Wild Wood Café is to have more personality in their dishes, and perhaps introduce a brunch dish or two that is uniquely theirs.
The quality of drinks are consistent at Xing Fu Tang, with the signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk a personal favourite of the Pandas – made perfect with its balanced mix, and most importantly, it did not come across as overly sweet.
