Everything we ordered was very tasty, if not expensive, for what it is. Thereโs so much we want to try on the menu that we seriously considered coming back here for dinner a few hours later. If we lived nearby, thereโs no doubt that we would be regulars at Strangers at 47.
Slightly disappointed with the BBC and Coffee Orange. The butter fish rice is good.
If seafood is more your thing, thereโs Miss Dory (RM22.50), comprising breaded and deep fried to golden perfection fish fillet, battered squid, citrus-cucumber onion salad, potato pumpkin mash, roasted cherry tomatoes and homemade sriracha mayo lime. All the flavours and textures โ the crunchy from the fish and squid, the soft and smooth pumpkin mash plus the tangy cherry tomatoes and mayo lime โ come together wonderfully.
5/10. Good ambience (and free WiFi - just ask the staff for the password), but Iโm probably not coming back here for the food (or at least the breakfast/lunch/dinner). In my opinion, has many similarities to Mei (also considered a fairly healthy eating spot) and I just think that the quality - at a similar price point - is just much better at Mei. Probably the reason for the slightly harsher review, but a nice spot to have coffee (or at least it has the ambience for it)!
I went for the Hoisin Smoked Duck Rice Roll (RM16), which came in a generous portion with Japanese rice, tempura mushroom and onsen egg. Considering the price vs portion, it was pretty value for money! The duck had a sweet flavour which was closer to a teriyaki glaze, and the meat was tender but not gamey. Loved nibbling on the flavourful extra layer of duck fat on the top ! The tempura mushrooms werenโt greasy and gave the dish a crispy element. Egg was perfectly poached. All in all, a solid rice bowl.
There is a "cool look" to both the interior and exterior of Garage 51, with an mordernist and industrial deco, coupled with reburbished huge oil drums as seats at the entrance, plus the huge mural painting on the big wall outside; you can't miss it. And definitely serves up a good Latte!
I'd say good combinations, although a little salty as expected but tasty, appetizing, and satisfying meal.
Food today: 7 / 10 ๐๐๐๐
This is the 8th visit to Milligram since October 27, and some days like today, the Cafรฉ is almost empty before 12pm and then empty again after 2pm.

Daging steak dia pun lembut. Masak secukup rasa. Makanan yang saya order fish & chips pun macam tak larat habis. Dan yang penting apabila saya potong fish & chips dia tidak pecah berderai. Ada setengah kedai ikan dia pecah jadi susah nak makan.
Chicken Wrap Set Lunch at MYR 12 nett. Tastes decent.
Was not disappointed with Food Foundry and certainly eager to check-out its sister operation "Butter + Beans at 17" as well as "Feeka Coffee" by Asian Age Group, the earlier in Happy Mansion as well and later in KL.
Seabass - MYR 26+ (6% GST = MYR 27.56 nett) at Food Foundry, Happy Mansion, PJ. The portion is just right for me.
Overall, nice place to hang out makan dan borak borak. Tapi jangan kuat sangat, nanti orang pandang !
We believe Table & Apronโs enduring qualities will ensure its longevity in the KL dining scene. After almost ten years, the food remains impeccable, and the service is still as enthusiastic and earnest as ever.
I'm stoked to savour my favourite Ulam Rice (RM38) from Table & Apron (T&A) restaurant after a 2-year hiatus.
While their specials and a la carte menu may see exciting options during holidays, the set menu has classic favorites. You can eat like a king, delighting over the unique combinations. Each set comes with spicy ginger tea and a choice of a delicious daily soup or salad. Only available Tuesday to Friday at lunchtime, show up early and dig in! In particular, the soft bone pork stew is a favorite. Served with garlic rice, glazed carrots, and a soy sauce egg itโs a sensory delight. Justโฆwhere to begin on this delectable dish?!
It was an underwhelming experience, to put it mildly. So The Great Angmoh was not so great after all.
I might come back from time to time because the coffee here is amazing.
Starting our meal with one of the dish in All Day Breakfast : Pulled Duck Benedict @ RM 29. Slow โ cooked Braised Duck Toasted Broiche Organic Poached Egg, Chipotle Hollandaise, Crispy Duck Bits.
What do We Like about Fluffed Cafe & Dessert Bar? -Huge variety of shortcake and cloudcake -Cafe with good vibe

Strawberry waffle at MYR 22 nett. Needs a few friends to share this waffle because the strawberry sauce and ice cream is too sweet for one person.
What do We Like about Grub by Ahong & Friend? -Reasonably priced no frills steakhouse -Tasty steak and unique Yorkshire pudding
No better way to say I love you, than wagyu. We enjoyed our Wagyu NY Strip MB01 and Angus flanksteak from Grub by Ahong & Friends.
Donโt be fooled by its shop appearance and weird name, they actually serve one of the best steak in town at an affordable price. We are lucky to get a buy 1...
As for the 240g chicken patty, it was made with 70% chicken breast and 30% chicken thigh, the patty was juicy. The avocado pesto salsa was refreshing and fragrant to go with the chicken patty, good combination it was.
The vibes here are quite interesting but a bit expensive, eg. Paleo Beef Burger (RM 26.90) where the portion is quite big.
Would I head here again? Hmmmm, if I want a cheerful place to hang out at , that is noisy and full of laughter and people talking and all, then yea, I would head here. For the food specifically , not so much. Like I said in the intro, first for its boisterous environment and then for the food.
Curry Mee Pok is think and spicy, pretty good. There is a new Briyani Rendang Chicken, pretty good too.
Ipoh Hor Fun okay, but the prawn no taste.
All in all, we had a good experience at Oriental Kopi โ but I wouldnโt call it something worth queueing up for, or something you could have often. Granted, you do get to dine in air conditioned comfort, but prices are steep for what is essentially ordinary kopitiam fare. Expect to pay around RM15 for most of the mains. The beverages are also twice the price of a kopitiam (our iced coffee cost around RM7.50).
In the grilled form โ the salmon was so tender and juicy! The karaage was good too as batter was crunchy and chicky was tender. The set came with rice, miso soup, salad, chawanmushi, pickled veggie, tuna and fruits.
7.5/10. Overall, a solid dinner. Canโt really go wrong with this place. A really cozy ambience with high quality food. (Honestly speaking, as far as restaurants go - as in not Omakase - this is definitely on the higher range in terms of quality of salmon sashimi).
Then came the Nipporiโs Style Nachos Curry Cheese Duck. This dish is large enough for two to three people sharing and is available in two different variations. Either curry cheese duck or classic chicken. We ordered the duck option. The Nachos came at the same time as the Avocado Prawn Tempura Maki, which is a deep fried prawn tempura, wrapped in sushi rice, tamagoyaki and kyuri, each carefully topped with slices of fresh avocado.

Note - limited seat indoors (7 tables) and outdoors (3 tables + 4 counter seats) - more a coffee place with limited cakes & pastries - came on Sun, 2.30pm and got an outdoor table but later moved to indoor table - nice place to chill on a hot Sunday afternoon

The Cafe also offers a variety of beverages including Coffee Mock-tail, Signature Coffee, and Espresso-Based Coffee.
Pesto Pasta with Onsen egg lunch set at MYR 15.90 nett
I only had eyes, however, for the Cheezy Meltdown (RM19). The sandwich was all I had hoped for โ cheesy goodness with a good balance of textures. The cheese tasted a lot like the KFC cheese sauce, and got a little overwhelming after a while. Even one slice was very filling. If youโre a small eater, I suggest getting this to share.
What do We Like about Thai Hou Sek, One Utama? -The delicious fusion Thai foods. The clear tom yum soup was nicely done -The value set meal was indeed value for the money -Comfortable dining environment
Also ordered one of their bestsellers: Siu Yuk Tom Yum. The dish is good enough for 2-3 people, and comes loaded with chunks of roast pork and juicy mushrooms. The soup is everything a good tom yum should be: sour and appetising, great with rice, and spicy with a kick.
Siu Yuk fried rice at MYR 19+ (MYR 20.14 nett). The siu yuk rind is crispy but some may find the meat to be on the dry side.
This cafe has become very crowded on weekends after lunch as well, with a waiting time of 30 minutes. We order our usual: ice ball coffee and signature souffle pancake. Wife complaint the coffee is..
Best soufflรฉ in Puchong. On weekend, avoid peak hours between 8 to 11pm.
The souffle and coffee ball doesn't disappoint.
A Pie Thing is your answer to savoury and sweet pies in Petaling Jaya. This OG pie shop serves beef, chicken, lamb, and veggie pies, and the best Lemon Curd pie in town.
Taste:8/10(Good. I satisfied with the taste of the chicken mushroom pie here however I think they can still improve on the taste of the crust).
The Mashacre version consists of mashed Potatoes, Sweet Peas and laden with smooth, luscious gravy. The choice of our Pie was Chicken Masala... carefully cooked and seasoned Chicken Masala filling encased in a flaky, buttery pastry skin. We were worried if the combination would turn out to be overly salty but to our surprise, it was well-seasoned on the dot. We thought it was very filling but had to leave some space for their sweet varieties
Reasons to visit Brew & Bread Kota Kemuning: expert coffee roasters; a great place to expand your palate and try different styles of coffee production and beans; must order Nasi Ulam Soft Shell Crab, Ayam Pongteh and the Avocado Toast.
Taste:8/10(Good. Ordered their lemon butter fish which consist of Japanese butter fish, lemonade sauce, herbed potatoes and vegetables. The fish meat is a bit overcooked and slight hard. As for the dessert, the french toast were good).
This weekend, friends and family together to about [Brew & Breads] spend leisurely brunch time it ~ do not forget to carefully try the [Brew & Breads] for you carefully concocted a cup of good coffee yo ~
A more than satisfactory meal at "Jam & Kaya" today. Will be back soon for another Pancake brunch, maybe the next visit will be for the the Cafe's 2 other Signature offerings which are the sweet "Jam & Kaya's Pancake" and the "Hot Chocolate with Choco Balls"!
We like that the kaya and fruity jam were not overtly sweet. In fact, the kaya jam has a lighter green hue as they are made from freshly made pandan. The strawberries were not sour too โ which is a plus in our books. We literally demolished the pancake stack in 5 minutes!

The ramen noodle of SoloMen deserves a special mention as it was perfectly done. The ramen texture was al-dente, springy and firm
My order: ChaHan set (fried rice) with miso soup, 3 gyoza and a cup of hot green tea at MYR 13.70 nett. I kept half the rice and two gyoza for dinner and finished drinking all the miso soup and hot green tea.
Earl Grey Mojito RM7.90 This drink also came highly recommended by the barista and I can clearly see why. This alcohol-free drink is absolutely refreshing! The earl grey tea added a crisp flavour to the traditional mojito! Underneath the minty citrus blend, the drink ended with a creamy base note of early grey which lingers for a bit. Quite an interesting adventure for the taste bud, but definitely a good one.
