Their standard and quality of dishes have been reputable and consistent all these years.

Hua Xing Bak Kut Teh & Steamed Fish review - BKT Lunch at Yuhua Market Hawker Centre, Jurong East Singapore with pictures of food and stall
A hidden hawker gem in Jurong with a multi-generation following for their peppery bak kut teh, Teochew steam fish and asam fish enjoyed with Nanyang tea.
The bak kut teh was very peppery and porky, but didn’t seem to have any additional layers of fragrance. The mui cai was not bad, but couldn’t save the soup. I think this had been featured variously due to their old-school taste, which I didn’t appreciate.
Joo Siah Bak Koot Teh delivery review - pictures of pork ribs soup, braised pork belly, bean curd skin, preserved vegetables ...
Personally, I like coming here in the early morning to get my peppery bkt fix.

We finally made our way to Pandan Gardens to try out Ah Hua Teochew Fishball Noodle! Our order consisted of their renowned dry-style mee tai mak and dry mee pok.
Authentic and Tasty Teochew Fishball Noodles that have fishballs and chilli paste made from scratch.
These handmade fishballs took me back to my childhood. The meatballs were probably the best I've ever had!
New at Jem. The noodles were quite crunchy, but not as much as I expected. They were coated in a nice and fairly deep soy sauce, much like that for soy sauce chicken, but a bit less sweet and intense. The wantons had crunchy prawn fillings with silky skin – nice.
Tsui Wah is an iconic cha chaan teng that hails from Hong Kong, best known for their condensed milk buns.
The rice was 粒粒分明, with good wok hei, and XO and hae bi fragrance (perhaps a bit too salty). The pork chop was meaty, tender and juicy, with a nice slightly savoury and meaty flavour.
King of Fried Rice Opening its 6th Outlet at Jurong East!
As overall, if you are comparing King of Fried Rice to DTF's fried rice, I will still prefer the taste of DTF.
Juicy bu jian tian char siew with a light sweet marinade and subtle savoury smokey flavour enveloping slender crunchy Hong Kong style egg noodles.
Most of their items gets sold out pretty fast by noon. Even though they are opened only for four hours a day, their typical day starts at about 3am when they have to start roasting their meats at the stall.
Koung’s Wan Tan Mee Geylang is perhaps regarded by most locals as the epicentre of Singapore’s flesh trade - dirty spas, seedy broth...
Selling the Wanton Mee from pushcart in the beginning to its first outlet at Geylang and now a second outlet by their 2nd generation, that’s a total of 56 years.
The noodle used is thicker than the usual mee kia. There is a springy bite to it and the body picks up the tossing sauce pretty well.
Honolulu Café has reasonably priced breakfast sets from 8 am to 11 am. The popular egg tarts and other pastries are also available.
I have been to Honolulu Café (檀岛香港茶餐厅) for quite a few times already and normally I always get to order the flaky egg tarts and so this time round, the cafe has come out new dishes like Bu Luo Egg Tarts and Mini Hazelnut Choco ttart.
Herbal Bak Kut Teh in Pandan Gardens. Do you prefer the soup kind of Bak Kut Teh or the Dry Version?
Tong Sheng Bak Kut Teh is a welcoming addition in the West with its JB-style herbal bak kut teh. I don't mind going back again for the bak kut teh on a rainy and cold day.
The top chicken rice stall at Yuhua Place with long time fans who love their very tender, juicy birds and flavourful aromatic dressing sauce.
The rice was grainy, fragrant and not overly oily – very nice stuff. The chicken was soft and tender, the skin gelatinous and smooth, and all of it was drizzled with a fragrant sesame oil. The chilli was fragrant, garlicky and potent too. I wonder if the good experience was because I ordered the chicken wing and drumstick, but this is what I will order henceforth.
Xing Yun Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice is definitely one of the better chicken rice in Singapore.
Authentic Hokkien Cuisine located in Jurong East.
Service rendered was normal, however quality and taste of food should be more of focus to improve on to live up to its authentic Hokkien's cuisine name.
The best items of the day were the red bean bun and the pan-fried dumplings – they were so good we asked for another helping. The rest of the dim sum items were ok but not very memorable.
The Grilled Limbo Fish With Mixed Chilies (SGD $45.90) features a large limbo fish / basa catfish, in a fragrant extra spicy gravy, garnished with dried red chili, fresh red chili, pickled green chili, Sichuan / Szechuan mala peppercorns, and spring onions.
Tim Ho Wan’s “All Time Favourites” menu is now available for sale at all its restaurants (except Nomstar) till mid-November.
Really flavourful and tender yong tau foo, well marinated with some smokiness. Nice and worth going back for.
One of the worthy meals to go for if you are looking for some nostalgic home cooked food especially.
The craze for Chinese grilled fish and Sauerkraut fish has gained popularity over the years. Ever since Tai Er's opening, it was seen that the restaurant is always swarmed with patrons. Tai Er 太二酸菜鱼 is famous for its preserved vegetables and Fish and has a few outlets in Singapore.
I'm quite impressed by the variety of food available and the reputation that A Kitchen has. I believe it will not be my last time here as I will introduce such a good place to my fellow friends who enjoy Chinese Food like this.
Having tried some of their new dishes, I'm quite glad that I have enjoyed them.
The taste of the dishes was adequate and hit the right spot. I will be back again for other dishes as the menu was quite extensive.
