Breathing new life into Teochew and Cantonese classics, Tien Court embraces a grand menu revamp as Master Chef Lui Wing Keung takes the reins, reinventing fresh culinary delights for the modern gourmand while staying true to its course.
Tien Court Restaurant located at Copthorne King’s has recently revamp their menu as Master Chef Lui Wing Keung takes the reins, reinventing fresh culinary delights for the fine Chinese restaurant.
Tien Court restaurant is often described as one of Singapore’s best "undiscovered" Chinese restaurants.
It has been awhile since my last visit to Red House Seafood, and am surprised by the standard of the food here – both the dinner set and the lunch dim sum I had were satisfying. This is one Chinese seafood restaurant worth the journey here.
this sophisticated Chinese restaurant is a fantastic dining option for an unforgettable Asian-fusion feast.
And as expected, the crab was supremely fresh and plump, making us feel extremely undeserving.
Light and sweet prawn noodle soup, the traditional Singaporean style. The noodles were cooked just right, soft yet with some bite, without any alkaline taste. It came with fairly big, fresh and firm prawns, fresh pork lard, pork slices, and fish cakes etc. Comforting stuff.
If you’re looking for a homey bowl of prawn noodles with a rich history, Covent Garden Prawn Noodle might be right up your alley!
Although the prawn noodle here falls short of my expectation, they do have a loyal following evident by the long queue in front of their stall.
The portion is priced at value-for-money pricing and the innards are very clean. Overall, the Kway Chap is decent and does not have any gamey aftertaste. For those who prefer to have a decent and hearty traditional Kway Chap at pocket-friendly pricing.
The busiest stall at Havelock Road Food Centre serving probably the cheapest kway chap by one of the oldest hawkers in Singapore.
This was delicious kuey chap. Old school and delicious.
I could tell that the roe was just done from the tender texture.
While arguably a bowl with minimal effort in the form of a thin broth, instant factory bought noodles and fish that only needed scaling and slicing in a cheap rental.
Overall you can get a decently good bowl of fish soup at Yu Mei Mei Shi. It didn't taste like they have added MSG for the sweetness of the soup to complement the fresh fish slices.
I liked the appetizer of lightly spiced XO sauced green beans and fried tofu.
After sampling the dishes, my initial hesitance towards them faded and I’ll even be back to try other items on their menu.
I was happy; next time I should try some of the other food on the menu too.
One thing that I was eager to obtain during the circuit breaker period was Teochew cold crab, particularly since it travels well via takeaway.
The chicken had just been taken out of their cold water bath. Chilled and tender but it was never at the standards of the old Sin Kee. Still nice though.
I like that the chilli has a sharp taste.
The stall's open from 10am till 4pm or until they're sold out.
surprisingly the roast pork was good actually..
These promotions are only available from now until 29 August 2019. So, hurry on down to Peach Garden for a feast fit for a king (or an emperor)!
3pax lunch was like S$56, so the poor XO carrot cake was like 1/3 of the the bill, plain ridiculous…moral of the story don’t order outside the 50% menu lol! 🙂
The stall constantly has a long queue during our lunch there. I can understand why because the boneless braised duck is well braised with the flavoursome sauce with a slight hint of herb taste.
All in all, "Shan" duck rice and noodle stall is a pretty decent stall that is not unfamiliar to the people staying along Havelock Road area. It is definitely a stall that you may want to visit if you want to have a no frill and a satisfying meal.
The kitchen sliced the bittergourd thin and left it still crunchy upon serving. Three dishes made for an awesome satisfying meal.
I got the tom yum ee mee option. The broth was a little spicy, heavy with tomato and cloudy.
We loved the variety of Chinese cuisine offered at Orient Palace.
Although I find the tossing sauce lacked oomph and does not really appeal to me, I cannot deny that the fishball noodle here is value for money.
Made a very satisfying weekend breakfast. Will be back.
The Chicken Rice Set ($4.30) looked all pretentious kitsch, but was really a flawlessly delicious plate of chicken rice.
Inevitable comparison mode on, this pretty respectable but definitely not the same standards of boiled chicken that Sin Kee does. The bird was tender, but it's not the same degree off slurp off the bone tender.
Uncle Chicken Rice has only opened for about a week, so it still needs time to smooth out its kitchen's operations. It will also gradually introduced more dishes on the menu. Meanwhile, if you missed his chicken rice, it is all ready to receive you.
