Located at Furama RiverFront, Wildcard may be a hidden gem, but it's certainly not one to be missed.
As a traditional Cantonese family, meals on the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year signify the abundance of food for the rest of the year. Usually, we will either cook at home or eat out at a Chinese restaurant with their CNY set menus, but this was the first year we decided to try a buffet lunch since the variety will be more sumptuous than a 10-course lunch
For those seeking a nice cafe in the vicinity of Havelock MRT station, Wildcard Cafe & Bar will be a good option. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely brunch, a good cup of coffee, or a glass of wine with bar bites, this charming spot offers a cozy haven in a convenient location.
Overall, it was a great experience dining at Po. While the food might seem familiar, the team at Po elevated those using better ingredients and modern cooking techniques.
The star here was the cockles. The cockles were so fresh and oh so big, plump and juicy!! Shiok lah. It is hard to get such big cockles these days. Really glad that I got to try this laksa at last after so many years! Do give it a try if you are around the area!
The portion is priced at value-for-money pricing and the innards are very clean. Overall, the Kway Chap is decent and does not have any gamey aftertaste. For those who prefer to have a decent and hearty traditional Kway Chap at pocket-friendly pricing.
If you are someone who prefers a stronger taste in Laksa, Guang Fa Laksa is definitely an underrated gem.
Light and sweet prawn noodle soup, the traditional Singaporean style. The noodles were cooked just right, soft yet with some bite, without any alkaline taste. It came with fairly big, fresh and firm prawns, fresh pork lard, pork slices, and fish cakes etc. Comforting stuff.
