Its a routine to order Satay from this stall every time during our visit and if you love Pork Satay, this is definitely recommended.
There are two dishes which I will want to highlight is the stall selling Claypot Chicken Rice. It is one of the best I tried in Malaysia, Johore. Small is RM7 and Big is RM15. Especially during peak hours, you will have to wait a little longer but good food, always worth the wait isn’t it. The moment it arrived, off the cover from the claypot and the fragrance of steam floating out was awesome! The combination of Chinese Sausages, Salted Fish, Chicken and the mixture of Black Sauce and Rice make gave it the perfect taste.
BBQ stingray and sotong are our favourite and must order even though I know I am not able to hold the sambal chilli well. It is spicy but delicious and the meat is tender and fresh. Grilled stingray and sotong - Rm42
Despite it being peak lunch hour, the service at Restoran Yew Swee was fast, and the waitresses were attentive.
YOU CAN ORDER MEN HOON KUIH WITH YOUR CURRY LAKSA. +++ Brownie points. :D A small bowl of laksa was definitely more than enough for me - look at how generous the toppings are! Fishball, fired tofu skin, tofu, cockles, bean sprout...simmering in a rich curry laksa broth with a strong hint of coconut milk. Simply divine. The laksa here is more towards the lemak-y side (read: rich in coconut milk!), I tend to steer clear from food that is rich in coconut milk but Yew Swee curry laksa is a huge exception!
Restoran Yew Swee has the top band of laksa, kway teow soup, lor mee, mee hoon kueh, and their oversized prawn cracker is very good too.
If you find yourself at JB around KSL Resort, Ah Hua Kuih Teow is a worthy breakfast spot.full review at http://kyspeaks.com/2018/06/05/ky-eats-ah-hua-kueh-t...
Ah Hua kueh teow serves kuih teow soup that comes with a pretty good list of ingredients – fish balls, pork slices, liver, minced pork, romaine lettuce , and even a sprinkle of fried lard and a pinch of seaweed, all in a broth that’s subtle and comforting. A side of red chili and soya sauce comes with this, making for a simple yet satisfying breakfast that warms the stomach in the morning.
Although the food here was quite good, the restaurant took quite a while to get our servings ready, it is either due to the crowd on the weekends or the kuey teow soup is cooked bowl by bowl to ensure its quality. If you are rushing for appointment or looking for quick meal, you may want to skip Ah Hua during lunch hours or weekends.
Sun Yau Kee congee's combination of soft and crisp textures, and balance of gentle sweet and savoury flavours is among the best 炸肠粥 that I have ever tasted.
吃的代价:中等价格 吃的评价:非试不可
Totally loving the sweetness from the flesh and it pairs well with the fried and raw garlic and savoury sauce.
Great place for Teochew seafood porridge at a reasonable price.
In the noodles, the great bite came with a nice chili/vinegar combination and minced meat.
Tasty Hotpot 有点香's xiang guo is way better than the flat salty, flat spicy, very famous, highly hyped joint I tried in Shanghai.
Favourite place in Johor Bahru for BBQ Seafood. This is not the first and also not the last visit. We will definitely be back again even though there are a lot of eateries we have yet to explore in Johor Bahru.
The Happiness & Harmony set for five to seven persons is priced at RM868 nett, the Lucky Charm set for eight to 10 persons at RM1,288 nett and the Golden Wealth set for eight to 10 persons at RM1,888 nett comes with a complimentary Salmon Yee Sang.
The restaurant is not big but Meisan's regulars like the intimate ambiance of its two sections and well appointed private rooms.
