I had a great meal at Lolla. While the restaurant feels a little dated by now, it is still a great dining venue if you are looking for robust flavours and a straightforward dining menu. It also helps that the dining ambience is quite casual, which makes this an ideal spot for first date nights.
The concept is small plates of fusion fare but then given a more original flavour & plating excellence, loving this Lolla Singapore Review.

In all, it was a thirst quenching dessert on a hot day. However, I would have preferred to go for cheng tng or ice jelly, if both were also available either on the menu or at other stalls.
The chendol strips possessed good pandan and coconut flavours but was slightly clumpy. The gula melaka was the bomb, rich without being cloying. The red beans were comforting and satisfying. I would have this any day over brown sugar milk tea.
A bowl of chendol that truly embodies the Singaporean hawker spirit!
One thing to note is that although we had their cakes in-house, they have a very small space and only have limited seating options.
A place that we would certainly be looking forward to visiting again, especially for their latest season of cakes to be offered with the new year!
There is a certain Melbourne vibe such as natural sunlight, glass window, red-bricked walls, lots of pastries on display that adds the charm to this cosy space.
I definitely foresee myself returning here for a warm bowl of green bean soup in the future.
Peanuts are being roasted, ingredients are being boiled, all for a good bowl of traditional dessert.
Slightly dense and so fluffy, this had a kueh texture and chewiness to it too. So yummy! Even on its own without the scoops of gelato.

I was not impressed with the ice cream too. I somehow tasted artificial colouring and flavouring in them. The texture was kinda strange too.
淡淡回忆中的古早味。微甜。微浓的椰糖味。
I guess everyone was talking about Er Gu's black sesame paste. I will be very keen to try it on a return trip.
