I admit I don’t know much about Filipino food. But I do know I like crispy skin Pork and that’s what Lechon is all about. Don Lechon is a hidden gem. Located at Grandlink Square near Paya Lebar MRT…
All in all, what they may be perceived to be lacking in, is compensated with their congeniality.
Food at Don Lechon is Filipino cuisine, focusing on that much-loved ingredient from the Philippines; Lechon.

There is only one thing you should order at Lechon Republic. It’s lechon.
The pork here was tender, juicy and fragrant, and had some nice fats accompanying. The skin was a nice flaky crisp, and full of fragrance as well. The sauce was mild and sweet, and went well with the unctuous pork.
My verdict was that it was not bad at all.
We are indeed lucky to have Max’s as a casual restaurant that we can go any time, but like a casual chain restaurant, I feel that the food is just so-so.
The staff were nice and efficient and they had a system to deal with the large number of patrons. The food was served hot and the fried chicken was indeed nice and tasty – jolly good!
Rice and strips of tender pork belly in adobo sauce wrapped in banana leaf. Sweet and savoury and just a tiny bit smokey with pepper. This was pretty good.
Jollibee Suntec City makes the popular fried chicken easily accessible to those working in the CBD as well as shoppers visiting the mall.
A fair lechon. The meat was slightly tough and dry, and porky. The skin, although crispy, was quite thick and thus harder to bite through.
Gotta come back another time to see what else is good.
All in all, this was an interesting meal that we had never tried before.
