This food court has plenty of stalls, but seems quite hard to figure out which stalls are good. Fried Carrot Cake is acceptable, Tuck Kee's Loh Shu Fun is okay (wondering if this is Tuck Kee from..
Medan Selera Everyday Foodcourt Wantan Mee taste good but it could be better if they are more generous with the portion of the char siew. If you are not into wantan mee, there are many other food stalls available at Medan Selera Everyday Foodcourt Puchong.
Coffee okay, fried prawn noodle and pork noodle also okay. Curry puff not nice.
Have a taste of the local delicacy in this food court, with varieties from more than 20 stalls, you’ll never go hungry. This episode we will bring you in the...
I ordered Braised Duck Rice, while others ordered TomYum Vermicelli, Lamb Chop etc. We also ordered Rojak, Satay and Oyster Omelette to share. I shared my braised duck rice with Nicholas. He enjoyed it pretty much. I am not really a fan of 'cinnamon' and found that the cinnamon flavour in the braised duck is overwhelming.
Sarawak Mee Pok, Dry Pan Mee and Coffee are average.
A little bit oily but nice, good enough for me.
Most popular stall here seems to be Fish Head Noodle (RM 13). Good tasty chunks of fish meat, and I enjoy the soup and noodle as well. Coffee is quite cheap (RM 1.70)
The dry ramen with minced meat (RM 9) is pretty nice, and it also comes with a fish paste soup. Fried Kway Teow (RM 8.50) is okay. Ice coffee (RM 1.70) is okay.
Duck Noodles (RM8.50) I was reluctant at first but I eventually gave in when the duck noodles came. I was greeted by the fragrance of the herbal essence soup and instead of using any other noodles, they used mee suah (wheat vermicelli), which I think suited the soup the most because mee suah efficiently absorbs the flavour of the soup.
This is an all-day vegetarian food court.
The outdoor dining area is with a high ceiling roof top and good ventilation, and looks clean as well as generally follows good social distancing guidelines.
As mentioned earlier, everything here is on the high side of pricing and much more expensive than even their neighbours. Taste wise, they were mostly horrible except for the Curry Mee. This is based on the three stalls that we tried tonight. Out of four dishes, three were horrible and one was exceptionally good. So, it is not wrong for me to conclude that the food here generally is bad. I most likely may not return here but if I am in the vicinity and perhaps if I am in the mood for some Curry Mee, then and only then, would I come here. Otherwise, this place is a big no for me.
Came here to sample Bentson's special recipe Tomato based soup with Pork noodle, not bad but wasn't too much surprise.
Good Luck Dim Sum stall offers 20+ dim sum choices, I'd say affordable, tasty, and therefore highly recommended.
Medan Selera Primewalk is primarily a halal food center with most if not all Malay vendors offering mostly local Malay food and some Western choices.
Exactly like the Penang version, this bowl of of Penang-style White Curry Mee cost RM6.50. It is is topped with prawns, cockles, tofu pok, long beans and pork blood cubes. We loved how they paid attention to the ingredients by ensuring all the basic Penang-style toppings were there. As you can tell by the picture, this curry mee was freaking delicious. The coconut-enriched curry broth was on the sweeter side and not spicy at all. The slow-cooked dark chili paste adds in so much flavours and aroma to the dish.
Sampling for breakfast today, the Roasted stall which offers both rice and wanton mee.
Chicken rice during lunch is nice. The is some taste to the rice, and the BBQ pork is burn and marinated pretty good (though slightly too fat, and my wife complain of pork smell). Chicken is soft..
Waited 25 minutes for the chicken rice with bean sprouts (RM 8). Taste wise is pretty good and has a big portion, but definitely not as good as Ipoh ones.
Jawa Mee is average.
This food court looks good, clean and plenty of food options. I like the Chee Cheong Fun, the sauce, ingredients and noodles are nice. The Chinese Pulled Noodle has tasty meat and nice broth. Mee..
Limited options during lunch. I like the seating under the trees, though some sunlight do get through. Nasi lemak is quite nice. Bullfrog porridge is okay, and the size and meat is good.
This place seems to serve breakfast and most things could be sold out by lunch time. The fish ball noodle (RM 9) has a special yellow noodle and comes with a nice amount of fish ball and fish cake...
Ice Coffee (RM 3) slightly expensive, but it is pretty good. Prawn Noodle (RM 9) is very flavourful, slight spicy with good portion. Fried Turnip Cake (RM 8.50) is nice as well, with good chunks..
Coffee is RM 2.20, decent taste and price. The Jawa Mee (RM 8) is good, thick sauce, slightly spicy and crunchy crackers. Environment is clean and bright.
The other day I got very hungry and did not bring any food with me. So I made my way to Li Wei @ The Starling and got myself the 3 Combination BBQ Platter (RM27.00). There you go - roasted chicken, char siew and siew yoke. I requested for the leg part of the chicken but was given the breast. The char siew was nice and fatty but the siew yoke was too lean.
There was a good measure of wok hei and the fish slices were fresh, so were the single prawn and small piece of squid. Flavors were good and the portion size was very generous. Yes, I enjoyed this gravy koay teow more than I enjoyed yesterday's curry mee.
So yeah, I like this Li Wei very much and you can bet that I will be visiting again to try the other items on the menu and to revisit my favorites.
