Right after that hearty meal, I had to have my usual Bru Coffee. This too, as always, has been really good and my rating for this shall also be 9/10.
Mutton Masala Thosai @ RM 9.80 The Mutton Masala Thosai itself is pretty awesome. The gravy is so thick and it comes with lot's of potatoes. Really amazing stuff and it's so good to even have it on it's own. If you;re one who loves mutton, this is a must try dish. My rating for this shall be 9/10.
This is the first time that I am trying their Mutton Fried Rice and I found it to be quite impressive. For RM 12.50 , the portions were huge and they were very generous with the mutton. The Fried Rice was spicy and it has some very bold flavours. Being a mutton fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and my rating for this dish shall be 8/10.
What we like about the rojak here is the fresh ingredients and the sauce is not too spicy. A rojak that you can enjoy the taste when the sauce is not too spicy.
Finally, our Cendol arrived and we were eager to taste the famous Cendol in Kajang. Sadly, it was a huge let down. They had cut back on the ingredients and it did taste pretty awful. I wonder how this Cendol had become so famous when it's just not there taste wise. My rating for this shall be 4/10. I don't think I would ever return for their Cendol.
Their Mutton Varuval was another excellent preparation. Lean cuts were served and it came with some bones since I had requested for it. The mutton was so tender and the overall dish was very tasty. My rating for this shall be 9/10.
Thannichaar and Pumpkin Perattal are two of my favourites and seeing both of them this afternoon, I just could not resist. Both the items were perfect and I just could not find a flaw to comment on. My rating for both shall be 9/10.
The vegetables that they served this afternoon were Potato Perattal, Cabbage Perattal, Pumpkin and Long Beans. All the vegetables tasted really good and very much home cooked taste. The winner among these were the Potato Perattal and Pumpkin. These two, I would rate them at 9/10 and the other two, I would give them 8/10
Their Masala Vadai was good as well. Crispy on the outside, non greasy and loaded with spices. Do note that this is slightly on the spicy sideandmay not be suitable for those who can't palate spicy food. For me, being one who loves spicy food, it was a treat and my rating for this shall be 9/10.
Their Chicken Perattal was heavenly. I loved it so much as it was on the spicy side and the gravy was just fantastic. The Chicken chunks were perfectly done too. This definitely deserves a rating of 9/10.
Their Ayam Masak Pedas was pretty good and I found the portion to be huge, way more than those Kelantanese restaurants and their prices were reasonable. In fact, it would have been good for me to solely order one dish and have just that with rice. The mix of ingredients were decent and I really enjoyed this preparation. My rating for this shall be 8/10.
After having had many bad experiences, I only have been coming here for their drinks and I was surprised to find these newly introduced Nasi Lemak packets. Being one that is bold to try anything once, I decided to go for it. Surprisingly, it was good. The Sambal was spicy, not too salty and the rice itself was tasty. In summary, I wouldn't mind having this again. If I were to rate this, I would give it 8/10.
Their Crab that came in some thick gravy was heavenly. Seriously, the gravy was drinkable. It was that good, perfectly balanced spices and the crab too was so juicy and delicious. 10/10 would be my rating for this
The Fried Tenggiri Fish was excellent. It was freshly fried on request and we get to choose the cuts. The marination was good and the fish was crispy on the outside and hot and juicy on the inside. 9/10 would be my rating for this.
Their Petai Sambal was nice. It was fresh and the beans were not overdone. Flavours were decent too. My rating for this preparation would be 8/10
