This place is still very popular after so many years. The Fried Chicken Nasi Kandar (RM 15) has really crispy chicken with 5 types of curry. You will feel guilty having this too often, and it is..
The fried chicken rice is okay, but the mutton is just too fat. The food is decent, but not something worth coming from far just to sample.
One of the very few nasi kandar stalls that’s operated by Chinese, it’s still a pork free affair with great taste and those crispy bits, price isn’t any chea...

必吃印度餅【Pelita Nasi Kandar】Roti Telur
Korang memang tau kan kat sini memang terbaek nasi kandar dier!
Ayam kicap ni pelik sebab memang hitam legam. Akupun tak tau dia guna cikap cap apa.
The roti here is nice, our favourite are Tosai Masala and Roti Special. Satay is decent, but not above average.
Food still good. Satay, Tosai Rawa and Maggi Goreng.
Roti special still good, and fried Maggi mee pretty good too.
The average for a pax is RM14 – RM18! I normally pair my banana leaf with two or three meat dishes to share! 😍👍🏻 Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family for its great taste and affordable pricing! 🤗
I at like a pig 🙂 Yup, I did. The chicken Varuval was one of a kind. I think they added some mysterious spice into it, it tasted different from most of the other varuvals I’ve tasted. Different in a very appealing way. Yummm! The Chicken 65 was the usual pieces of fried chicken meat. Yummy. The prawns were awesome. It had an equal mix of sweet and spicy. Delicious and they do give you a generous portion of prawns, not just a few pieces with loads and loads of gravy – the kind you would get in many Indian restaurants. The vegetables were delicious, they also have acar if you guys are interested. Rasam came soon after with a cup of Thairu/Mooru/ Yogurt?
As much as one would want to keep this place secret, it’s also the kind of place you cannot help but bring a friend, just so they too can…
Decent banana leave rice.
The roti kosong is neither fresh or crispy, the fried donut and curry puff is okay. Most people come here for the banana leaf rice.
Over the years, Kanna has grown very popular to the point that either the fame got into their head or they got haters. People started saying how the prices have gone up, the portion's gotten smaller, the quality isn't as good anymore. While that's true of the PJ branch, this is my first visit to the Puchong branch so I could only comment on the price. It is indeed slightly pricier than normal. The veggies are standard dishes. You get the taste of the spices in them. Curry was spicy. Rice was hot.
I like the Thosai here.
The nasi kandar is OK.
Indian Rice Meal + Chicken Briyani , 23 ringgit The briyani was tasty. The rice was fragrant and moist. I like briyani rice that are dense, moist because then, you do not always have to add on curry/gravy. Having it on its own allows you to truly appreciate its taste. The chicken and the rice is all cooked together in one big pot.If the rice is moist and dense, imagine the chicken. It literally falls off the bone, I had no trouble peeling off the meat. It was yummy.
Day to day had been in business for almost 8 years. If you are staying around this small little garden surrounded by trees, crows and constant noise pollution coming from KESAS highway, most likely…
As a summary, I feel that the food here is fantastic. They all had home cooked taste and none of the dishes tasted like commercial dishes. Do note that food finishes pretty fast here. Even today, we were here at 12.30 noon and even at that time, some of the items were already finishing and they were contemplating if they should top up. Can't blame them as they are relatively new to the restaurant business. So, if you want a good spread to choose from, best to be here around 12 noon. Definitely a place that I would recommend. Food is good, service is fast and the prices are reasonable.
Okay, on to the food now. Food was really good. Their briyani came in a generous portion, as you’d be able to see in the image above, a lot of rice and a large, juicy chicken thigh. It was delicious. The rice had enough flavors and spice in it that having to have it with curry or gravy is not necessary. The chicken, there was a lot of meat on it, the kind of ‘a lot’ that was enough to last you till the last mouth – with is a rarity these days. I’d certainly give this dish a go again.
Best Indian food in Puchong. Chapatti is nice, Naan a bit rubbery. Aloo Jeera and Mughalai Chicken are good.
Satisfying curry with Naan.
Still serve good puri.
Decent place for cendol and rojak in Puchong.
Decent mamak. Food is tasty.
That Sambal Chicken, as they call it, is a must try … although to us, Chilli Chicken would be a more accurate name. Whatever it is , if you see a chicken dish that is red-ish in color – please do give it a go. It may look like it is super spicy but it is not. It was a perfect equilibrium between spicyness and sweetness. A dish that would otherwise have been packed with heat was taken down a notch with some of those sweetness. It was an awesome addition to the banana leaf. Sooo good.
Big Singh Chapati finally landed in Puchong, and it maintain the same quality as its SS 15 branch (they move some of their staff here). I love their lunch set from RM 8.90 to RM 18+, plus RM 2 for..
Teh Tarik is not bad, roti canai okay-ish, and sweet appam is surprisingly good.
