The banana leaf set (MYR 7.90 nett) consists of rice, 3 vegetables dishes, papadum and curry gravy (not shown in the above photo). That piece of mackerel fish costs MYR 8.50 nett and is acceptable though not as tasty as the one here. Overall, a nice meal so I will be back for lunch (dine-in).

Man, the fried tenggiri fish is da bomb. Do give it a try if you haven’t already. The price of the fish varies according to the size of the fish, so if you want a bigger piece of fish, do head on over to the frying pan and choose the fish you’d want them to fry for you. This seriously is delicious. If I was not watching my calories, I would order another one. The chicken varuval was equally as yummy. Usually, you would get quite a lot of bones accompanying the meat, as in the bits and pieces that accompanies the dish on a plate, sometimes you would get meat and some times bones. The bones kindda makes up a whole piece, with no meat on it. Here though, every piece has meat on it. Yay!

One of the signature (and popular) dishes here is the Nasi Ayam (RM55), aka chicken rice. Guests can opt for either roasted or poached chicken. We went for the roasted chicken and I was impressed by the generous portion that arrived. Tastewise, the chicken was tender and comes with three different dipping sauce - chilli, ginger and sweet soy sauce. The rice was pretty good too, as it was fragrant and flavorful. Overall, a pretty authentic rendition of a Malaysian favourite.

3 tiny hoppers, 2 cocktails came up to RM126. Not even kidding you, these aren't fancy food that's worth RM126. Without the cocktail it would be fairly more reasonable. Will I return again? Perhaps yes - but I'll be more careful with the choices, no more peppered goat and cocktails. Honestly, it is very difficult to for us to have the urge to return if us consumers don't feel the value we are paying for. Nevertheless, something that's worth the credits - this idea is very interesting and very Instagram-friendly.

Murgh Bombay Bohri Briyani, 50 ringgit. This was delicious yawwwwww. The rice was moist and soft + tender bits of chicken scattered all over and contrary to the usual, I did not even need to add gravy in. The moistness and softness + spices and flavor from the briyani rice was just right that there was no need to add on gravy in hopes of adding flavor. No need at all. I decided to be adventurous and indulge in the Ceylonese version of thosai. It was fresh out of the stove, warm, thick and fluffy. If you like your thosai thin and crispy, you best inform them of your preference when you order. I loved it. Tastewise, it tasted like a usual egg thosai except for perhaps some additional flavors. Some spices perhaps?? I usually do not like my thosai thick but it somewhat works here. It felt like I was eating a pancake, an Ceylonese pancake and the egg, ooo that was fluffy too. Yummm! The dish came with a side of fish curry and grated, fried coconut? I do not know what that coconut dish is called but I assume it is a common, staple Sri Lankan dish as every other Ceylonese restaurant I’ve been to serve this this as a side. It was flavorful, I finished it within 5 minutes and requested for a refill 🙂
