we concluded the meal, relishing in yet another happy dining experience at Wine And Chef.
Very ordinary squid ink pasta – I couldn’t taste the uni in the sauce at all.

Monte Risaia Omakase Dinner Review by Chubby Botak Koala, Japanese Italian inspired Restaurant Singapore, Best Japanese Italian Food Singapore,
Monte Risaia is a cosy Japanese Italian Restaurant in Duxton Road for affordable Japanese-Italian fusion omakase.
With them serving fresh, authentic and delightful pasta, we had finally found a place to fix our cravings.
The food is anchored in some sense of authenticity and food mavericks looking to guard their bottom dollar - go wild.
Although Pastaria Abate was self service eatery, the price was considered reasonable.
The portions weren't big, but it transported well, and was a great deal either way, which means that we'll order from them again.
In most aspects, Beurre is an ideal dining spot for a fine-casual meal, date nights or small group gatherings. The dishes are unique in its own ways, and prices are relatively affordable for the Bukit Pasoh/Keong Saik enclave.
Overall, definitely a place to return to, affordable quality food with lovely service.
All in all, it was a disappointing visit. I paid $244 for all the above and a bottle of red wine after a 25% discount through the entertainer app. The food and service could really use some work.
Homely Italian restaurant in Amoy Street, satisfying food and it is best not to go solo at Solo Ristorante. Italian food is best shared.
the food is not inexpensive, it is value-for-money as the quality of the food and the well-executed dishes make me want to return.
The Garganelli, an egg pasta typically found in Romagna in Northern Italy, is cooked to perfection and slathered with Pecorino, Parmigiano, and black pepper. This was then topped with a shower of freshly shaved pecorino. The amount of cheesiness and the heat from the black pepper were well-balanced in this dish. This was excellent!
Yes, it was good. The dough on the tortelli above was nice and firm, enveloping a velvelty smooth pumpkin filling, all while being coated in butter and sage.
Yes, it was good.
Overall, the prices are really affordable compared to the astronomical flavours that the dishes provide. If you want to visit, do call days in advance to book for weekdays and for weekends, call wayyyy in advance.
If you are looking for a good place to wind down on Friday night after work, Pasta Brava comes highly recommended (reservations are necessary). The prices are similar to other Italian eateries along the Bukit Timah/Holland/Orchard belt but the quality of the food is probably one of my favorites in Singapore.
The prices here are what you’d expect from a good Italian restaurant, but the food here is definitely better than most. It is simple, hearty and very tasty.
I also tried the Cacio e Pepe at Bar Cicheti This was the half portion! Just nice for a small eater like me
Clearly we are won over by Bar Cicheti and a revisit is most definitely on our cards.
All in all, there are some hits and misses but I would return for their crab meat pasta.
Mozza Restaurant and Bar Review by Chubby Botak Koala, Mozza Italian Centric Restaurant, Italian Char-grilled Singapore, 48 hours fermented pizza,
Food at Bottega Di Carna is modern Italian fine dining cuisine, with a focused menu comprising use of gourmet ingredients. No surprise that meat is a highlight, with exquisite aged cuts of beef flame-kissed by their josper grill. Handmade pastas and inventive appetizers round it out. Portions are sized for individuals but can be shared. Prices are relatively high, budget about SGD $97 per person for a meal with drinks here.
Beautiful dining space and a communal-style menu, Bottega di Carna is best suited for group gatherings in my opinion. The dishes I had are overall quite good, and I do see this as a popular “meating” spot in Duxton going forward.

Service was superbly attentive and considerate that I didn't even have to signal when to bring out cake lol!
All in all, it was a day of a hit and misses. Another thing we felt was missing was that despite its name, we did not feel that we were in Italy. The sense of warm hospitality that Italian restaurants are known for was something we missed.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Griglia where the dishes are excellent. This is a restaurant suitable for couple dates or a small group gathering where you have the luxury of trying more dishes on the menu.
6 reviews of Senso Ristorante & Bar "The restaurant is pretty and nicely decorated. It is a good place for a date or other special events. The Italian food is superb! I would recommend a few including lamb ribs, squid ink pasta and tiramisu.…

this place offers a good satisfying meal when there is good discounts. food is good standard if not spectacular..service is always good.
dishes were good restaurant standard and very good serving size and service was outstanding.
Seafood is their strength at Burlamacco and I look forward to checking out other dishes too.
Tried their lamb chops. Medium doneness turned out more like medium well.
The thing which we found disappointing was their shrimp and zucchini fritto.
The menu has a wide-enough range for a table's different preferences and the food's decent enough for us to hop by if we want a simple pizza and a cold beer.
I'm not sure if I tried the signature or right dishes, but I will come back for the weekday set lunch someday!
There was no dramatic smoke or exotic ingredients like sea urchin in our $48 lunch at Nicolas Le Restaurant. But it was good straightforward food, delivered with friendly service in a comfortable setting.
The dude behind La Bottega Enoteca has a home delivery service for his pizzas, and he also has a physical store where they can serve you those products on-site through the end of the year (8 Ann Siang Hill).

No space for the pasta and desserts this time, and I am definitely keen to return for them, and also to try the other pizza flavours. Great spot to suss out if you are a pizza lover. I also did not manage to try any wines this time, though I saw that there is a wide range of Italian wines on the menu.
