At S$38 (US$29), this thing was not cheap. But I saw my teammate ordering this at Ichinoji yesterday and for some reason I couldn’t get the thought of those scallops out of my head, so I came down to give it a try.
I'm really enjoying that restaurants in Singapore are always refreshing their menus with seasonal items because it means foodies like us will always have something new to look forward to every few months.
For the months of July and August 2019, dine at the restaurant and enjoy the following promotions: 10% off any unagi items Unagi Day: 27 July 2019 20% off any unagi items
Food at Dashi Master Marusaya remains traditional Japanese cuisine, focused on soups, stews, and small bites, with the highlight being the house dashi stock. Fresh premium ingredients are used, resulting in dishes that are tasty, hearty, wholesome, and healthy. Portions are sized for communal group dining, and sharing remains encouraged. Prices are pegged at a premium, budget about SGD $50 per person.
We enjoyed our return dining experience at Dashi Master Marusaya, and will be back for more. Those who love hearty Japanese hot pot dining will love Dashi Master Marusaya as well.
Overall, it is great to be back at Dashi Master Marusaya. The food remains impressive and we like the enhanced version of the dashi broth.
Overall, it was a great meal and a nice experience returning to Ten Sushi. The food is always good and their new ramen is just comforting.
I especially enjoyed the Japanese Fresh Oysters (Sakoshi Bay Oysters), Unagi Eel Roll, and Deluxe Ten Assorted Sashimi Deluxe.
Nirai-Kinai is a place specializing in Okinawan cuisine. It used to be located at Liang Court before it moved to Great World when Liang Court was demolished.
To be honest, I’m still salty over the fact that my family’s plans to visit Okinawa a few years ago fell through, especially since the global pandemic has forced everyone’s borders shut.
The environment is casual and welcoming with approachable staff.
Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice but you can see not much crowd even during the busy dinner period. I decided to visit the restaurant due to the tantalising visuals I saw online but sadly the food served was not up to standards and some items were mediocre. The overall service was ok but most of the time difficult to get attention from the servers so it gets frustrating.
At Amazing Hokkaido, their yakitori is a must, making for great sides to share on the table.
Amazing Hokkaido is proud to announce its brand-new individual seafood hotpot set!
9 reviews of Yakiniku Yazawa "Our new favourite yakiniku joint. The meats were exquisite, even if the meat-centric menu was decidedly limited. Unlike Aburiya, Gyu Kaku or Ito-Kacho, there isn't a variety of seafood, or vegetables to break up the…
From the presentation of raw beef on our table, we were amazed at the marbling, colour and freshness of the beef served. Service is great here! Staffs were attentive to our needs. All beef cuts only require a few seconds on each side and it is ready to be eaten. Be AMAZED the moment your taste buds get into contact with the beef.
It's really hard to beat Yakiniku Yazawa in serving high quality yakiniku.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Slices of buri and chutoro they served were nice. Both fishes were fatty.
I don't know the difference between the first try at Shunjuu and this one.
Despite my dislike of mayo, the complimentary lobster salad was pretty delicious.
Food at Issho Izakaya is Japanese cuisine. Ingredients are average and quality of execution can sometimes be poor. They're known for carrying over 70 labels of liquour, great for drink pairing. Portions are sized for communal group dining or for individuals. Prices are relatively high, budget about SGD $70 per person.
we love both the bibimen and kimchi chigae here.
we all love the bibimen & the bibimbap too.
it has good ingredients, good serving of kimchi & a bit of belly pork. very nice soup. we enjoyed dinner like always.
Simple and delicious, nothing overly fancy; we will be back for more.
Being one of those who enjoy plated desserts, House on the Moon is indeed a place that we enjoyed during our visit, and a space that we had least expected to find in a shopping mall.
Pleasantly surprised by their spaghetti bolognese.
this really excellent omakase!
The Place Located in the basement of Great World City, Haku Sushi is a new Japanese Omakase restaurant where their Omakase menu starts from S$68++, a value for money price point in Singapore’s dini…
午间套餐价格由每人$68 - $185,晚间套餐价格分别为$185及$220,另有omakase菜单,定价为$300-$400。
Michelin Bib Gourmand listed restaurant offering quality and refined yakitori. The tsukune had cartilage within, providing a nice variation in texture, and was salted just nice. The chicken was a bit white, but well seasoned and smoky. The cartilage was crunchy, windpipe crispy, and liver creamy. Interesting stuff.
Overall, Teppan Bar Q definitely served a scintillating and delicious teppanyaki. The ingredients used are fresh and the skill of the chef is just top notch.
The overall dining experience here was lovely, opening up our palates to some interesting dishes.
The best thing at our lunch at &JOY Dining Hall @ Great World was the cold draft Suntory beer ($11). It will go well with most of the food available in this food hall.
That said, the noodles were a bit overcooked and the egg was a tad sweet. Plus, tonkotsu just seems so last-century. But I am kinda curious about that tomato bowl on their menu.
Pittarino is one of those stalls at &JOY that I've held off on trying. But I randomly saw an advertisement about Neapolitan pizza tonight, which made me think about coming here for a quick bite.
An affordable teppanyaki experience to check out which serves up very decent quality. This is by no means fine-dining, but you can be assured of good quality beef at the minimum.
