I find the chicken cutlet extremely oily and jelak that I only managed to stomach one piece. It did not help that there is only half a wedge of lemon to cut through all the grease.

Petite in size, but big in flavour, Ah Tan Wings are dangerously addictive. Shrimp paste chicken that is surf and turf exemplified, uniting the best of the sea and the land in one crispy celebration.
I had a hard time finishing the broth given how porky tasting it was. Nonetheless, it's really a steal for S$7.90 and should the ramen craving strike again, i would likely go with the chef recommended tonkotsu gyokai ramen which is a mix of fish and pork broth.
Suparakki Ramen is cheap and accessible.
Though the seating area may get a bit cramped, we definitely wouldn’t mind coming back for such affordable and delectable ramen bowls.
I guess many people visit Monster Curry for the gigantic plates of Japanese curry rice and although they continue to be a draw for me; i am honestly more infatuated with their honey toasts!
Almost all cleaned up! Next time, i think it would be safer for me to go with their jumbo ebi curry!
It tasted more like your usual nabe rather than the bean-heavy taste of a savory doujiang, especially since this was much saltier. But you could still taste the beans when sipping it. I don't think I'll order it again, but I'm glad that I tried it.
Would i be back again? Oh well, i would need to spend my S$77 worth of vouchers. And it does seem like my parents did enjoy their mix mabushi teishoku.
I went for the latter; the snow crab was delicately sweet and tender, but there wasn't much of it to go around. The taste also got covered up by everything else in there, including all of the mabushi garnishes. I won't order it again, but at least it was healthy and reasonably priced.
But it was still refreshing enough for me to inhale those skinny noodles quickly.
Here's a recent addition to YAYOI's menu: steamed veggies and thin shabu shabu meat along with ponzu and goma dips. It tastes like it sounds: lean and satisfying (for me, at least), especially since it's sold at a bargain price of just S$13.90 (US$10.25), excluding the natto that I added to the plate.
Recommended by Eatbook.sg. The sashimi in the bara chirashi was fresh, and the crispy bits interesting and flavourful. The mango salmon ebi roll came together very well, with the mango sauce not overly sweet, and complementing the torched salmon and crispy fried ebi nicely. Good stuff.
In fact, as a Northie, I can even see myself coming back in future for another serving of their aburi salmon.

Tried out Kei Kaisendon at Sembawang Shopping Center with a Burpple deal (some decent deals there). They have many branches throughout Singapore The Signature dish, full of sashimi and seafood.
Sushi Mentai not only offers not only quality dishes but also at very wallet-friendly prices. They stay true to their mission. The only pity is that they only have one outlet at Yishun currently.
1 review of Sushi Mentai "The sushi outlet was the first outlet in Singapore. It was located in a neighbourhood mall. The outlet was decorated in a no frills style. The place was packed with family crowds. It was well known for its conveyor belt…
This is not the best of the hawker-style Japanese Ramen that I had tasted, though this is likely to be the cheaper in Singapore for shoyu ramen.
