Hidangan Idaman Sekeluarga @ Big Apple Restaurant (7pm to 10pm) Price : RM129nett per adult, RM59nett per child (27-29 April & 20-22 May 2020) RM139nett per adult, RM69nett per child (30 April - 19 May 2020)
The Signature Hokkien Mee, 14.20 ringgit was delicious. It was packed with pork meat and lard. Literally filled with it and real greasy – the criterias to a good hokkien mee, lol. Yum Yum!
精明消费的我必选猪扒蛋饭,因只需加RM1就附上一杯香浓顺滑且不涩的澳门奶茶,好满足!
[Halal] We finally checked out this establishment for their famous dish – Dancing Fish. The presentation is very cool – the fish really looks like it is dancing/jumping.
DF Appetizer Platter (RM 49.80) comes to our favorite where the platter is packed with their signature items which includes their charcoal – grilled Chicken Satay, Cumi Cumi Tahu Bakar with the Spicy Peanut Rujak Sauce, Seafood Sate Lilit and Spicy Green Apple Salad with Salted Fish. The platter is just awesome where they are packed with flavors as well.
Overall, I liked this establishment alot. It has a quirky and interesting vibe to it. The food is funny, in a good way, and for the prices that you pay, its some real bang for your buck.
On a personal Burnt Cheese Cake (RM 16) is dessert that we found it to be special. We were told it was a housemade, and the definition burnt introduced a slight pleasant caramelized taste into the rich and dense cheese cake. A piece of wonder to enjoy. It is noted half of the cake was grabbed by customers when it is being put on selling tray.
Order South China Sea as it seems crowds favorite @ RM 36. Serve with 63 degree poached egg, housemade hash and salsa. Quite a huge chunk of salmon that is serve, looks great in the picture. It is under season, quite pale in flavour and overcook too. Mix of salsa is a bit confusing, filled with apple, capsicum and the fried hash that looks like being fried in a long serving oil that gives such colour and quite at the base plate. I try to finish my salmon, and I guess I gave up along the way. Turns out to be quite disappointing.
Purple and white corn from Janda Baik are the stars of this dish. Sweet and crunchy, the corn kernels are tossed with Spanish air dried beef shards, charred local vine tomatoes, a hint of sambal aioli and garnished with Asam pedas salt for a burst of flavours.
In sum, Tapestry scores all the right points for lovely ambiance, thoughtfully melded West-meet-East menu, and brunch food that is actually enjoyable. We all enjoy a good surprise, and Tapestry is definitely one in our books – it is probably one of the best brunch places KL has to offer at the moment for something cozy and inventive at the same time.
Reasons to visit Tapestry Dining Chow Kit: local produce, modern flavours on the grill; stylish setting; there was not a dish we tried tonight that we didn’t like – if forced to narrow an order though – don’t miss the Zucchini Barramundi Otak-Otak and Sarawakian Native Job’s Tears “Risotto.”
One of the places which ambience I enjoy a lot would be Serena Brasserie at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur….And the chefs at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur are all ready to take you on a trip down memory lane with their nostalgic Warisan Kita spread there at Serena Brasserie, from 3 April – 1 May 2022….

Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng menawarkan pilihan sama ada roasted atau steamed. Lepas tu bagitau siap-siap bahagian apa kita nak. Harga lain-lain, tapi semua lebih RM10. Berbaloi dengan kualiti dia. Mahal pun tak apa, janji makan sedap. Sup dia tak rasa ajinomoto sangat. Saya siap mintak tambah saja nak buat hirup.
Nasik ayam adalah salah satu makanan feveret org Malaysia. Sbb nya nyaman, cepat & murah! So now kita nak try makan nasik ayam kat Chee Meng yg terletak di J...
Verdict: I really had high expectation on the chicken rice as hubby raved about how good it was a few years back. As far as the food was concerned, the chicken rice was just alright and it would be hard to be convinced for a revisit.
a modern Malaysian restaurant with courses inspired by ingredients from all over Malaysia.
Modern Malaysian restaurant Beta delights with a new menu inspired by the country’s rich cuisine and terroir.
Reasons to try the Tour of Malaysia menu at Beta KL: an exceptional and exciting dining experience celebrating wonderful local ingredients; expert technique and preparation; I recommend going the whole hog; loved the fish main, and if you are an adventurous cocktail drinker, sign up for that pairing too.
The food are Southern American and Lousiana food. It was rare for Lousiana buffets so it was different food on the counter compared to the rest of the other hotel buffets.
There will also be grilled fish such as Ikan bakar Sabah, Talapia Merah and Ikan Cencaru served with various dipping sauces.
The Festive Feast at The Cobalt Room on Level One will be available from 8 to 31 May between 6.30pm to 10pm. It is priced at MYR118 nett per adult and MYR59 nett per child 12 years and below
Hornbill Restaurant & Cafe. Terletak dekat Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur
Chicken Chop (MYR 29.90) The slab of succulent meat was tenderly done with flavourful marinade, accompanied by savoury black pepper sauce.
Chicken Satay (a dozen/12 pieces), 26.90 ringgit. The satay was pretty good and it came with two options – beef and chicken, I ordered the latter. The satay was yummy mostly because of the peanut sauce. I like eating the chicken bits on its own before dunking it into the peanut sauce because I usually find it being glazed with a thin layer of sweet sticky flavorful gravy but that was not the case here. Here, the chicken on its own does not come with additional flavor, just plain ol roast chicken? but when you dunk it into the peanut sauce – then it becomes da bomb! A lil sweet, a lil crunchy, a lil chewy and plenty of flavor. Yummy!
Go for it to fill the stomach or for nostalgic sake.
这么样的搭配,3菜2粥总共是 RM23,个人觉得价格应该还算可以。粥方面煮得不错,米粒还是保有口感,水和粥的比例也很不错,吃起来很舒服。
They tasted pretty good too! For the three of us on a late night supper a week or so ago, we spent about RM 8-9 per person including drinks. Not the cheapest supper nor the healthiest, but I’d say it beats mamak restarant any day.
Being a Michelin awarded restaurant. De.Wan restaurant is must try restaurant. Not only will i try it but i will definitely come back for more food in future, maybe to try out other De.Wan outlet. In terms of price, it is a little expensive but it is all worth it considering the good service, big serving portion, nice environment and tasty food. It is worth every single cent paid.
Reasons to visit De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan: family recipes not often found in restaurants in KL; OTT décor (love it); must order the Nasi Lemak Pandan, Kerabu Mee Hoon Nyonya Bunga Telang and Johor Laksa.
For the coming Chinese New Year celebration, for a change, why not take the family or have a friends gathering to savour Malay cuisine? At De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, there are CNY Set Menus for group dining, for groups of 8-10 pax at RM1,388 & RM1,688 and a bigger set at RM1,888 for 10-12 pax.
One of the local inspired cocktail is :Petai Cocktail. YUP! PETAI! “Stinkini @ RM 35 pickled petai, gin, vermouth. I was like whatttt.???!!! Decided to give it a try and it blew me away. I am not a fan of petai but this cocktail is another level. A well balance of mix with hint of fermented petai that brings the aroma right at the end. PERFECT PERFECT! – Recommneded!
This is one of the must try here. The Ah Ran Sani brings you with a twist of rice balls where you can enjoy you can have the iconic Nasi Lemak flavors stuffed into rice balls & deep fried for deliciousness, served with anchovy mayo. Each mouthful is packed with the bursting light spiciness and yet aromatic blend of Malaysia taste in it.
Jackfruit Rendang Bao is a perfect substitute for meat. The stringy texture of jackfruit is very similar to meat, and when cooked rendang-style, tastes almost like beef – all wrapped in pillowy-soft mantou buns.
Nasi Lemak Wanjo since 1963 @ Kampung Baru, KL
Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kampung Baru, has been around since 1963 serving one of the best Nasi Lemak in Kuala Lumpur. Located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this delicious amazing local traditional dish leaves patrons coming back for more every time
A basic plate of Nasi Lemak with Fried/Hard-boiled eggs, cucmber, peanuts, ikan bilis is RM4-00. Patrons add on other dishes according to their preferences or budget.
We also shared the Mee goreng Muthu (RM9.90), their version of the mee goreng mamak. Served piping hot, the fried yellow noodles was moist and full of flavour. Usually, the one we have at our local mamak only has tofu and vegetables, but this comes with prawns and sliced chicken too. An excellent plate of noodles!
Total price - MYR 37.40 nett inclusive of a takeaway fried chicken leg (MYR 7.70 nett - the fried chicken is very tasty).
Priced at RM 188++ per adult and RM 84++ per child for the Christmas Dinner on 24th Decemner 2019 from 6:30pm-11:00pm.

ATAS Modern Malaysian Eatery creates its own contemporary narrative based on great local produce. Taste familiar flavours and ingredients weaved into new and exciting forms that feels right at home on an international level.
Overall, ATAS @ The Ruma is a perfect place to dine. Not just they have an absolute delicious menu, but they also the ambiance is so nice and just like home.
Reasons to check out what could possibly be the Best Brunch in KL 2020: high-quality recipes made from the freshest seasonal ingredients; an excellent balance of proteins and whole plant-based foods; gracious staff; stylish setting.
Baba Low’s original restaurant is in Tengkera, Melaka and this is the second branch they have in KL. The other branch is actually nearby at Lorong Kurau. What we like about this place is the fast service, affordable prices and simple but delicious Nyonya food.
This popiah wrapper (skin) is very similar to a pancake or crepe because it is doughy, soft and much thicker than the usual thin popiah skin. My friend cannot get used to it and so she removed the skin from 3 segments and left them uneaten. I finished my popiah because I like to eat doughy pancakes. The jicama is cooked with fermented soybeans paste (taucu) as I found some fermented soybeans in the roll. I am ok with this popiah but will not order it again because I don't like the jicama that is too soggy.
My half eaten cendol with my newly served Nyonya Curry Laksa at MYR 8.50 nett. We requested for Mee Hoon (Rice vermicelli) only and I like that the Mee Hoon is very, very soft so that it soaks all the creaminess of the curry broth.
Great Company & Good Value ~ Practically sums up my lovely evening at Golden Valley
So, one of my favourite dishes from Golden Valley is their famous chilli crabs, so imagine my delight when I heard that the crabs were available for delivery too! Priced at RM160 per kg, each crab weighs around 600g and comes with complimentary 6 pieces of mantao. It was absolutely fantastic and finger licking good; the boy loved the big meaty, sweet claws and the sauce was just as amazing as we remembered it. We loved it..best chilli crab in KL! Highly recommended!
Cakes and Bakes are the highlights of the Cafe, enjoyed the light afternoon lunch and Tim's Teapot Terrance is definitely worth another visit when opportunity arises.
The range of food at Tiffin is very good, even if it wasn’t all quite as nice as it could have been. It’s also impressive to have so many trendy outlets in one place, meaning you can mix and match posh dishes, food court style. I also really liked the decor and setting, so forgive the minor food errors (ie chef choices I didn’t like) somewhat! Worth a go.
Some that caught my eye include The Bao Guys, featuring fluffy mantous sandwiched with everything from fried chicken to braised beef with spicy mala mayo; Taco King and its selection of authentic Mexican tacos; and Olivia’s Deli, which serves Valencian-style paellas. For alcoholic libations, visitors can head to Bar 44, while coffee lovers can indulge in cold brews and lattes from Kopenhagen. Will definitely plan a return visit some time soon!
Would we come back? Yes! We definitely want to come back and check out the other vendors
