3 tiny hoppers, 2 cocktails came up to RM126. Not even kidding you, these aren't fancy food that's worth RM126. Without the cocktail it would be fairly more reasonable. Will I return again? Perhaps yes - but I'll be more careful with the choices, no more peppered goat and cocktails. Honestly, it is very difficult to for us to have the urge to return if us consumers don't feel the value we are paying for. Nevertheless, something that's worth the credits - this idea is very interesting and very Instagram-friendly.

On the other hand, Baby D's favorite was the Duck Spaghetti (RM28) with confit tomato and quinoa. Of course this ain't no ordinary pasta - the duck is braised with spices and wood ear fungus. It tastes just like the braised Hakka pork dish, only this is made with duck since the restaurant is pork-free. The quinoa gives extra texture to the dish and the tomatoes are slowly cooked with assam boi (and the result is amazing, a mini umami bomb).

I had ABC (Mixed shaved ice dessert) only for lunch at MYR 8.50++ (10% service charge and 6% SST = MYR 9.86 nett). I find it delicious because I like the taste of the red rose syrup, vanilla ice cream and all the ingredients such as longan, corn, red beans, peanuts put together. They are also very smart to serve the coconut syrup separately in a small jug without me having to request them to do so. This way, I could adjust the sweetness to my preference. The coconut syrup tastes very strongly of coconut - just like those coconut candy wrapped in colourful transparent foil that we used to eat when young - which my friend does not like because she does not like the taste of coconut.

Salted Egg with Kunyit Sotong, 13 ringgit. However, between the fish and sotong dish – I fancied the ‘sotong’ dish more. The squids were finger licking good. Just like the fish, the it was marinated in turmeric as well and boy was it flavorful. Just look at them ‘sotongs’ , yummmm! It was all crunchy on the outside and all soft and chewy on the inside. Now, this dish, I’d certainly give it another go. It certainly provided me with a burst of flavors. Loved it.

My Personal Opinion I don't know how they could get such a fundamental thing wrong...and that is a bowl of laksa should be served hot! Maybe the workers at this outlet weren't trained properly. Maybe I was just unlucky. Maybe my bowl of laksa was left sitting in the pass for too long before being served. Maybe the worker didn't follow the SOP. I guess I will never know what exactly happened that day. P/S: Just the other day, I was having D'Laksa in Aeon (which I think is way better) and the server accidentally added 'har ko' (shrimp paste) into a customer's bowl (when she didn't want it). The server proceeded to assemble a new one and just threw out the other (I applaud their SOP, not allowing the bowl of laksa to sit at the counter and be compromised in the hope of serving it to another customer). I'm not sure if had they served me a piping hot bowl of assam laksa, my experience would had been any different as the flavours seemed too mild...or was it because the broth wasn't hot enough? I expected my taste buds to be 'tortured' (in a good way) when eating assam laksa...both by its spiciness and sourness....and I didn't get either. >_< I reckon that's pretty much the problem with franchised outlets, some are bound to be better than others. Choose your outlet wisely...kekeke! :P For me, they blew it with their fundamental mistake and I'm afraid there won't be a revisit for me.
