Set Meal: BBQ Pork + Roast Chicken + Vegetables (Bean Sprouts), 14.90 ringgit. This was your usual chicken rice, or rather chicken + pork rice, lol. I guess for a dish that cost 14.90, whatever served on the plate should be more than enough, especially when it comes with vegetables and soup on the side but 4,5 thinly sliced pork meat and 4,5 pieces of roasted chicken did not do it for me. I barely even had the time to decide whether it was good or not before it all disappeared into my tummy. I guess that explains why every table had a big plate of meat on its own because the set simple does not offer enough. As for how it tasted, the chicken rice tasted okay. For me, nothing beats the chicken/pork rice at Meng Kee ( Meng Kee Char Siew @ Shah Alam – One of the Best Char Siew Rice I’ve Tasted. ) There is nothing much I can say to describe chicken rice, lol or how different it is from one and another because they all almost taste similar but yea, the ones at Meng Kee Shah Alam is the bomb. Since I am one of those who eats chicken rice once in a blue moon, when I do get do get down to eating it – I want something really good and for me, good is at Meng Kee, till I discover another restaurant that serves awesome chicken rice.

Nasi Kunyit Served with Curry Chicken (RM 19.50) Not just that, we tried their Nasi Kunyit which is served together with the Curry Chicken. One can taste the fragrant taste of the nasi kunyit. Once, you drenched the creamy coconut-based curry into the rice, they are really good and addictive.
Sotong with Kangkong is a popular street food you can find in town. The dish is simple and easy to make with blanched brown cuttlefish and kangkung but the secret lies in the sauce.
The Nasi Kerabu Baba Fried Chicken (RM17.00), came with a serving of blue rice topped with sweet and spicy coconut sauce, half a hard-boiled salted egg, acar and salad, grated coconut, fish keropok, and fried chicken. The chicken was succulent on the inside, cripsy outside, and the acar added a sour twang to the overall sweet dish.
I had this on last year November, so honestly, I cannot remember the taste of every items of the afternoon tea set but one thing I can safely say is, the food was not on a stellar level. Although the food wasn’t mind blowing, the charming and elegant interior made up for the shortcoming.

Their Nasi Lemak set came with some fragrant coconut milk rice, some Sambal, Fried Anchovies and Peanuts, half a Hard Boiled Egg, some Prawn Sambal and a small piece of Chicken Rendang. Their Coconut Milk Rice was above average. Being a restaurant of class, I definitely expected better quality. Nevertheless, it was still acceptable levels and my rating for this shall be 6/10.
