Verdict: Surprisingly for a Japanese restaurant in hotel, the food isn’t charged with “premium price” that I would have expected. Food wise, we had no complaint on the food that we tried that evening
Dragon roll at MYR 40.28 nett with a deep fried prawn in the middle. One piece each and my friend prefers a similar roll at Yuzu - the .Ebi Avocado maki.
50g of grilled sirloin beef with tomato in rich miso at MYR 88 nett. The beef is served rare so I decided to cook it more. I was quite wary of the gas cylinder. I removed all the slices of tomato and put them on a plate. Then I cooked the slices of beef on both sides slightly and switched off the fire when they are just done. The beef is very tender and delicious!
What do We Like about Sushiya, One Utama? -Fresh and delicious sashimi -Omakase bar for the unique’s view of the chef’s work
Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don with Chawanmushi and Miso RM 48 This is another don we ordered and it is Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don. We know there are many people who are not a fan of sashimi or fresh seafood so this is a good option. Sweet and tasty unagi (eel) with lightly grilled salmon with rice. This also comes with also comes with chawanmushi and miso soup. Overall, we love the food at Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise Isetan One Utama. The sashimi here is very fresh and what you pay is what you get in terms of quality of the food.
Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise One Utama Shopping CentreIchiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise One Utama Shopping Centre offers one of the best sushi and sashimi...
Highlights: Being a meat eater, I enjoyed all of the meat items, especially the smoked duck from the premium counter, the tom yum squid, the black pepper dory and the coffee chicken. The ingredients were fresh and tasty – none of that awful bloody/iron taste you usually get from meat / seafood that have been frozen and thawed countless times. The soup base we picked (milky seafood) was too salty, though. Other than that, no complaints. We ended our meal with ice cream, fresh fruits and pudding for dessert.
BBQ or Hotpot? Why not have both at Seoul Garden? The restaurant chain specialises in Korean-inspired cuisine with a local twist, and offers a variety of veg...
Overall their service is excellent and we didn't wait long for our food. Not sure how's the crowd and waiting time like during their peak hours but the food here is quite good.
The place is pretty, the food is yummy, the price is expensive. The Lavender bakery is still one of my favourites though. I bought the kids these super cute Halloween sugar cookies.
Creamy Mushroom Fettuccine was good. Al-dente spaghetti cooked in creamy sauce and topped with grilled salmon. I really enjoy it. Add on Grilled Salmon RM 10.35/ Creamy Mushroom Fettuccine @ RM 20.75
My friend suggested that we eat at Johnny Restaurant at One Utama for lunch. I have been to Johnny Restaurant in Bukit Bintang Plaza many, many years ago
The taste of the food still tasted like how they were years ago. I remembered I do still frequent them during my college days at the Alpha Angle Shopping Centre. My last visit, I guess was somewhere around in the mid of 2008. However, something worth mentioning is that, they have not raised their price since my college days. Isn't that amazing? Atmosphere: 5/10 Food: 6/10 Price: 7/10 Verdict: Be sure to indulge in to their decent desserts at a very reasonable price!
Nasi Lemak Pandan Chicken Rendang Combo at MYR 15.90+ (10% service charge = MYR 17.40 nett) with a drink of either Celery Apple Honey or Bandung Gula Melaka from the special Merdeka promo menu.
Other than that, we also ordered the ichicabin chicken which was quite nice as well. The chicken is being fried and added with the special sauce that is simply delighting.
The traditional and wholemeal buns as well as half boiled eggs are quite ok. Bread is toasted crunchy and the melting-effect made patrons wanting to order more. They also serve Barley drink.
I ordered Lamb BBQ at MYR 23.90 nett. As usual I kept half the portion for dinner. My friend who tried a few slices of the lamb feels that it is too sweet due to the sauce used to marinate it I guess.
I felt like eating fish so I ordered a Saba set at MYR 20.90+ (6% GST = MYR 22.20 nett). Just need to be careful of the bones near the belly area. As usual, kept half for dinner.
For something a little more indulgent, try the fantastic Lamb BBQ (RM23.90) served with rice. The tender lamb slices are cooked in this amazingly delicious salty-sweet sauce!
If you’re dining at K Fry, it’s best to come in a big group as most of their dishes are designed for sharing, such as their signature Fried Chicken Bumbuk (RM58.90) – juicy boneless fried chicken dipped in Korean sweet and spicy sauce and savoury mozzarella cheese.

Whatever you order, this will be an expensive meal. The Bumbuks are undoubtedly the reason for K Fry’s buzz and are the thing to get. Yes, they’re costly, but it doesn’t make sense to queue up for an hour just to get kimchi fried rice. In this case, you’re paying for an experience that, thankfully, also tastes good. I’m already dreaming of the time when we can go back.
I recently dined at Samtai Yum Cha Dim Sum Halal Food One Utama Shopping Mall. They are located at LG, Foodstreet, 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing) and opposite KFC. They are HALAL certified, famous for their dim sum as well as their Chinese food.
Santai Yamch’a is a modern casual dining restaurant located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre where family and friends can indulge in delicious halal savoury dimsum and a wide range of Malaysian delights in a relaxing and comfortable setting.
Patrons can santai or chill out at Santai Yamch’a Dim Sum Restaurant over a plethora of Halal Dim Sum, Mee Tarik and Rice whenever they step in.
Overall, Wha Rong Mee Tarik and Sichuan Cuisine 1 Utama Shopping Mall offers good food with reasonable pricing. It is hard to find delicious HALAL meet tarik and Sichuan cuisine and Wha Rong Mee Tarik and Sichuan Cuisine 1 Utama Shopping Mall is worth the visit.
Make your way to WHA RONG and give these delicious Sichuan dishes a try!!! You will definitely love it as I did!!
Chinese hot pot or steamboat is increasingly popular in Malaysia hence it’s not surprising to find Demala jumping onto the bandwagon, offering a Halal version to cater to Muslim diners.
Wanted to try a wider variety of items, so I got the Seafood Sampler (RM28+) to share with my colleague. The portion is sizable and contains a generous amount of squid rings, large and juicy whole-fried prawns and fish cutlets. I liked the shrimp and the squid, but not the fish. Ironic, since that is what they’re supposed to specialise in. I wasn’t expecting the fish cutlets to have bones – and it had an overwhelmingly ‘fishy’ smell that indicated to me it wasn’t fresh. Which was a shame, as the seasoning and batter were actually quite nice.
It was a fuss-free noshing in a jiffy with lovely choices of sauces. Fish was chunky fresh and batter not overly thick. Not too bad overall and I look forward to trying out their freshly made inhouse chips soon.
For their classic, I would choose their cheese over their classic Cinnamon, add on cream cheese as it seems do not work for me. Go for their Filling Chu version.
Makanan dia sedap....servis pun cepat...kakitangan pun sangat- sangat friendly.
