It was an underwhelming experience, to put it mildly. So The Great Angmoh was not so great after all.
I might come back from time to time because the coffee here is amazing.
Starting our meal with one of the dish in All Day Breakfast : Pulled Duck Benedict @ RM 29. Slow – cooked Braised Duck Toasted Broiche Organic Poached Egg, Chipotle Hollandaise, Crispy Duck Bits.
The Damansara Uptown bar celebrates five years with a revamped menu that you have to see.
Our night continued with artisanal cocktails at HYDE at 53m, a speakeasy lounge located just upstairs of The Good Batch. Peachy Peachy – Beefeater Gin, Amaro Montenegro, Peach Liquor, Peach Puree, Lime Juice, Egg White.
Hyde at 53M is a gem, an absolute drinking destination. It’s an experience definitely worth crossing town for. Once you’ve tried it you are sure to trickle back time and time again. Cocktails range from RM40 – RM50 and the list changes bi-monthly. Order any classic you like, reminisce over a favourite, talk to the knowledgeable barmen about your likes and they will recommend something to suit. Reasons to visit: stylish atmosphere, entertaining bar tenders, delicious cocktails, strong measures, late night drinking fun.
Taste:9/10(Delicious. I ordered their whiskey sour which is a cocktail that contains whisky, lemon juice, sugar, and egg white. I like it as it come in big glass which I can enjoy it longer. Their pan seared scallops in ponzu teriyaki sauce were tasty)
As I reach the bar area, I am mezmerize by the selection of whisky that they are offering. There are so many whisky that I have not seen before.
Reasons to visit: classy setting; superb whisky collection; extremely knowledgeable staff; excellent bar bites.
To be honest, I wasn't disappointed.
Overall, satisfied with the 2nd visit to "The Great Beer Bar" after a lapse of almost 8 months. Interesting to see the owner venture into brewing his own craft beer, and definitely will 捧场 in the future!
Service was great here with the bartender recommeding taps, but that was manybe the bar only have few customer this evening.
Reasons to visit RyoRi at The Great Beer Bar: as mentioned in the introduction, beer and barbecue is happiness; craft beer and Japanese barbecue is elation.
Brewlander Respect (Porter) Finally, to cap things off, we ended with the Brewlander Respect. This for me was the star of the show. If you enjoy darker Porter beers, this is the one for you. It's full-bodied taste with hints of coffee and bitter-sweet notes will guarantee a satisfying experience, especially after a heavy meal or after an intense night out.
MUST TRY: Crispy Pork Belly with Apple Sauce and Mushroom
As for future visits, I am not too sure if I will be back. The ambiance does not beckon but I am sure there are others who may find this place (and the food) pleasing.
Thoughts: This is probably one of the most happening places in SS21, every table is filled up as early as 7:30pm. On a friday night, with live band started even before 8pm. I find the service here excellent, the waiters and waitresses (seems all from Philippine) very attentive despite my table was the furthest away from normal traffic. I like the indoor but chose the outside seating area. This is so far, the only pub in PJ that serves free nuts to go along with beer! The "大蒜五花肉 Garlic Pork Belly" was definitely 100% good with beer, crispy and tasty!

Three Stoges hosts great live band performances everyday. It’s a great place for a visit for a few rounds of drink and bar snacks or even main course as well.
Overall this place is a sold 8/10. Downside is, the place is rather small and gets very crowded during peak meal periods. Best to come earlier or make a reservation.
Tomo @ RM 30.90 – chasu pork belly, nori, soft boiled egg, wood ear fungus, scallion, bean sprouts. It is indeed a very interesting soup base. Love the thick soup base that punch with light soy, miso and pork bone soup after taste. Both are well balance and did not overpower each other. Sounds weird but taste awesome – recommended for first time order
Portion size here is on the petite side and you get two very thin slices of chasu. But mind you, it was generous in flavor. Look at the light charring which exuded an appetizing smokey aroma. If only they had been a tad generous with the protein.
Japanese Mee Goreng (RM 15) The Japanese Mee Goreng is another highlight. We love how they use soba instead of yellow noodle to stir fried. Burst with umphh.. the mee goreng is really appetizing with the kick of umph!
I quite like Miyagi Nga Pou Kai Fan. Using Japanese Soy Sauce and Chicken being grill first before adding on top. Can ask for extra soy sauce if you want it to get a little salty. Just nice as the flavour really does goes well with the highball.
"All you can eat" salad bar, bottomless soup and dessert with one's chosen fixed main meal at MYR 19 nett - good value for money - so we decided to eat at this eatery.
Nicsmann 1940s By Lewre introduces a delectable selection of treats both sweet and savoury with English premium tea for 2 pax, with RM85 only! The Hi-Tea On The Park is available from 2pm to 5pm daily.
My one favorite of bites is Potato Skin Stuffed with Crumble Chicken. Once I bite this, I love this taste because of the perfect combination and sauce. So delicious! Besides that, my good friend and I taste the mushroom soup which is totally special as it has several ingredients to mix together especially egg yolk added into its mushroom
87 Restaurant & Bar‘s beer might not be the cheapest in town, but it’s definitely cheap enough. An ice cold mug of Tiger beer is RM9.90 and it proved too enticing for me to pass up. Seeing that most cafes in the vicinity charge RM10 for a latte I might as well have a beer instead.
Verdict: Overall, Play.Lounge is a wallet-friendly place for unlimited games, cheap beers / cocktails, and well-portioned food. Ideal for hosting fun events / gatherings here too.
Reasons to visit: friendly and charming setting; LOVE the berry bar snacks; well-balanced cocktails at reasonable prices; don’t miss trying my favourite, That Hot Flush Tho.
The highlight of the night was the popular Roast Pork pasta dish ~ also known as Siew Yok Aglio Olio well-loved by diners. This is a fancier version of the simple Italian pasta dish with porkiness twist to it. Siew Yok (Roast Pork) was housemade, roasted to perfection with the crunchy skin on the outside leaving juicy layers of fats and lean on the inside.
Reasons to visit Los Flowerpecker: a return to simplicity in the bar, try the vermouth flight, Malaysian ingredients incorporated into the drinks, affordable pricing for well-crafted cocktails.
