Good news for those who have yet to try! They will be opening a stall at Eat Alley Singapore in few months’ times. Find them at Basement 2 of Orchard Gateway along with other nostalgic Kuala Lumpur Street food.
Interestingly, netizens gave high ratings for this Wan Ton Mee stall. But today, 50 minutes of LRT ride to KL, with high expectation but left with utter disappointment, not sure why this is one of the famous or "must-eat" stalls when in KL Petaling Street, as many touted it as even the "Best" Wan Ton Mee in town!
Despite what we felt about Koon Kee, there are surprisingly many good reviews about their noodles on various sites notably TripAdvisor and Foursquare. Maybe it’s due to nostalgia. Or simply because these people have never had a proper wantan mee before. In conclusion, don’t waste your time here and I bet the wantan mee stall in your neighborhood coffee shop could prepare a better tasting one.
