The slightly expensive rm$9 "干咖喱排骨麵 Stewed Dry Curry Pork Ribs Noodle" was acceptable but wasn't my liking today
Chan Meng Kee does offer good safe Covid-19 dining procedures with workers all on Masks and tables with Social Distancing partition screens
Will definitely be back here maybe for their Roasted Duck or Steamed chicken in the future!
What do We Like about Mama Ting, SS 2? -Delicious Sarawak laksa and the unique tomato kueh teow
Food was delicious. The first dish to arrive was the Belacan Fried Rice. We loved it. The rice had a slighty charred taste, which we craved for. There is something about that distinct taste that makes a dish more appealing. Same can be said about the taste of belacan. There were plenty of dry meat, eggs, long beans, shredded carrot with a nice portion of rice. The dish as a whole yummy.
Thoughts: Seems to be quite authentic East Malaysia food offered here at SS2's 陳媽 Restoran MaMa Ting. From Kampua Mee, Kolo Mee, Sarawak Laksa to Tomato Kuay Teow as well as Fu Chow noodle; all looks appetizing. The restaurant offers spacious seating during RMCO, and from order to food on the table was pretty quick as well. The rm$8.50 海鮮歌羅麵(紅) Kolo Mee Seafood w/red Sauce came with some red charsiew, fish cake, fish balls, and several good size prawns, garnished with lots of green onions, fried onions on a bowl of red sauce noodle; a satisfactory dinner!
Rice dishes are their signature but for take-away, soup Pan Mee may not be advisable!
Verdict: Come for the Traditional Dried Chilli Pan Mee. Price-wise, each bowl of noodles is priced at RM 6.00 on average. It is also noteworthy that the cleanliness and service there is of satisfactory quality.
Most of the food were pretty decent and chili pan mee to mee sure its a challenging thing, one thing I learn is that never follow people that add in, just taste first.
I personally enjoyed the dim sum here on 22.01.2019, and subsequently 09.08.2019 to sample the Roasted duck Wanton Mee and Dumpling soup!
I got mine with roast duck. The meat was nice and tender, albeit a little lean (I think what makes duck tasty is the fatty layer under the skin!). As for the noodles, they were al dente and the soy sauce flavouring was just right (not too salty).
Leaving 顺興烧蜡 with quite positive experience the 2nd time but still looking forward for some honey glazed charsiew next week coming here again to "Chan Meng Kee", which is just a few shops from 顺興烧蜡!
整体来说这里的食物算有水准,价钱经济 (咖喱面除外), 不错不错。
The famous Koey Teow Soup which I always love my noodle Koey Teow and mee mix. Look at the broth, which is not too clear and broth is pack with flavours. Quite the same taste as the one I ate at Bukit Mertajam. NO complain at all. Fish ball is just as I like. Smooth, chewy and springy.
Satisfied for a slightly pricey meal, I think!
What do We Like about Noodle Art SS 2? -The Sarawak laksa that is full of flavour -The unique fried kolomee
What do We Like about DayOne DayOne 小时光 SS 2? -Great variety of set meals to choose from -Reasonably priced for the set meals that come with side dishes -Comfortable dining environment
I ordered the basic Traditional Pork Noodle with Yee Mee at MYR 9.50 nett and super like the pieces of compacted minced pork because they taste exactly the same as those minced pork patties with pickled vegetable (tong choy or choy poh) so they are very delicious.
It was a good lunch. The serving size of the noodles was quite generous and we would have been good without the sides. But then again, where's the fun without sides, right?
What do We Like about Young Sanna Mee, SS 2? -An unique experience of hot stone pot individual steamboat -The soup base was flavourful
Overall, it was a delicious lunch that both of us loved it. We finished it off everything from the bowl. Yeah!! It's that good. Excellent service and delicious food. Second Visit? A big YES for me.
Overall, it's not a fish head noodles that I'd go rushing back for more anytime soon. Nothing stood out. The fried snacks failed to engage too...snacks like those are a dime a dozen. In the end, it came down to the soup base and I wasn't liking the superior soup here as much. Perhaps I should have tried the milky salted vegetable soup instead. Though they offer bursting meatballs, garoupa fish slices, pork belly slices, oyster and abalone slices just like Go Noodle House, their soup base (unfortunately) can't hold a candle to the good ones in Go Noodle House.
