Strong and woody latte – nice. The Godfeather Sandwich was really punchy, slightly spicy, with a myriad of flavours and textures from the masala chicken, tzaziki, corn jalapeños slaw and sunny side up.
46 Mittsu is definitely a decent sando joint to check out. Go for the B.E.C that’s clearly a signature for a reason!

Ambience at San.wich By Swee Heng is casual takeaway, though some outlets have adjourning modern seating in a brightly lit environment. Still, these sandwiches are designed to be eaten on the go, and the compact yet eye-catching packaging is rightly approriate.

Service at Gyu San is friendly, efficient, and chirpy. The relatively young service staff offer recommendations, though the menu is small and focused, but they're able to describe each dish. They proactively top up water glasses, and offer to remove finished plates; I also note they clean up quickly when guests leave. Order fulfillment has a short wait.
Gyu San is your one-stop haven for Japanese prime beef served at its finest, in its finest.
Oh, and this was from a shop called REBEL, a sandwich place at TripleOne Somerset (111 Somerset Road #01-08). I think they were trying to do a bánh mì spin on Subway, but it tasted more like the latter than the former. At least they are open for takeaway orders right now, with meat-based options too.
All in all, we found delight in the complimentary Wi-Fi and a cozy ambiance. It is certainly charming to discover a homely place within all the mayhem.
So the food is not half bad. But it is as great a pleasure to be gazing out at the roof garden, the ever-churning malls all around the new Jurong.
Poppy Pops cafe is one a good place to have your dessert after your meal but it wasn't a good place to chill because it will be very noisy and the cafe is quite small.
By the owners’ admission, this venture is a safe place for them to test waters on a steady clientele, gradually improving their food while having complete control over their space.
Great for all that cornicione.
I'll still come back for another topping though.
The cafe, a chic spot bedecked in black with a pretty little greenhouse-like nook, is wonderfully cool to hang out in the blazing heat of the afternoon sun.
Something that bothered us about them was the lack of aroma from their food.
The Blimp is Turkey, Roast Beef, Salami, Pepperoni and Provolone with accompaniments.
They were so good that they even managed to nab a spot on our Top 50 food places in 2019!
Super Sub Hotdogs, at PLQ and Suntec City, serve gourmet hotdogs, with a variety of toppings, that come with tortilla chips - for under $10.
They do really rich, lavish bubble teas you can order as an accompaniment to your sandwiches. Their Black Dot Boba Teas come thick with a scoop of ice cream blended in and in a range of flavours, from Black Sugar, to Red Velvet to Brulee Cheesecake.
Most places tend to force-fit two distinct cuisines together, but this joint has managed to marry local flavours with classic Vietnamese street food.
The Vietnamese-owned takeaway kiosk of Banh Mi is located about 10 minutes from Jurong East MRT station. Located just right opposite the bustling coffee shop, Happy Hawkers where the popular Braised Duck Stall is.
The quality of food at Grasso Coffee was generally good and the prices were very reasonable.
Overall, I find that the mains provided by Otto's Deli Fresh are scrumptious and worth the money spent. It will be great to be back again for other stuff.
I had the Beef Stroganoff Fettucine, I was hoping for a little more beef, but for the reasonable price charged…it was probably wishful thinking. The fettucine was fresh and perfectly al dente. No complaints there!
It's opened by a veteran chef, a Otto Weibel who is former director of kitchens for Swissotel The Stamford Singapore and Fairmont Singapore for 26 years.
